The sight was, quite frankly, an adorable one, and Moana found herself smiling once more. “Seems like she’s going to be a handful, huh? Think you’ll need any help taking care of her?” She asked with a warm smile, gingerly placing a hand on the still healing claw next to her. It wasn’t the one Coconut had chosen as a bed, so at least she wasn’t going to disturb the sleeping croc pup. 

Thinking the offer over in his head only took Tamatoa a few moments, as he had a pretty good idea what he needed help with. “Well, the kid needs food... But i don’t really trust the place enough to let her run around, and i can’t exactly reach many trees myself, so..?”

“Bring her food, got it.” A decisive nod let the crab know that at least this human had his back.

On a early warm morning on one of the islands, a dull yellow egg laid in the sand half buried and the waves gently washing aginst it. The egg started to rock and a few tiny parts off the egg shell fell off . The creature of the egg starts to chirp softly as it had been ready to get out of the egg right now, another small chunk had come out of the egg as it now calls out, but the calling stopped, only by a being picking up the egg.

Said being, a large crab that had been half-assedly combing the little section of beachfront he could reach, held the tiny shell with strange gentleness considering the size of his claws. He had stumbled upon the the item by chance after noticing it’s shine in the early sun, and decided it would be best to keep the birthing creature safe from the villagers until it could get back to wherever it came from.

He knew a lot about vulnerability, and even though Tamatoa had given up on ‘family’ a long time ago, he wasn’t about to subject a baby to whatever the villagers may have planned.
