Anyway, here's the Rarity and Capper fankids! Their description is under the cut.

I've been wanting to redesign these two for ages tbh. I was never that happy with Sparkler's colors and I had designed Snow Belle before I really figured out her personality. So I tweaked them a bit, to make Belle more sporty and spunky (also swapped out her back paws for hooves and her unicorn tail for a cat one) and gave Sparkler tuxedo coloring! And also a scarf, since she likes making clothes with her mom.

Name: Sparkler Nickname: Sparky (Capper's really the only one who calls her this), Sparks    Age: Teenager  Pronouns: She/her  Parents: Capper Dapperpaws and Rarity    Bio: Rarity and Capper's adopted daughter! They spent quite a few arduous years filling out all the correct paperwork and doing interviews but they were finally able to adopt their daughter Sparkler as a very young kitten. Rarity was overwhelmed with joy at finally being able to hold her daughter, and spent the next few weeks bursting into happy tears every time Sparkler purred beside her. Sparkler discovered very early on that she preferred being a girl over a boy, as she was initially gendered, and her parents happily accepted her change in pronouns (Rarity took to it without any trouble, but Capper does tend to trip up now and then much to his embarrassment). Sparkler is spunky, cheerful, and down to earth; she enjoys sewing clothes with her mother, though she doesn't have as much interest in trying the outfits on herself. She and Rain Shower (Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash's son) have been friends ever since they started at Twilight's school, because she was never interested in fawning over him like many of the other students. She has a big unrequited crush on Bowtie, Pinkie and Cheese's son and Rarity's Canterlot assistant, that she enjoys sighing dramatically over a tall glass of milk at the end of the day. 

Name: Snow Belle  Nickname: Snow Ball, Belle Age: Child  Pronouns: She/her Parents: Capper Dapperpaws and Rarity Cutie Mark: Athletics  Bio: Capper and Rarity's little surprise kitten. They had no idea that they were biologically able to conceive, having briefly talked to a doctor who shot down any possibility of it happening. Yet low and behold when Sparkler was around 5, Rarity realized she was pregnant. It was a hard pregnancy and Snow Belle was born very fragile and weak, having to spend the first months of her life in the hospital. As she grew older though, she was actually very outdoorsy and athletic. She has a cheerful outward disposition, but suffers from pretty severe anxiety. She desperately wants to be accepted by everyone and tends to use her sports prowess as a way to endear herself to the other ponies at her school (though she just as often uses sports as comforting stress relief; can't have an anxiety attack about everyone hating you if you run so many laps you pass out). She loves sports of any kind, but has a particular fondness for tennis and gymnastics. Snow Belle's horn is very undersized and the only magic it can do is glow and pick up objects. It serves her well enough in sports so it's underpowered aspects don't bother her much. She's good friends Clover (Soarin and Applejack's youngest daughter), Silver, and Ruby (Gabi and Spike's kids) and they have a pretty tight nit group. She and Silver are especially close, with very clear crushes on each other. Ruby and Clover are disgusted with this. 

Relationships with each other: Sparkler and Snow Belle are very close, though Sparkler wasn't sure what to make of her at first. First she was worried that Snow Belle would take all of her parents attention away, but then she just never showed up! After quite some time in the hospital, Sparkler was finally allowed to visit her little sister and her first thought upon seeing the undersized kitten was "I would kill a man for you". Snow Belle idolizes her older sister, but sometimes to the point of not wanting to bother her with her fears and anxieties. 

Relationships with their parents: Their whole family unit is very close as a whole! Sparkler and Rarity are especially close, sharing a love of gossip and clothes making. Snow Belle and Capper love to race through Everfree Forest and he's very proud of her athletic abilities. Capper understands how his daughters sometimes feel like outsiders and does his best to support them in any way he can. Rarity can and will fight other parents at Parent Teacher meetings if they turn their noses up at her kids.

Alright next up we got Spike and Gabby's adopted kids! Birds are uuuuuh very hard for me to draw, so I apologize in advance for any wonky looking or samey griffins laksdjfal

Name: Silver Age: Child Pronouns: He/him Parents: Spike and Gabby Siblings: Ruby (younger sister) Bio: Spike and Gabby's older child, Silver has lived his whole life in Equestria. He is gentle, kind, and artistic; very daydreamy and often lost in thought. He tends to get targeted by pony bullies a lot, being an easier mark then Snow Belle or Ruby. Silver's gentle nature keeps him from earnestly fighting back, and honestly he'd prefer if they went after him then his sister and friends so he tends to just lie there and take it. Ruby has no such qualms and will fight extremely dirty anytime she catches the bullies beating on her brother. The two of them are very close and are friends with Snow Belle (Rarity and Capper's daughter) and Clover (Soarin and Applejack's daughter). Silver and Snow Belle have pretty big crushes on each other, though Silver hasn't had the guts yet to admit it to her.

Name: Ruby Age: Child Pronouns: She/they Parents: Spike and Gabby (tentatively playing with the idea that Garble is her bio dad) Siblings: Silver (older brother) Bio: The younger of the siblings, but clearly the boss around the house. Ruby is tough and extremely protective of not just her fluff brained brother, but also her dopey kind-hearted parents. Someone around here CLEARLY needs to be in charge and Ruby's the one to do it! Seeing just how bad the bullying of her brother could get is what gave her that intense protective streak, to the point that she's very distrusting anyone she doesn't know well. By some miracle she managed to make friends with Snow Belle and Clover, and the four are often seen spending time with each other at Cheerilee's school and planning what classes they'll all take once they're old enough for Twilight's magic academy. Ruby and Clover get on especially well, probably sensing kindred pain in the ass spirits in each other.

Relationships with their parents: They all get along quite well, though both Spike and Gabby can be a bit bemused by Ruby's bullheadedness. Spike can better handle Ruby when she's in one of her moods (he's long since gotten used to Twilight's meltdowns after all) while Gabby can get a bit flustered by her daughter's bluntness. Silver is a huuuuuge mama's boy and also spends hours with Spike baking in the kitchen. He begged Ruby not to tell their parents how bad the bully situation is, convinced that it'll stop once they're old enough for Twilight's school; Ruby's not so sure, but Silver so rarely begs for anything she reluctantly agreed.

Quick redo of the art on the Soarinjack next gen kids cause that old piece uuuuh... is pretty rough! They were the first ponies I'd drawn in a long time and I didn't spend a whole lot of time cleaning them up. So here they are, drawn much better! 

And here's some slightly updated bios! Nothing too major, just a few tweaks. 

Name: Skyline Nickname: Sky Age: Adult Pronouns: she/her  Siblings: Apple Buck (younger brother), Clover (younger sister)  Parents: Applejack and Soarin  Cutie Mark: Trees and nature  Bio: The oldest of the three Apple siblings, she has an earth pony build in a pegasus body. She loves spending time in the orchards and has named every single tree on the farm. Skyline is very high energy, and while farm work does take the edge off she also participates in just about any local physical event. Skyline isn't very competitive but she enjoys both the physical and social aspects of these competitions. She's not the fastest flier, but her powerful build is very helpful in bad weather conditions. She and Buck get along very well, both of them being very physical and easy going. Skyline can get on Clover's nerves pretty easily though, since she tends to baby her little sister and not take her very seriously. This isn't helped by the very large age gap between, as Skyline was in high school when Clover was born. 

Name: Apple Buck Nickname: Buck Age: Adult  Pronouns: He/They  Siblings: Skyline (older sister), Clover (younger sister)  Parents: Applejack and Soarin  Cutie Mark: Running  Bio: The middlest sibling! Buck is a relaxed and calm pony (a little too relaxed if you ask Applejack). He doesn't mind farm work and he'll help his family out when the harvest is heaviest, but his heart really lies in running. He's a professional track runner, having a very lithe build for an earth pony athlete. It calls him away from Ponyville very often so he doesn't get spend much time at Sweet Apple Acres, but his family always goes out to see his biggest races wherever he's running. Later on after his retirement, he settles back in Ponyville and delivers mail with the thriving local post office. Both Buck and Skyline get along well with their parents, though Applejack can guilt trip him a little bit about spending so much time away from the farm. Soarin was able to give him a lot of advice on major pitfalls to avoid when entering the world of competitive sports. He'll often grab drinks with his childhood friend Dragonfly, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash's oldest daughter, when he's competing in Canterlot. 

Name: Clover  Age: Child  Pronouns: She/her  Siblings: Skyline (older sister), Apple Buck (older brother)  Parents: Applejack and Soarin  Cutie Mark: None (will probably be something invention related)  Bio: The youngest of Applejack and Soarin's children by a wide margin. Clover was an unexpected pregnancy and a difficult one at that. She was born early and premature, and the doctors weren't sure she would survive the night. Clover was nothing if not tenacious though, and she luckily pulled through (earning her name based on a lucky plant). Clover has very severe asthma and terrible eyesight, and her parents baby her a lot. Soarin in particular is anxious about everything she does or goes near; Applejack is good at finding less labor involved tasks for Clover to do and really admires her drive to help out on the farm, but will gently try to dissuade her from helping out with bucking trees and hauling apples. As a result of spending so much time in doors, Clover is very studious and loves books. She has a fascination with inventions and has many plans to build machines to help make up for her not being able to work on the farm like the rest of her family. She hates being babied and has started snapping at anyone who insinuates that she can't do something. Buck is the only who is spared this treatment, due in part to the fact that he's gone so frequently and because he doesn't treat her like she's made of glass (he took Clover out jogging one morning after a big race and Soarin almost had a heart attack; Clover loved him for it)

Today was a stressful day, but Bright Oak is so relaxing to draw! I also thought I'd go with a trans headcanon for Big Mac in this universe because… well cause I like them! And yeah no Sugar Belle relationship, I'm just not a huge fan of her design and she's from the later seasons that I'm less familiar with.

Bio time!

Name: Bright Oak Nicknames: Oak, Bright Pronouns: He/him Age: Adult Parents: Cheerilee and Orchard Blossom (Big Mac) Siblings: none Cutie Mark: Wood carving and family Bio: Big, cheerful, and helpful! Bright Oak is Cheerilee and Orchard Blossom's only son and adore him. Bright Oak might not be sharpest tool in the shed, but he's always willing to drop everything to help someone in need. He's high energy and always makes time to do his fair share of farm work before heading off to his wood carving stall in the morning markets of Ponyville. He specializes in small, intricate objects but can also make a pretty mean rocking chair. He came out to his parents as a trans stallion when he was a teenager. His parents were a little baffled, but supported him wholeheartedly and dove into researching more about the subject. Through the long study sessions Blossom resonated with the material more and more and just a year after Bright Oak came out, tentatively came out of the closet herself to her very supportive family. Oak was delighted to have his mother join him in their transition.

Relationship to his parents: Bright Oak is very close to both his parents, being their only son. It's a bit unusual for an Apple pairing to only have one foal, but Cheerilee was pretty much done with pregnancy after giving birth to her very large son. He and Cheerilee often walk to the schoolhouse together in the mornings when he's heading to market, and of course Bright Oak is 1000% supportive of Blossom's coming out.

Relationship to his cousins: For some reason, he and Skyline became instant rivals as soon as they could walk. They're both aggressively cheerful and energetic ponies, and that energy tends to clash sometimes. They often compete to see who can buck the most apples or carry the heaviest loads. But Skyline was also the first pony Bright Oak came out to as trans and she gave him the encouragement to let his parents know. Bright Oak and Buck get along well, though sometimes both Bright Oak and Skyline's beaming energy can be a little much for Buck.

But he does tend to annoy Clover though, in the same way that most of the Apple family does; he'll see her struggling with a chore and just come of and cheerfully pluck it out of her hooves, not realizing he's just made an enemy for life with this decision.

Relationship with Apple Bloom: Bright Oak works a lot with his aunt, who has a similar crafting based cutie mark. They actually share a large studio space on the farm and often critique each other's work.

Fun Facts:

Bright Oak got his name both from Orchard Blossom's stories about her parents and from his mentor Burnt Oak! He actually got his cutie mark when Burnt Oak gave him a wood carving tool and log to distract the kid when he was babysitting Bright Oak. Yes Orchard Blossom totally cried when Bright Oak told them what his new name was.

Bright Oak is the oldest of Apple family children, being about two years older then Skyline.

Drawing more ponies to deal with stress! Up next we have the royal heirs of the kingdom: Sundance, only daughter of Princess Celestia and Discord, and Eventide and Moonlight Sonata, the children of Princess Luna and Rockhoof. All three of them are very close, though Sunny and Moonlight are notoriously public shy. Some more info on them! Name: Princess Sundance Nickname: Sunny, Sunflower (only called this by Celestia) Age: Adult Pronouns: She/her Parents: Celestia and Discord Cutie Mark: Doesn't receive one, but if she did get one it would probably be a mark for empathy or compassion Bio: Despite being the only child of two of the most powerful (and prank loving) beings in the kingdom, Sunny is very shy and gentle. Growing up, her parents were very protective and unintentionally isolated her from making many friends. This is due to the fact that Sunny was kidnapped when she was very young by an extremist group who disapproved of Celestia's partnership with Discord. She was found fairly quickly, but it had a deep effect on her parents and how they raised her. Sunny is very nervous around ponies she doesn't know, despite a desperate desire to make new friends. As a result of her isolation, she is very very close to her quiet cousins Eventide and Moonlight. She is intelligent and well read, and has a deep guilty pleasure fondness for romantic novels and movies. She loves her parents a lot, but is frustrated with their coddling; Discord swings wildly back and forth between joking around so much that he knocks her off balance and being incredibly over protective of her. Celestia's moods are more balanced, but she can coddle her daughter to the point of being cloying. They've both gotten better about it over the years, but it's had an undeniable effect on Sunny. Name: Princess Eventide Nickname: Evie (only her closest friends and family get to call her this) Age: Adult Pronouns: She/her Parents: Luna and Rockhoof Cutie Mark: Constellations, in particular designing new looks for the night sky Bio: The oldest of the heirs and the one who spends the most time in public. Eventide is quiet and thoughtful, very sure of herself and her decisions. She's a steady rock for her more emotionally fragile cousin and brother, but doesn't baby them (Sunny in particular) as much as their parents do. Evie can be stoic to the point of stiffness and can come off as rude to ponies who don't know her well, but she's very caring and goes out of her way to help anyone who asks. She may look short next to her extraordinarily tall relatives, but she also towers over most ponies; she just happens to be the shortest of this bunch. She is very close to both her parents, but spends a lot of time designing new constellations with Luna in particular and studying the science of the night sky. Name: Prince Moonlight Sonata Nickname: Moonlight Age: Adult Pronouns: He/him Parents: Luna and Rockhoof Cutie Mark: Gardening, with an emphasis on night plants Bio: The youngest of the trio, though pretty close in age to Sunny. He's also very shy and introverted, with an extreme dislike of large crowds and the meanspirited gossip of Canterlot. He rarely makes court appearances, preferring instead to spend time in his night garden tending his plants and flowers. He has a surprisingly delicate constitution in the sun, and will often pass out if he has to spend too much time outside on a warm day. He and Sunny are very close, and often commiserate over their shared dislike of interacting with new ponies, though he doesn't have as strong a desire to make friends like she does; he's happy with his family and his garden. Of course this all changed when a fiery pegasus crash landed right into his hydrangeas and his life one night. Dragonfly, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash's oldest daughter, accidentally landed face first into being one of the only outside ponies to befriend the Royal Heirs. She and Moonlight are close in particular, though it takes him some time to admit that he enjoys her company over the previous peaceful silence of night. One day he'll figure out why his heart beats so fast whenever he sees her land in his garden at night with a cocky grin or why she blushes when he clucks over her injuries from her run ins with various dangerous creatures, but it'll take him quite a while to come to terms with it. Fun facts: Sunny's tail isn't actually like a horse tail, it's more like a cat or fox tail! It can wag and emote much more then your average loose haired horse tail. Moonlight's mane isn't white, it's a very pale silver and is emitting a constant gentle glow, which is more noticeable at night. He usually keeps his tail pinned up since it gets in the way while he's working and if he does have to go someplace that has other ponies, they often touch it without asking him which he haaaaates. He does like the silver and glow, which is the only reason he hasn't cut his mane or tail extremely short. His hooves have a glitter of stardust.  I always have trouble finding Rainbow Dash ships I'm happy with, but Flutterdash is a great classic. Had some problems figuring out these guy's colors, but I'm really happy with their final look! Rainbow's mane ALWAYS gives me issues, but I wanted to incorporate multicolored manes in there somewhere without it looking terrible. Name: Dragonfly Age: Adult Pronouns: She/her Parents: Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash Cutie Mark: Affinity with dangerous creatures Bio: Don't be fooled by her height, Dragonfly is actually quite a few years older then her brother Rain Shower. She shares Flutter's connection with animals, but the bigger and more dangerous the creature the better! She works in Canterlot, helping to care for and rehabilitate the exotic animals local guards seize from wealthy ponies. While she usually acts as more of a temporary holder for the creatures before they can be sent off to other sanctuaries, she dreams of one day opening a sanctuary of her own. Dragonfly is brash, bold, and completely uncaring of the injuries she gets from various animals she's helping. She and Rain bicker a lot, but that's just their default state of communication. She's accidentally managed to befriend the notoriously shy children of the Equestrian Royal Family by crash landing in their garden while trying to capture a very panicked young manticore flying around the castle (hopefully their bios will come soon!) Name: Rain Shower Age: Teenager Nickname: Rain, Rainy (only his moms get to call him this) Pronouns: He/him Parents: Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash Cutie Mark: Weather science Bio: Fluttershy and Dash's younger son is quiet and rather morose. He's still attending Twilight's School of Friendship along with his best friend Sparkler, Rarity and Capper's adopted Abyssian daughter (bio coming soon!). He's very popular for his looks and quiet polite attitude; he dislikes the attention and has trouble really connecting with other ponies, since he suspects they're only being friendly due to a romantic interest. Sparkler seems to be the one exception to this rule as they accidentally became best friends after being constantly paired up by teachers for anything that required it. Her upbeat attitude and quick wit give them a relaxed dynamic and she's who Rain opens up to most easily. He has a huge crush on her that he's still coming to terms with and is nervous that once they graduate school they'll drift apart. He misses Dragonfly a lot since she moved to Canterlot, though he'd DIE before he told her that. Relationship with Parents: Both Dragonfly and Rain Shower get along well with their mothers, though Dash can tend to bull right over Rain's opinions sometimes without realizing it. She's disappointed that neither of her kids seem interested in professional flying, but is pleased that Dragonfly is doing very badass work. Rain feels the pressure a little more, though Dash's trying not to let it show. Fluttershy has a great relationship with both her children. She was there when Dragonfly first got her cutie mark, helping to calm down an injured brown bear, and is always willing to work quietly in the garden with Rain when he wants company but not conversation.

Shining and Cadence's many children! I don't tend to like giving my next gens a bunch of siblings cause it's hard to keep track of everyone but honestly these two are totally the type to have a ton of kids. Here's some quick bios on them! Name: Flurry Heart (nicknames: Flurry) Age: Adult Pronouns: She/her Parents: Shining Armor and Mi Amore Cadenza Siblings: Frost Shimmer, Golden Hour, Cupid Cutie Mark: Protection Bio: The oldest of the four Crystal Empire kids and the only known pony to be born an alicorn, Flurry is kind and extremely protective of those close to her. Like her younger cousin North Star, Flurry also suffers from powerful bursts of magic though hers' are less frequent and intense. She makes trips to visit him Canterlot whenever she can to study their control issues (right now they think it may be a side effect of having an alicorn parent). Flurry earned her cutie mark when she and an injured Frost Shimmer got trapped in a blizzard outside the city and Flurry's protective magic was the only thing that kept them alive until help arrived. Frost also got their cutie mark in this incident and the two siblings are very close still. Flurry still feels extremely guilty for the loss of Frost's wing, though Frost has mostly comes to term with it. She doesn't always have much time to spend with Golden Hour and Cupid, in between her studies as heir of the kingdom and researching her magic control issues. Name: Frost Shimmer (nicknames: Frost, Frosty) Age: Adult Pronouns: They/them Siblings: Flurry Heart, Golden Hour, Cupid Cutie Mark: Determination, willpower Bio: The second oldest of the bunch, Frost Shimmer is quiet and thoughtful. They look up to Flurry with a mixture of admiration and a sense of rivalry, and tries to make themselves available as an older sibling to Golden Hour and Cupid when they can. They insisted on being a part of Flurry's personal protection squad and often travels with her to Canterlot; they're friends with Bowtie and will often grab lunch with him when Flurry is visiting North Star. They lost their wing when they were a child, when they and Flurry were playing outside the city and a burst of accidental magic from Flurry hurt their wing badly. Before they could get back for medical help, a terrible blizzard hit the area and they were stuck for hours. It was only thanks to Flurry's magic and Frost's willpower that kept them alive and they earned their cutie marks that night. Doctors would have been hard pressed to save the wing even if they'd made it to a hospital immediately but after the long hours in the cold there was no hope for it. Frost doesn't blame Flurry, but they hate being perceived as weak or needing to be coddled and so they joined the Crystal Empire Royal Guard. They're a personal protégé of Flash Sentry, who was one of the only trainers to take them seriously. Name: Golden Hour (nicknames: Gold, Goldy. She hates being called by a nickname though and usually insists on her full name) Age: Teenager Pronouns: She/her Siblings: Flurry Heart, Frost Shimmer, Cupid Cutie Mark: Photography Bio: The third born, Golden Hour is dramatic and loud and attention grabbing. She's can be a bit of a borderline bully because of how forceful her personality is, but she usually doesn't mean any harm. She and Cupid are studying abroad at Twilight's magic school, and Golden Hour has been trying for ages to be the queen bee. She knows how popular and admired Rain Shower and Sparkler are and often tries to forcibly insert herself into their friend group; Sparkler mostly just thinks she's funny but Rain Shower has very little patience for her. She will often challenge other students to random challenges and duels to prove her superiority and she usually ends up loosing, but she does it in such a dramatic and silly fashion that most of the students just think she's funny. Most of her in your face personality is a bit of a façade, as she's very insecure about wanting attention and being respected. She does feel self conscious being the third born and having such a small talent as photography compared to her older siblings regal presentations and powerful cutie marks. She and Cupid are very close though and she often will dramatically cry into his shoulder. He's probably gonna be a therapist when he's grown up Bio: The youngest of Cadence and Shining Armor's children, Cupid tends to get lost in the shuffle. It doesn't bother him too much, as he doesn't crave everyone's attention in the way Golden Hour does and his entire family dotes on him constantly. He is gentle and sweet and always willing to provide a listening ear to whoever needs it. He worships Flurry Heart, and often deliberately styles his mane in a similar fashion to hers'; he's actually very fastidious with his appearance and spends a lot of time on personal grooming. While Cupid is very good at listening to others and offering advice, he's actually pretty bad about being open with his own feelings and tends to bottle them up rather then be perceived as a burden. He's the most open with Golden Hour. Relationship with their parents: Flurry and Frost are closest to their parents, being the first born and generally needing the most attention (Flurry's magic surges and Frost's missing wing; that took quite a few years of physical therapy), but as their two oldest have become more independent Cadence and Shining Armor are able to spend more time with their youngest children. They miss Golden Hour and Cupid terribly while they're studying abroad though and have a debate between themselves at least once a week whether they should just bring them home. As it is, they usually think of some random excuse to go visit every few weeks anyway. Relationships with each other: They generally paired off in terms of age. Flurry and Frost are very close, as are Golden Hour and Cupid. Golden Hour was DELIGHTED when her little brother arrived and started bossing him around as soon as he could toddle. Relationship with their cousins: They all generally get along, though Flurry and North Star are very close on account of having similar issues with their magic; Frost is similarly very protective of their nervous cousin. Morning Light, who is a teacher at her mother's school, thinks Golden Hour is hilarious and will often deliberately get her to go off on one of her loud proclamations in the middle of class. She's always willing to lend a listening ear to Cupid as well, though she usually has to trick him into talking about his feelings. Morning and Frost have something of a rivalry though, as Morning thinks Frost has a stick up their butt and Frost thinks Morning isn't serious enough. Fun facts: - Despite being the second oldest, Frost is the shortest! They are not a fan of this. They do also have the biggest wingspan though, to make up for it. - Golden Hour and Cupid are VERY tall, easily taller then most of the ponies in Twilight's school - Cupid is a year or two younger then Golden Hour! I tend to avoid giving my characters specific ages cause I don't want to bother with specific timelines but he's about 14 to her 16. Anyway, onto the twins of the royal family of friendship! Name: Princess Morning Light Nickname: Light Age: Adult Pronouns: She/her Parents: Princess Twilight Sparkle and Sunburst Siblings: North Star (twin brother), Luster Dawn (half sister), Spike (adopted older brother)   Cutie Mark: Magical Research Bio: The older of the twins, Morning Light is a fairly relaxed and easy going mare. She doesn't think too much about the fact that she's from a royal family and dedicates most of her time to intensive research on the inner workings of magic, occasionally calling on her brother's unusually large reservoir of magic for testing. She teaches at Twilight's school and regularly tutors Clover (Soarin and Applejack's youngest daughter) readily encouraging her fascination with science and magic. Light's sleep habits are awful, and she suffers from random attacks of narcolepsy; North Star is constantly fretting over her and tries to accompany her whenever she travels. He's nervous, easily startled, and a constant worrier about just about everything. He inherited his mother's deep well of power, which he is not really a fan of but tries to manage as best he can. It's powerful enough to the point where he has trouble just doing regular things with his magic, like lifting objects without shattering them or lighting a candle without it blowing up. He's gotten better at controlling it over the years, but he just can't do small delicate spellwork and it can easily accidentally smash something if his concentration lapses. He currently spends most of his time in Canterlot at Celestia's Academy, learning more about the limitations of his magic. North is very close to his cousin Flurry Heart, who had similar problems with her strong magic in her youth, and they often write each other. Relationship with their parents: Since just about everyone in the family has similar nerdly interests, there's often a great deal of spirited debate about magic theory around the dinner table. Both Twilight and Sunburst tend to overly worry about their children, though Light mostly has her narcolepsy under control and North only smashes something by accident every couple of weeks. Twilight and Sunburst were fairly well equipped to handle the overly powerful child of an alicorn princess after their misadventures with Flurry Heart, so it wasn't as hectic as it could have been. Relationship with Luster Dawn: Luster Dawn is the accidental child of Sunburst and Starlight, who dated sometime before he and Twilight became an item. It seemed only natural with their history that they should give a relationship a go, but it went sour almost immediately. Sunburst has always been something of a doormat and Starlight tended to walk right over him all the time without realizing it. Sunburst was very close to plucking up the courage to call it quits when Starlight turned out to be pregnant. While they never married, the arrival of Luster Dawn did cause the relationship to zombie on for another few years before Sunburst finally called it off when Luster was around 4. Luster resented her father and her half siblings for a long time, but the twins eventually wore her down; Luster helped calm down North during one of his power meltdowns and it brought all three of them very close together. While Luster can still be a little standoffish with Twilight, she and the twins regularly spend a lot of time together in Canterlot. Relationship with Spike: Spike was always the cool older brother figure to Light and North, who toddled around after him as soon as they could walk (Spike absolutely never used this power for evil and NEVER used his baby siblings as a distraction while he snuck a few more gem snacks from the kitchen no sir) Spike was always good at predicting Twilight's intense swings towards anxiety, and this intuition translated over to her children. He's always ready with a blanket for Light when she passed out on the way to the bathroom or prepared with a calming presence during one of North's magical panic attacks.

A few headcanony facts! - The trio grew up in an orphanage together and are not related by blood, but consider each other family - They were taken in by Starswirl a short time after they received their cutie marks; he'd sensed a great potential for power in them, though he tended to be dismissive of Luna and Gaius - Celestia received her cutie mark the first time she participated in the unicorn ceremony of raising the sun - Luna received her cutie mark when she cleared the sky of clouds so everyone at the orphanage could watch a meteor shower - Gaius received his cutie mark when the other orphans got to try the food from his makeshift garden for the first time
