Sometimes, Brute simply wanted to get away from it all. There was so much pressure and Licorice did so much yelling and complaining! It was nice to find a place that was quiet. Most of the time, he snuck off to drink tea, but this time he found himself standing in the rain.

He didn't even seem to care that his spongy dough was soaking a lot of it up. He simply closed his eyes and let out an exhausted sigh, pointed snout turned skyward as he listened to the shower around him. Brute knew he couldn't stand out in the rain for too long, or he'd get all mushy.

What a pain!

At least he'd enjoy the silence while he had it…

This is, before a sharp, commanding voice cut through his senses and caused him to jump.

"R-Red Velvet? What're you doing here?" He hadn't even answered the other desert's question, more out of being startled than anything.
