Moody Fall Styled Shoot
I’ll be honest this styled shoot was Halloween inspired, however I do think the final look can be incorporated into the extended holiday season. Perhaps inspiration for your Thanksgiving tablescape!
We collaborated with many talented artists in the wedding & event industry to bring this vision together. Their unique skills made this entire styled photo shoot whole and unique.
Moch Snyder took every single one of these stunning photos! She even took actual film! Her talent speaks for itself in the photos that follow.

It’s a party and you’re invited! These custom invitations were created by rjcalligraphyco.
The urbanly chic Canvas Events Space graciously hosted us for this event. Their vaulted gathering space for dinner and dancing in combination with cozily lofted rooms for more intimate conversations are to be very desired for any celebration!

This mid-century bar, rentable from Yay! Parties & Co, was one of our backbones of inspiration. Mid Century Modern. We stocked it plumb full of our vintage glassware and even mixed up a little cocktail!

A Pomegranate Moscow Mule, concocted easily with the help of Williams & Sonoma’s premade mix, just add vodka. Served up in our Smoke Collection water glass.

Shaken not stirred. Two of Seattle’s finest Mitch & Julianna assisted us with their beauty and character.

Julianna’s hair and radiantly natural makeup was done by HM Salon.
If you haven’t taken note of all the beautiful floral accents, please pause, take note. Petal and Posy was on site creating all of these stunning floral masterpieces before our eyes!

All the furniture was provided by Yay! Parties & Co. The have an amazing collection of furniture rentals and accessories. Vintage and modern, they speak our design love language!

NOW!!! Let’s get to our favorite, the tablescape!!!!

We set the table with our carrara marble chargers, black dinner plate, and crystal salad plate. Water, wine, champagne; served up via our Smoke Collection and Black Goblet Collection.

Lucy & Lemons provide these scrumptious cupcakes and the decadent cake at the bar. The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful!

These tan leather chairs from Yay! Parties & Co. are great for bride & groom seats or a lounge space at any event.

Black and White Halloween Tablescapes

We went all out Halloween and had a lot of fun with these tablescapes. Now they may not scream class or timeless, but it was certainly fun to put together some originally spooky tablesettings!

Our Mercer Plates and Black Plate Collection are the perfect base for classic black and white layers!
Mercer Plate Collection & Black Plate Collection

This silver “charger” (aka serving tray) creates the perfect accent as a charger.
Silver Serving Trays

CLASSIC MILK GLASS Timeless even in a spooky halloween tablescape!

We are IN LOVE OBSESSED with our Black Goblet Collection.

Candy corn or any festive candy makes for such a fun centerpiece! Imagine a thick table runner of candy corn!!!!! Wish we would have snapped a picture!

Autumn Harvest Tablescape
The transition into fall is our favorite time of year. That perfect window where once summer’s heat has been thoroughly enjoyed and the yearning for cooler days is welcomed. Yet, it’s that transitional period where the mornings are cool and crisp, but the afternoons are still warm, not too hot. Its a small lovely window of time, every year, and we welcome it annually! Now that you know of our love for this timeframe it will come as no surprise that we had so much fun creating crisp warm tablescapes to encapsulate the vision of an Autumn Harvest Tablescape. We styled three different settings with slight variances, but all still encapsulating an Autumn Harvest.
The base for our inspiration was our beloved depression glass goblets. We mixed amber and blue depression glass goblets, and gold accented water glasses in the table settings.

We had three varying tablescapes. The first two only had a slight variation, being the waterglasses, but the third setting omitted the amber and focused on blue hues.

In the following blue tablescape we dropped the amber from even the vintage tablecloth and designed/created this lush antiqued hydrangea garland for a tablerunner.

You can’t have a wedding or party without dessert! Tanya of Scarlet Nantes made an incredible Orange Cardamon Cake. The cake was not only the show stopper of the barcart, but also of our tastebuds. You can place special orders with her through her Instagram account, and we highly suggest you do!

A barcart makes a fun statement at every gathering. From hosting the “bar” to displaying desserts, or even a place for a wedding guest book & card basket, or especially a place for guests to refill their champagne, a barcart is a great addition!

We designed this floral centerpiece, styled in one of our antique brass goblets. We love an elevated floral centerpiece as it doesn’t take up much of the tabletop space and the draping effect is beautifully dramatic.

We don’t call ourselves florists, but when inspired, we are up to the task! We wove together this lush garland of antiqued hydrangeas for a stunning centerpiece on the tablescape and also the barcart.

I’ll just put the rest of our inspiring Autumn Harvest Tablescape photos right here for you to enjoy:

All of our tabletop decor is available to rent! Please email us at [email protected].
Cheers!

Coastal Vintage Romance Bridal Shower
Recently we joined forces with three additional creative companies to bring together a Coastal Vintage Romance Bridal Shower. The style, design and all tablescape rentals are brought to you by, your’s truly, Balancing Balloons. Tawni Eakman Photography captured the setting gorgeously and seamlessly. Desserts by Scarlet Nantes were impeccably designed to suit the setting and our taste-buds were equally delighted. The stunning detailed greenery garland and dessert table centerpiece were designed and created by Petal and Vine.

Coastal Vintage Romance, is bit of a inspirational bundle, but we wanted to touch base on each aspect. The bridal shower was located in West Seattle at Lincoln Park. The brunch guests enjoyed a view of the Puget Sound while looking across at Vashon Island. Ferry boats were consistently on the horizon, with water lapping on the rocky driftwood beach. Vintage, because we are who we are, our love for vintage is deep! Romance, here we touched on the soft delicate feminism. The bride-to-be loves pink, but forwent the hue as a wedding color, because the groom himself doesn’t connect with the color. I have to nod my head in appreciation that their marriage is off to a rock solid start, wedding planning and registering to build a home together kickoff the marital dance of comprise! Alas, her bridal shower lent the chance for pink to explode and channel the bride herself.

The table was laid with a white gauzy tablecloth, the table runner was a cascading garland of greenery mixed with vintage pink depression glass taper candle holders. Each placesetting consisted of a marble charger, vintage pink dinner plate, gold vintage flatware, teacup(coffee) & saucer, vintage gold accented water glass, vintage pink goblet, and a gold rimmed “mimosa” flute.

The dessert table had us all wishing we could spoil our meal with dessert first! With a slight succulent theme (another of the bride’s visions that didn’t make it into the wedding day design), baker Tanya of Scarlet Nantes created a succulent vision on top of decadent cakes. The lavender white chocolate ganache macaroons were also channeled from the marble chargers in the placesettings. The Almond Pistachio Bundt Cake was devoured!

With the guest of honor being a close friend I was able to caterer detailed touches to her style. This gold crown, which I found and purchased for her long before she was engaged, was her seat marker. I found the Mrs. crown while planning a baby shower for another friend and couldn’t not buy it as it suited this future bride so perfectly. I am now delighted that it had a special place at her bridal shower.

Our bride is oh-so-feminine, but she loves her self some whiskey! Cue, Whiskey in a Teacup!

As the hostess gift each of our guests went home with a shot of whiskey from local Seattle small batch distillery Oola.

With menu inspiration from pinterest and collaborated efforts from Andrea Blair Cirignano our light brunch menu was enjoyed. We were light on brunch and heavy on dessert!

We are always on the search for personal sophisticated party games! One we have adapted from party to party is “pass the parcel”. A game evolved from my New Zealand MIL. Not positive if it’s her game personally or a New Zealand party custom. If you are interested, message us and we’ll share the details! CHAMPAGNE - PONG! A classy twist to an old school college drinking game! Pour champagne into vintage pink depression glass coupes, even classier!

Needless to say, we had an impeccable celebration. We are so thankful for all the creatives that threw in hard work and creativity to make this beautiful event come to life. The future Mrs. that was the inspiration behind this gorgeous event is so deserving and loved, and I believe she felt showered in the most delightful way. Cheers to all the future brides!

Citrus Tablescape Inspiration
When I graduated from high school, my parents took my family on a trip to Hawaii. This was not my first trip there, nor my last. However, a lot changed for me during this vacation. Perhaps it was the ability to bring my boyfriend along or maybe the first time I had been given freedom on a “family” vacation but the cool visions of the water have never escaped me. Since then I have been hooked. Not just on Hawaii, but on all things tropical. My personal decor shifted in a tropical direction from the prior country vibes I had going.
When deciding on my inspiration this week, I looked to my always inspiration: the TROPICS! Tropical can fluctuate so much. I took sweet HazeyBoBazey (our favorite balloonhead) to the grocery store. As we were moving down the grocery list, she was busy distracting herself with an orange. As simple as that, my inspiration came from an orange.
I think that is one of the best parts of Balancing Balloons. We have colors and inventory so vast that something as simple as an orange can create a whole vision. I did not focus a lot on table settings this week. Instead, my focus drifted to color. My citrus inspiration came from an orange, yes, but orange is also a color.
Introducing: amber (a mix of yellow and orange), pink, and green. Each color representing a citrus from the grocery store. Easy as that. Simple as that. Fun as that!

As much as I love that our goblets are SO beautiful, there is so many other colorful options in our inventory. You can match nearly any color goblet to something else in our inventory. Palm leaves, citrus, goblets, and more!

Don’t even get me started on this chair! We picked up this beauty because of it’s peacock attributes without being a full-sized peacock chair! You can sit in it, decorate it, and photograph is without being consumed by all the wicker. Stunner!

So what happens when you mix all this color together? Magic! Citruses look perfect next to each other for a reason... they’re colors can mix and mix well. A few tabletop ideas:

Thank you all for reading this blog post. There is nothing more appreciated in this business than opportunities to share your passions. Passions big and passions small. A small one of mine is definitely tropical. Citrus just being a small dose of what could come. If you love tropical also, follow us on instagram (@balancingballoons) for future tropical inspirations.
Before we go, I have a few more straggler photos to share. Not to be discounted because I still love them but they did not fit a category as well. Cheers!

Green Watercolor Tablescape Inspiration
Recently at Paper Source we instantly fell in love with this green watercolor table-runner. It has inspired us to share a few creative tablescapes and styling ideas.

The first thing we did was pull a mix n’ match assortment of green goblets. The mix n’ match of green hues work perfectly with this table runner because it also incorporates an array of green hues in the watercolor fabric itself. You’ll see the different goblets used in various layouts and how they can all cohesively come together. Many times people tend to lean to solid matching, commonly referred to as ‘matchy-matchy’, but it really adds a unique touch to mix up the styles a little from setting to setting, in a subtle way.

The above placesetting leans slightly formal. The layering of the wood charger draws a more natural element. Pulling from the silver accents in the table-runner we went with antique silver flatware, silver charger, silver water glass, and a silver champagne flute.

If you would prefer the greens to play a more subtle role you can see below how we combined a crystal water glass and crystal champagne flute with a brown wine goblet. This combination is definitely lower-key compared to the silver & green glassware combination, but perhaps more timeless.

Below we channeled the neutrals in the table-runner, lending to a warmer natural vibe. A green salad plated was added to the setting, we love layering, it adds character!

We love our Mercer Plate Collection, we often explain them as having an organic feel. We particularly love layering colored salad plates on top of them! The green salad plate collection is actually new for us and isn’t even listed on our website as a rental (tsk, tsk). Please do not hesitate to contact us!

Let them eat cake! Or donuts, or pie, or cookies, but please don’t forget the desert! We have all the cake stands you need to create the perfect desert bar!

Hope you feel inspired! Please let us know if there is a style you would like to see! We love playing with our rentals to help create your tablescape vision!
Cheers!

These are a Few of our Favorite Things!
In our last blog featuring the decor, tablescape, and hostessing details of our Favorite Things Garden Party we promised that we would share all of our guests’ favorite things!

Each guest was to chose a favorite item around $10 and bring 3 of them. Their name then went into a drawing/lottery 3x. Each guest shared a little about their favorite thing and then drew three names to receive it. Everyone got to go home with three new products to try!

Two constant themes to our favorite things were beauty products and alcohol. With out further ado, here is the break down!
1. L’Oreal Paris Detox & Brighten Pure Clay Mask
2. A homemade concoction of “Magic Mushroom Mix”... no not that kind of magic, but it is Paleo friendly!
3. (One of Balancing Balloons’!!) Valentina HOT sauce, Bryn’s favorite hot sauce, a lot of flavor, kick of spice, and light on the vinegar. Argan Oil; although embarrassing to admit, Bryn hasn’t had her hair cut in over 18 months! She swears she doesn’t have split ends because of this hair oil. Apply to ends of damp hair after every shower, pool swim, or if your lucky enough to be on vacation, after a salty sea swim. Theo chocolate bar, ‘nuf said. ALL three for under $10!

4. Barefoot Sparkling Pinot Grigio
5. Vegetable Chopper
6. Raspberry Wine from Pasek Cellars. Pasek Cellars has tasting rooms in La Conner and Leavenworth, but if you live in the PNW you should be able to find it at Fred Meyer. They also have Cranberry, Blackberry, and a seasonal Pineapple!
7. Shiny pretty aluminum water bottles. It’s important to stay hydrated!
8. Narrative Hand Cream from Anthropologie. Smells so yummy and it’s currently on sale for $4.95. DEALS!
9. Pretty hand soaps for happy hand-washing!

10. (One of Balancing Balloons’!!) Ultimate hosting books by creative genius Lauren Conrad! It’s pinterest for your coffee table. Michelle swears it is her “bible” when looking for hosting inspiration.
11. Big Sexy Hair(spray)
12. Garnier Anti-Puff Eye Roller
13. Homemade Michelada popsicles in reusable silicon popsicle holders.
14. Wine Tumbler for your summer picnics and outdoor summer movies.
15. Nano Wine, again, also perfect for summer picnics and outdoor summer movies. Seeing a trend here?

I hope you are inspired to try out a few of our favorite things! We’ll be putting the clay mask to the test tonight! These would make great gift ideas!
Cheers!

Favorite Things Garden Party

WELCOME! To our Favorite Things - Garden Party Edition!
We planned an evening with a group of our favorite ladies to share our favorite things!

Each of these favorite ladies were asked to bring three of their favorite thing (under $10). We’ll do the breakdown of the favorites in our next blog post so you can be in the know too! Hint: Booze & Beauty products.

If you are familiar with us, Balancing Balloons, you know unique glassware is our favorite thing! We chose an assortment of different designs and colors, so each guest would know which glass was theirs’ through the evening! And because we couldn’t pick just one!

Each guest was greeted with a champagne coupe filled with sparking pink champagne. A lovely way to start our warm summer evening. Cheers!
We sat down to dinner at low palette tables and fluffy cushions and rugs. The place settings were created with our mercer dinner plate, clear crystal dinner plate, antique gold flatware, clear crystal water goblet, and a colorful wine goblet. All of these items can be rented for your event, through us, Balancing Balloons! We currently have limited length of palette tables, 20 feet available, however we are always open to learning of your custom length inquiries.

The outdoor space was staged in the warmest comfiest style. Our host allowed us to bring her indoor living room out to her backyard patio. We could have stayed outside for hours. Wish we could have spent another 3 hours relaxing into the wee hours of the morning.

Every great party needs beautiful desserts! The beautiful sweets of the night were made by Scarlet Nantes.

At this point you may be curious about the Favorite Things portion to this Garden Party! Please stay tuned :) Our next blog will share all the under $10 goodies!

All the beautiful florals of the night were designed by Petal and Vine! Vibrant and natural, perfectly encapsulating a Garden Party.

10 Ways to Add A Personal Touch to your Wedding Reception
Hi friends! What an awesome day to be writing this blog post. The PNW has so much to offer when the sunshine comes out. We are looking forward to putting this laptop down and heading outside. BUT before we do that, we wanted to share some fun ways to add your own personal touch to your wedding reception. Our business is built around uniqueness. Each coupe is unique and each wedding is unique. We’ve attempted to gather items in such a variety that when you shop our inventory, you find pieces that speak to you! Pieces that enhance your wedding reception because guests can see you shine through all the settings. There are lots of other ways to add a personal touch as well! We’ve gathered 10 ways below.
1. Place Setting

A simple place setting with a pop! If you are trying to keep things simple at your wedding, a little pop of color that reflects you and your best friend. You can add this pop with a place or your glassware choices! No matter what you go with, you will smile when you see whatever you decide!
2. Cake Topper

(Photo from: http://www.weddingchicks.com/blog/mint-shabby-chic-wedding-l-12418-l-43.html)
Cake toppers are a great way to personalize your reception! There are SO many options! Search on Etsy, Pinterest, or Google and you will see what we mean. From acrylic toppers that spell out words, sayings, or initials, to figurines, wood, or flowers! The options are truly endless. This is an opportunity to be creative. If simple is more your style, perhaps no cake topper is the best way to show off your own touch. Have fun with this one!
3. Dessert Table/Bar

(Photo from: http://karaspartyideas.com/2014/07/rustic-bridal-shower.html/3)
Continuing on the cake discussion: dessert table/bar! This might be your tastiest way - HA! If the bride(s) love peanut butter, caramel, and candy you can have a whole table with your favorite treats. If the groom(s) love cake, pie, and brownies you can have a whole table of those! Or mix the two into one! We cannot think of a better way to show off your favorite treats :) All your guests will enjoy it as well - bonus!
4. Signature Cocktails

(Photo from: https://bridalguide.com/planning/the-details/decor-flowers/overlooked-wedding-details)
Who says the bride(s) and/or groom(s) have to agree on their favorite alcohol!? You definitely do not! Signature cocktails let you both show off what you love! Guests will enjoy seeing your favorites and trying them both! You can give each drink a fun name that plays off of you and your loved one OR keep it real. Either way, signature cocktails add personality to your reception.
5. Thank You Notes

(Photo from: https://bridalguide.com/planning/the-details/decor-flowers/overlooked-wedding-details)
We know that you spend hours finalizing your guest list. You invite your best friends, your closest family, and all that you love. Those people helped shape you both as a couple and have loved you through all the moments in your life. To thank all those who made an effort to witness your love, add a thank you note. The words you choose, the details you add, all add personal touches to your space. Everyone there knows you well and will see you and your love shine through.
6. Place Card Holders/ Escort Cards

(Photo from: https://somethingturquoise.com/2013/08/02/diy-gold-painted-toy-animal-escort-cards/)
Guests use these to find their chair/table. We think this is a great chance to show off your own personality! You can use these fun gold animals that might be made up of your favorite animals. Or you can use wood, flowers, rocks, ANYTHING! They can stick with your wedding theme or head off the beaten path. Always remember that nearly everything is paintable! So even if what you choose reflects more of your than matching your wedding theme, you can paint it! Choose a color that fits your wedding - ties everything together :)
7. Snapchat Filter

(Photo from: https://www.villasiena.cc/photo-gallery/photostream.html?album=852&page=2)
Snapchat filters are SO fun! We love them because you can completely customize them! Check out this link for a DIY to make your own snapchat filter: http://www.yespleasedaily.com/2016/07/how-to-make-custom-snapchat-geofilters.html
You can also do a wedding hashtag! A play on words is the common way to design your hashtag but really they can be whatever your creativity comes up with! ######### :)
8. Guest Book!
No picture for this one because there are SO many options! We love guest books and can be made of literally anything!! Here’s a list of ideas for you to imagine and create with your significant other:
Book, Polaroid Book, Art Print, Initials Signing, Map Signing, Puzzle Pieces, Dictionary, Tray, Globe, Advice/Words of Wisdom, Board Games, Backyard Games, Calendar, Shadow Box, Quilt, Wine Bottle, Anniversary Books, Sealed Envelope Notes, AND SO MUCH MORE!
9. Menu

(Photo from: http://paperandlace.com/2016/10/25/breathtaking-urban-dunedin-wedding-acorn-photogrpahy/)
Menu’s can go in a variety of ways. They can be at each place setting, on a sign, or at the table center. The food you choose is a reflection of you so let the menu card speak to that as well! They can match your invites, use unique fonts, or whatever you can dream up! We like it when the menu card or sign is decorated with touches of wedding inspiration.
10. Wedding Favor

(Photo from: http://www.planyourperfectwedding.com/gallery/invites-and-favours/10-wedding-favours-under-£1)
Favors! These are literally designed to be a reflection of YOU! Anything! If you love music, you can do a CD! If you love coffee, send them home with a blend! It is a the easiest place to show your creativity. Trying coming up with something without searching the internet. We say this because you, as a couple, can come up with something that is so much more personable on your own than Pinterest can show you.
And there you have it! 10! Do you have any other ideas? Share them with us! We’d love to hear more!!

Jewel Tone Wedding
We’re happy it is Tuesday! Why? Only three days away from the weekend! And during the summer, we celebrate wedding season. Meaning, each weekend is jam packed with weddings. We love this busy time of year. The love is contagious from weekend to weekend. We’re eager to continue the celebration.
As we plan our #FavoriteThingsParty Garden Edition, jewel tones are on our mind. The #FavoriteThingsParty is going to use pallets, jewel toned everything, and consist of 25 of the funniest, most loving, and friendly ladies we know. Honestly can’t think of a better evening! The invites have headed out the door. With invites being the first step, we are now headed to step 2: DECORATIONS! Planning time!
The invites set a vibe of jewel tones meets water color. The backyard #FavoriteThingsParty is going to be cozy, semi-casual, and have more food/drinks than we can imagine. With that being said, we are trying to set the mood with our rental choices! As we use these photos as inspiration to our #FavoriteThingsParty - we thought you might enjoy as wedding inspiration, your own party inspiration, or any other even you might be envisioning jewel tones at.
We’ll even give a little insight to what we love in our collection that the picture inspires.

(Photo from: http://theweddingplaybook.com/20-wedding-reception-ideas-that-will-wow-your-guests/)
We envision our Mercer Plate Collection, Antique Gold Flatware, and Clear Goblet Collection. Those place cards are the cutest! You could even step it up with an agate or something water color. Since we did water color invites, we’re leaning to the water color side.

(Photo from: http://www.glamourandgraceblog.com/2016/jewel-tone-garden-wedding-inspiration/)
WOW! Those purple goblets are amazing! We imagine our own purple goblet collection and brass taper candle holders. CHECK OUT THE WATERCOLOR! EEK!

(Photo from: http://greenweddingshoes.com/luxe-jewel-tone-wedding-inspiration/)
Those artichokes! We would use our blue goblet collection, amber glass collection, and clear goblet collection as vases! Oh add our gold rim flutes! Stunning!

(Photo from: http://www.stylemepretty.com/2015/09/01/jewel-tone-forest-wedding-inspiration/)
Those greens are so amazing! Makes us want a wedding that is entirely forest green. Our gold chargers, Mercer plate collection, modern matte flatware, gold glass collection, gold rim goblet collection, gold rim flute collection. Brass taper candle holders would be a must! Clear goblet collection would also be awesome as the floral arrangement vases. ‘
Anything you love!? What do you think we should use for our #FavoriteThingsParty!? Let us know!
Cheers!

We’re 1!
We cannot believe it has been a year since Balancing Balloons launched. We’ve mixed things up over the course of this year but we wouldn’t change the experience for the world.
Balancing Balloons started as a party blog. We (Bryn and Michelle) had a constant itch to throw a party, decorate, and plan all the details. The idea for Balancing Balloons sprouted when we both had big celebrations to host for people near and dear to our hearts. Bryn’s best friend, Andrea, was about to have her first child. A baby shower, planned to the very smallest details, was held last May. The pictures, feedback, and overall beauty was beyond what we had even imagined. Michelle was also a bridesmaid for her cousin, planning an engagement party, bridal shower, and bachelorette party.
We joked about putting all our pictures up on a blog. We felt the small, intimate details we added to our parties would be a cause for inspiration to others. After talking it over for a bit our excitement levels were exploding. But what would we call ourselves? The hunt for a name began.
Balancing Balloons stemmed from our own personal lives. The blog we were creating was personal to us. Our own parties, our own ideas, our own friends and families. The name itself couldn’t be an abstract idea because everything was so real for us. Balloons seem to be a must at every party. Especially now that balloons come in such a variety! Michelle has an extreme love for giant number and letter balloons, which are thankfully so in style! Plus the extra large balloons, balloons filled with confetti, and script balloons have really stepped up the balloons market. I (Michelle) asked Bryn if the name could have balloons in it. Bryn shot back with “Balancing Balloons”. Balancing stemming from the constant balancing act of life. Planning, styling, and hosting parties with such intense details seems out of a lot of peoples league. Between family, work, school, etc. there just isn't `that much time left in the day! Yet, Balancing Balloons, was designed to help others make those intimate details easy! So Balancing Balloons was born. We bought the domain and got to work.
Once the blog began, we went crazy with party planning. If anything was worth celebrating (which a lot is), we were planning a party. Bryn was throwing baby showers left and right for her friends and family! We were having a blast.
Come fall, we realized our collection of items had outgrown our own capacity. Buying glassware, table top, decorations, and more for all these parties had started to really add up. There was tons! This is when we decided to open as a rental company. All of those items we had drooled over at antique stores, styled intensely for parties, and stared at on our shelves, are available for rent!
Today, our collection grows weekly. We still plan parties and celebrate all the small things in life but also help others plan parties and celebrate the small things. We encourage others to use our collection in a unique way. With so many colors and styles, items can truly represent the honored guests. A bride and groom that love the outdoors? Green! A baby shower with a gender reveal attached? Black and white! A bridal shower for a bride that loves soft, warm colors? Pink and amber! The ideas and possibilities are limitless. It is exciting to hear the stories of all our clients and why the pieces are selected for their big day.
As we turn one, we can’t help but smile at all the fun moments we’ve had. The stressful ones too! Balancing Balloons is only beginning and the future is so bright! Please help us celebrate - we’re giving away $100 to use towards an in stock rental order! We hope you find pieces that speak to you and your personal taste. It’s truly the best part of our job.
The giveaway will occur on our Instagram starting tomorrow. The gift certificate cannot be used towards existing rental orders. Wedding planners are welcome to enter and keep the gift certificate for future clients. The gift certificate must be used before June 2018. Order total must be $100 or higher. No cash value. Cannot be used toward custom orders.
Cheers!!

ROSE GOLD TABLE: Eek we love this one! The metal tables are a stunning shade of rose gold. The top is glass. Can only imagine this table with a guest book, covered in cards, or gifts. Even a dessert table!? Versatile.

BENT WOOD CHAIR: We have four of these to adorn your head table. Bride and groom chairs draped in flowers? Whatever you can imagine! We love the romance they bring. Soft and warm accent to a tablescape.

WICKER CHAIR: Major love for wicker lately. We’re constantly looking for wicker pieces that are still in good enough shape to be considered vintage yet usable. This chair definitely passed the test. We love it and will continue to look for more!

UPHOLSTERED CHAIR: This chair is a dark pink/brown, similar to mauve. The legs are a fresh white which makes the chair have a modern meets vintage style. Imagine a bride-to-be being celebrated at her bridal shower while center stage on this chair.

VINTAGE DESK: If you love vintage, you’ll love this desk. We include the glass ink holder if you want to create a guest book that is unforgettable. Include ink and quill for a one-of-a-kind table.

EASEL: Currently rose gold. Tomorrow? Any metal color you can imagine! This easel is versatile for all occasions. Holding a sign, art, or whatever you need to be held up tall.
That’s the run down! Let’s chat about what you love! Message us with thoughts :)

Mother’s Day Ideas
Can you believe Mother’s Day is this weekend!? How many have already started planning your Mother’s Day brunch/lunch/dinner? We have thrown around some ideas but wanted to see what other creatives have put out there.
Check out our favorite Mother’s Day ideas below. Hopefully you can find some inspiration as well!

This stunner is a peach themed party! How fun!? With spring being here and summer approaching, a peach theme seems quite appropriate for this special day!

A tea party!! Who says tea parties have to stop after being a kid!? Gather together and drink from pretty teacups. We definitely don’t think it just has to be tea in those cups :)

Those MUGS!! Immediate heart eyes! We love this because the mug + flower can also be a take home gift for the mothers! Maybe even add a name to the side as a personalize place card. Super cute.

This post was originally Earth Day inspiration but we also love it for Mother’s Day! Rainbow of colors, fruit, picnics, etc. All some of our favorite things! We can imagine all our favorite Mom’s, kids, and friends gathered around the picnic table eating up all this fruit and conversing about reasons we love moms!

For any Kate Spade fans out there, celebrate their 2.4 billion dollar pay day! Kate Spade may be headed to Coach but the design will forever be iconic! You could even gift a little Kate Spade goodie to all the Momma’s in attendance. A top idea for the Kate Spade lover!

10 Rainbow Vintage Glassare Inspiration Photos
Balancing Balloons was truly started by our obsession with vintage glassware. Going, hunting, buying, and staring were some of our top daily activities. The look of amber glass sitting next to pink glass next to green glass was something our eyes were consistently drawn to.
When we realized that our collection was beyond anything we could use consistently on our own, we decided to open the collection to everyone. We had glassware for full wedding counts - borderline hoarding. HA!
Beyond glassware collecting, we obviously enjoy a good Pinterest scrolling spree. This post consists of photos/tables that use a rainbow of colors. We have not experimented with this idea much on our own but WOW it is stunning! See what other creatives envisioned below!
