// I haven't forgotten about this account! The last few weeks have been busy and I'm in the middle of (once again) trying to restructure life in a way where I don't explode. Hoping to post a few open starters soon.

"An ability..." Ei repeated while in thought.

While Ei was familiar with warping through space, her travels were always intentional. And they never lead to new worlds. Yet, these otherworldly teleportations only occurred while she slumbered.

"No, I preside over lightning and storms. If this too is an ability of mine, it is a new one. A-"

As she spoke, there was a familiar crackle through the air. It cut through her speech as the world around the two began to warp and bend.

"Ah. That signals a return home. Well, if we meet again, let us have tea together."

As she spoke, the ancient ceiling of the Tenshukaku returned into her view. As she often did after these events, she rose to a small desk and began recording what she had found.

There was not much to write - she failed to get the young man's name - but his mannerisms and strange weapon were of interest to her. Perhaps they would meet again. It would not be the first time she had found herself around the same people many times.

Placing down her brush, she thought of the man's words again. An ability... if this too was something she could control, the benefits would be endless.

Ei's eyes dart to the outstretched hand. Though the device is decorative at first glance, she understands the positioning and intention to be somewhat hostile.

It's a strange feeling. At home, others dare not threaten her. And even in her otherworldly travels, most are not so quick to raise a weapon.

It would be horrible etiquette to laugh, so she suppresses the surprise into a small exhale. Keeping her hands by her sides, but remaining tall, she answers him:

"When I sleep, there are times when I wake elsewhere. It seems that the people I encounter in these places are just as real as myself,"

Her voice begins to fade off as her hand raises to her mouth in thought. "Though, I suppose it is difficult to say what 'real' is...even in Inazuma, that concept has changed so much over the years..."

Shaking her head, she resumes her solid eye-contact with Kurapika. "In any case, this is the first time I've met someone in such sparse place. Could it be that you too are dreaming?"

Kurapika had endured all sorts of unusual situations, and while he was accustomed to thinking on his feet anyone would be caught off-guard finding themselves in a dark room, alone with a stranger. He pivots quickly on his heel- knowing better than to leave your back open to a potential enemy- and outstretches a chained hand in warning, metaphorical hackles raised. The strange woman's words do not sway him, and his eyes narrow.

"... I'll believe you, so long as you answer me honestly: where is this?"

Mun is an adult. No erp, no romance. I’ll match style, but I’m not very good at long prose. I work full-time so it may take up to a week for a reply, but I will reply.

About the setting:

I write Raiden and Miko as universe hoppers. For them, they access other areas in a dream state, and do not always know why they are there. Of course, people are welcome to visit their world as well.

Abstractly, Raiden is seeking “items that contain powerful emotional energy” to store away in her dream-room, as she has been compelled to do so by a message in her sleep. Miko likes collecting trinkets to remember journeys with.

About the muses:

This is a multimuse blog consisting of the Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko from the video game Genshin Impact. I’ve included brief information about both below.

The Raiden Shogun is the Electro Archon – the god who rules over the country of Inazuma. Raiden consists of two entities sharing one body: Raiden Ei and the Shogun. The mun writes them as a separate-but-same entity. More on this, as well as more about the Raiden Shogun, here: (link will be added later.)
