promotion predictions?
I know many disagree with me but I very much think Joseph Sissens is going to be made a principal this year. He's going to be dancing Siegfried a lot, there is imbalance in the principal ranks, and he's been a first soloist for over a year.
I would be very surprised if Mariko Sasaki isn't promoted to first soloist.
I can see Joonhyuk Jun going to first soloist. More far-fetched but maayyyybbbeee Sae Maeda.
Daichi Ikarashi, Isabel Lubach, Nadia Mullova-Barley, Marco Masciari, Amelia Townsend: I think any of them could go up to soloist
The most shocked I would be is if Viola Pantuso isn't promoted.
I can see Marianna Tsembenhoi being promoted as well.

Hello! I was wondering if you still hold by your opinion that you don’t like Osipova in any Ashton? Normally I would agree, but I recently watched some clips of her in La Fille Mal Gardee and they absolutely blew me away. I thought her buoyancy and energy fit the role perfectly. Although maybe I’m just biased - it reminded me a lot of her performance in the Bolshoi Coppelia, and that’s one of my all-time favourite recordings. Regardless, have a nice day :)
I still don't really like her in Ashton. I do agree that her energy as Lise is perfect, but I just don't see the dancing that she does in the role as the proper Ashton style, especially if you compare it to the other recently filmed performances by Nunez and Marquez. Ashton is quick, precise, and delicate, and isn't about high jumps. As much as I defend Osipova usually, I wouldn't go out of my way to see her in an Ashtonian role.

@unabashedbagelmoneydiplomat asked:
I find it a bit off that Fumi Kaneko is dancing Swan Lake with Vadim and not William Bracewell? Do you think These two will become a permanent pairing and may be replacing Vadim an Nela?
Not really, they've been performing with each other frequently for awhile now. It's not going to 'replace' his pairing with Nunez (who he also performed SL with). No pairing is absolute: Lamb performs regularly with Hirano and McRae; McRae also performs with O'Sullivan; O'Sullivan frequently performs with Sambe; Sambe performs with Hayward; Hayward (until recently) performed often with Campbell. Muntagirov himself also performs with Lamb. It's important for different dancers to partner one another to find out who works well together when last-minute casting changes are needed.
Also Nunez/Muntagirov make them a ton of money. They aren't going anywhere.
