you were tidying up the apartment for what seemed like hours at this point. it felt like you were in a slow motion. you felt dizzy and tired and as much as you wanted to blame it on the lack of sleep you knew you were starting to get sick.

lifting his eyes up from the papers aaron looked at your pale face. you tried your best to avoid eye contact because you really didnt want to get sick and while it was easy to lie to yourself you couldnt lie to aaron.

walking up to you aaron gently pressed his hand to your forehead to check your temperature "oh honeyy..." he cooed quietly.

he walked you to the couch and pulled a blanket over you. as much as you wanted to fight him you had no energy to do so.

" 'm going to make you some tea. mint or ginger?" he called from his place in the kitchen. waiting for you answer he started to make dinner.

sometime later he came back into your view with soup, tea and meds. he made you take your meds and sip your tea while putting a movie on the tv.

aaron sat by your side and gently laid your head on his lap. " you do so much for me. i appreciate it, i really do, but what if you get sick?" you asked in a tired but caring tone. "i dont care if i get sick if it means looking after you. besides when was the last time i got sick?" aaron softly reassured you before you drifted off to sleep.

While Eddie was cleaning up the table after dinner, you were doing the dishes. After softly rinsing off the last couple of plates, you took a cloth and started drying them.

After hearing Eddie enter the kitchen area, you turned around to see him already looking at you. More specifically, with that lovesick look on his face. No matter how long your relationship was, that look would still make you blush and turn away from him.

"Stop staring, creep" you murmured, shying away from him when he tried to pull you in. ''Yeah, yeah, whatever you say'' , he commented, both of you knowing he wouldn't stop.

Your face was held in his hands with gentleness, making it impossible to escape his gaze. "Both of us know" , he started, "that there is nothing that will keep me from staring at you, doll. I mean, really, how can one not look at such an angel, hmm? Especially when he gets to call her his own. " You shyly burried your face in his chest, unable to listen to him anymore without completely turning into a blushing mess.

Groaning in fake anoyance you turned around to leave but he softly pulled you in by your waist. Holding you close to him with his hands around your waist, he pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead, and the way you blushed and hid in his chest, just made him swoon once again.

The two of you were sitting on the couch in your living room. Aaron was watching a movie that was playing on the TV and you were thinking, staring into an empty space and just thinking.

You were recalling the scene that happened today. The agent that you worked with on this case has pretty clearly shown that she had an eye for Aaron. Your Aaron. You hated the bitter taste of jealousy, of insecurity. You knew that bringing your romantic feelings into your work would not come as a good result, so you decided to cope with the feeling until you got home. But the more time passed, the more it made you overthink. You felt so guilty about feeling what you were feeling. You knew Aaron loved you and you loved him. But unfortunately, there was always some insecurity hidden in the corner of your mind and you hated it.

"Do you love me? " you blurted out without really thinking about it and a wave of embarrassment washed over you. He looked at you in disbelief. "What a thing to ask, my love. How could I not? I love you more than anything, really. I am sorry, did I give you the impression that I don't?"

"No, no, no- ... I-I'm sorry, really, I don't know where this is coming from. I-" You started. Feeling more overwhelmed than you did at any moment today.

Remembering the scene that happened today at work, he stopped your rambling. "Hey, it's okay. I think I know where this is coming from, but I assure you, you have nothing to worry about. I have eyes for you and you only. Well, I think you should know it by heart now. Do you want to talk about it?" he softly asked you, wanting to help.

You almost unnoticeably nodded your head to the side and you hoped he would notice and understand that as a no, and of course, he did.

"Okay, we don't have to talk about it now, but if it's something that's bothering you and making you ponder such questions, then we really should talk about it" he said while lightly chuckling in hopes to ease the tension. Pulling you to closer to him he kissed you forhead while mumbling soft I love you's.
