In the spirit of encouraging people to comment on fanfics while also making it easier to do so, I feel obliged to share a browser extension for ao3 that has quite literally revolutionized the comment game for me.
I present to you: the floating ao3 comment box!
From what I've seen, a big problem for many people is that once you reach the comments at the bottom of a fic, your memory of it miraculously disappears. Anything you wanted to say is stuck ten paragraphs ago, and you barely remember what you thought while reading. This fixes that!
I'll give a little explanation on the features and how it works, but if you want to skip all that, here's the link.
Edit: Yes, this also works on mobile!
The extension is visible as a small blue box in the upper left corner.
(Side note: The green colouring is not from the extension, that's me.)
If you click on it, you open a comment box window at the bottom of your screen but not at the bottom of the fic. I opened my own fic for demonstrative purposes.
The website also gives explanations on how exactly it functions, but I'll summarize regardless.
insert selection -> if you highlight a sentence in the fic it will be added in italics to the comment box
add to comment box -> once you're done writing your comment, you click this button and the entire thing will automatically copied to the ao3 comment box
delete -> self explanatory
on mulitchapter fics, you will be given the option to either add the comment to just the current chapter or the entire fic
The best part? You can simply close the window the same way you opened it and your progress will automatically be saved. So you can open it, comment on a paragraph, and then close it and keep reading without having the box in your face.
Comments are what keep writers going, and as both a writer and a reader, I think it's such an easy way of showing support and enthusiasm.

I would love to see something with newly established barba/carisi where barba is struggling to shift from “sassy/sardonic ada who teases/puts Carisi down to the amusement of others” into devoted bf. Barisi kidfic, where Barba really starts to feel empty-nest syndrome. The girls are preparing to go to college, and Barba is becoming extremely clingy. He's fretting over the next steps and reminiscing their years together, but Carisi and the girls comfort him.
Why I won't be writing it: Not interested in older kidfics right now. I have so many pregnancy, baby, and early childhood fics that I want to get done.

Sonny comes out as trans and goes on testosterone. Rafael loves him and begins to appreciate the little changes to his body except one thing: his facial hair. Sonny's little mustache, and he's like, "Hey, how do I look?" And Rafael thinks it's hideous, but he wants nothing more but to validate his boyfriend's gender so he lies.
Why I won't be writing it: This prompt is cute and funny so it's a 'maybe,' but it's just not the tone I can usually capture for them as a couple

Carisi goes with Benson to Munson's house and is shot (instead of Dodds) and that's how the team finds out he and Barba are together. (ideally Carisi survives but if you want go major character death then okay)
Why I won't be writing it: Not much of a whump-ologist. Writing is my comfort happy space, so I usually don't do the harder angstier stuff like near-fatal wounds. Sometimes I want that (like "Protective Detail" which was a request) so I'm still happy to get these requests, but it's not likely unless there's something that really clicks for me.

okay see: d/s universe, post-getting married, sonny finished law school maybe thinking about leaving nypd, finds out about the threats rafael is getting and technically he shouldn’t worry because rafael has things under control and he knows he can trust rafael to take care of himself or both, but also, there's this protective/cop side.
maybe rafael is super dommy / stricter lately (cuz the threats are getting out of hand and that's one of the few things he can control)
then sonny finds out and maybe a sprinkle of "yes i know you take care of us both but let me help if i can" type thing where rafael doesn't have to carry those things ALL by himself
