i love the fact that the heroes of olympus series had such badass fucking moments like annabeth literally retrieving the athena parthenos by pure wordplay and playing with everyone's ego, or frank commanding the ghost legion and simultaneously being promoted to praetor, or the time hazel first controlled the mist and saved jason's and her life, or any reyna arellano moment really, but when you ask someone what the best part was, it'll be something like "like your zodiac sign? i'm a leo", "no stupid you're a percy. i'm a leo." and i agree

woooow I forgot how much I love the Kane chronicles. the egyptian mythology is so cool to me (I was an egypt kid way before I was into greek mythology)

the idea of the gods sharing bodies with a mortal host is so fun to read (it reminds me a lot of the stargate sg-1 tv show 12/10 would recommend)

carter and sadie are both hilarious and have the best sibling dynamic. I can’t remember what happens in the second and third books so I can’t wait to find out and then read the crossover short stories!

1.5 months later…. I finally finished the trilogy and the short stories. The first book was a little hard for me to get into, but I really enjoyed it! I think the third book was my favorite, 10/10 would read them again.

The perfect amount of pjo crossover too. The hearth/blitz sub plots were so good and alex and magnus’s dynamic is hilarious, I love them. Rick make more I’m literally begging on my knees
