For those of you who weren’t watching F1 in 2020, I just want to draw your attention to this clip

This is what can happen when you have drivers accelerating and braking just before the safety car restart.

It can create an accordion effect down the rest of the field, where the field kind of bunches and separates like an accordion, this can cause significant incidents, especially so in the case of poor visibility or a wet track.

In Mugello the large crash happened due to some confusion in the midfield, but a crash like that could very well happen due to a driver at the front accelerating and then braking harshly
