Took Aveline to the Magistrate's Orders quest to see how she’d react and was utterly shocked to find she actually approves of taking vigilante justice and killing Kelder, even encouraging it by saying Hawke will only get in trouble with the magistrate if the incident is reported

Compared to the way she handles she elven Viddathari situation in act 2 I was expecting the complete opposite. Oh Aveline, what being guard captain for 3 years has done to you

Never let being a non-mage stop you being a Templar’s headache

Non-mage Hawke who has very strong opinions about the Circle, knows more about magic than the average person, and gets real standoffish toward Templars. Which is to say that in an ironic twist of events, Hawke starts being rumored of being an apostate.

Pros: it gets the heat off Bethany!

Cons: it leads to some deeply awkward encounters with Templars

Josephine’s concern for the Inquisitor’s safety during the duel is so sweet but also so funny. We’re talking about someone who’s fought demons, ogres, high dragons, has traveled through time, can zip and unzip the fade like a fanny pack, faced wannabe gods and survived, may or may not be God’s chosen, and is leading one of the biggest military powers in the entire continent. I don’t think Fiancé Whatshisname even crossed their radar as a worrisome threat, dealing with him was probably on the agenda somewhere between Kill Eldritch Horrors and Lunchtime

Kinda wish Cullen would’ve stood up to Meredith when she declared the rite of annulment, since he was opposed to it anyhow, and not just when she turned against Hawke. It would’ve made his redemption in DAI at least 4.5 times more convincing to me

Was sitting there feeling all hurt that Fenris would encourage Hawke to help annul the circle, which includes Bethany, when I remembered it was only recently that Fenris’ own sister, a mage, sold him out to his slaver to become a magister, and he doesn’t hesitate to kill her over it. Of course every mage in the Gallows would doom them all to become magisters if they could, including Bethany, his own sister did so after all. That’s why you can’t give them the chance
