Small disk gas tank
Once this building was the most important of the whole city. It provided light to all the lamps. All major buildings with energy. Today it is empty and no one is interested in it anymore. Yet it is beautiful.

Abandoned children's home
This old castle rises beautifully in a dark forest. Unfortunately, I couldn't find out much about the history of it. What is certain, however, is that it was built as a manor many centuries ago and later became a children's home. During the war it provided shelter for many children. As we climbed through the window, the wind whistled through the openings. Somewhere a door slammed. It took a long time before we were sure that we were alone. Or weren't we?

Der Fürstenhof
one of the creepiest lps I’ve ever been. An old hotel in a dark city near some mountains and a black forest. I read a lot of stories about this place. It has seen glorious times and beautiful partys. And it has also had evil guests like Hitler, who has been there once. And now: there is fire everywhere, wet floor and darkness.

Telescopic gas container
A beauty made of steel. It used to be an important system structure, today it is only big and heavy, but beautiful. Nevertheless, I only looked at the building from the outside. Unfortunately, I wasn't that brave to go up there. But the view would certainly be breathtaking.
Just like from below.

The Gasworks
In a time of change, gas was distributed here. The whole big city was supplied with these machines and the people looked to a better future. Fortunately, this gasworks was simply closed and left that way. Since then it has stood still and empty. I met a group of people who contribute to the preservation of this building. Every now and then you let in interested people. Like me. The machines still work. Everything is calm and quiet, but it's nice to know that you can start again at any time.

The abandoned factory
There have been two parts of germany. The east and the west. Both were completely differenct and sometimes I feel like the bavarian people are more like austrian or people from switzerland.
When they did the reunion of the country some places suffered economic decline. This factory was one of them.
It’s abandoned and completely rotten. But one of the most crowded places I have ever been. Sometimes thats more creepy than being alone.
My grandfather always told me: “don’t be afraid of the dead. Be afraid of the living”.

The lawyer's house
It seems like an age ago, when I spent a wonderful week with my family. We did all the things we enjoy. We went out to dinner, looked at museums and ... crawled around in old abandoned buildings.
We found an area heavily affected by economic decline and explored everything. In this house lived and worked a lawyer, who migrated to a better-off economic area.
Since then, this incredibly beautiful building is empty and moldy.

leaving home
do you know that feeling? When the world, your situation is closing in around you. You just want to be free and leaf the cage they put you in. These are the moments I dream about the wonderful abandoned buildings in which I’ve been. They seem like my soul! Rotten, empty and cold. But somehow this makes me feel free again...
This is the second part of a series about an abandoned house in the woods. It’s creepy to see that the house must have been left in a hurry. They didn’t take anything with them. There is the food in the kitchen, the papers in the working room, the clothes in the sleeping room. What happened there?

abandoned after christmas
do you know that feeling? When the world, your situation is closing in around you. You just want to be free and leaf the cage they put you in. These are the moments I dream about the wonderful abandoned buildings in which I’ve been. They seem like my soul! Rotten, empty and cold. But somehow this makes me feel free again...
This is the first part of a series about an abandoned house in the woods. When I went inside I could barely see the people who lived there. Leaving the house after christmas and leaving the christmas tree at the very same place. What has happened there?

Where is god now?
Night was falling when we arrived at this beautiful place. We had to climb over a lot of fences and through the wood, but finally we made it. At first it wasn’t that visible in the forest, cause of its dark colour. But when we went inside my breath stopped. A wonderful gothic church rotting and getting lost!
We stayed there till it was dark and just felt the awesome atmosphere of the huge roof and the silence in this holy place. I’ve never been to a place like this again...

mine shaft Rapunzel
It was cold and windy when we arrived at this place. We had to climb up a hill, passed an retirement castle and wandered through the forest. And suddenly it was there! The building was huge and we didn’t know in this moment what it was made for.
We walked around it and felt the air breath trough the huge tube. There were many stones and metal around in the woods as if there had been a huge explosion.
I love industrial lost places...there once has been so much power and force in them but now they’re broken and pass away.

The UDSSR Mill
I drove through a wonderful green valley with a nice river when suddenly, behind a lot of trees there was this awesome building. It has once been a mill near the water, but now it’s empty. In this area there have once been a lot of mills but it cost to much to produce in germany so they closed them. It was beautiful to see how nice and sweet they have once built their industrial buildings. And it’s so sad that nobody is working there anymore and the place is rotting alone in this amazing landscape...

The inn in Munich
In the middle of Bavaria's state capital is an old inn. It is very big and many people used to be here before. A place of celebration and happiness.
But now there is only silence and destruction. The house continues to deteriorate and I didn’t feel hunger at all like the people used to feel so many years ago. It smelled of mold and sent food leftovers. I left the place in a hurry.

The temple of dead muses
In the middle of a forest, near a lake is this wonderful old pavilion. It was a cold, chilly day when me and my companions arrived there, but it still felt like in summer. Like a creepy urbex summer ;)
Not far away there is the same temple, but this one is still intact and people are caring for it. But this one is forgotten...

Purification building
This building is part of an huge complex built over a hundret years ago. In this industrial structure once gas was cleaned from sulfur. It was abandoned for a long time when someone wanted to put some artists in there. But due to some building regulations it was forbidden to use it.
Since then it is lost and waits for something to happen. I so much hope that they will find some conclusion to safe this beautiful piece of industrial architecture. I had the chance to visit it for the last time, when they closed it for public and I could feel that wonderful power of industry and long forgotten beauty of engineering.

Castle Dracula
I got a tip for the location of this old building and I was told, that this was some old youth centre. When I arrived there very late I was totally shocked by this beautiful old castle. I hadn‘t explected to be that old and wonderful.
It was an cold foggy day and the lights went down when I finally went into it through a window. Suddenly I felt cold and it felt like the house did eat me alive. Inside it was completely dark and my little flashlight didn’t bring much light into it. It was absolutely silent and when I found the bar I read the words above it: „When you read this it‘s already too late. They‘re coming for you!“. That was when I ended my exploration, because it was much to scary for me there. But at the same time it was wonderful!
Do you know what I mean? Did you ever feel the same?

The Pension
This sweet little pension had once been really nice. Unfortunately, their inhabitants left the beautiful building. It must have been sudden and surprised. After a while homeless people must be drafted, because all drawers were open and a small "sleeping area" was set up. The mold hangs on the ceilings and walls, the water runs in unhindered. Too bad that this small hotel is abandoned today. I would like to know what happened here, that its inhabitants disappear so quickly.
