The last person to touch this Moose meat was my Pappy Jene Gregoire. He died 5 years ago. I got this from my old boss at the cabinet shop I used to work for on a recent trip home. The catching up I did with my old boss was worth the trip by itself. He was kind to give me this frozen Moose. I gotta be honest, it's weird to prepare and eat this. My Pap was one of my heroes. He instilled many values and habits I have today. He was a well traveled, using a motorcycle to do so. He and Grandma visied me when I moved to NC years ago. He was a hunter, gunsmith, coal miner, farher. A real man's man. I often wonder what he would think of me and my current pursuits in life. Would he be intrigued? Dumbfounded? Angry? Proud? I will never know. Thanks, Resta Jene, I, with my cats, eat well tonight.

A few years ago I looked like this. My hair was put in a silly fashion for the pic as was the expression on my face. Te he, ha ha. However a bad relationship, chronic drug and alcohol abuse, a distorted view of self, and an overall miserable state of mind is what, from my recollection, this pic reminds me of. I have the same job, live in the same place, have the same hobbies. I have "broke in" the wrestling business since this was taken, but that's mearly apart of my self, not the be all end all. What's changed for me in the last couple years was a slow methodical process to live in congruence with my self. It didn't take a big move, a fad diet, or a "fresh start". None of that works to be happy. It takes work. My self takes work-it is not a 'work'. It is not a gimmick. #tbt #omg #wtf #notawork #notagimmick #self
