Yes, mundane, but I am looking for fire-resistant curtains for the CLAS office.
If you have ideas, let me know. 159.5 inches wide, 118 inches height. The other is 51.5 inches wide, 118 inches high.

Nice to get things done.
1. Working on getting logos for student government. The small things go a long way. 2. Get new computers for the office. Dolores has been very helpful in that, as well as Dave Bryan. If you need a computer, Dolores is the person to go to! 3. Talking about motivating students. Challenging. 4. Student parking. Noreen Collins is on vacation, so I will check in with her when she gets back, as well as check in with Steve Little. 5. Look at SERVA for our community service recognition needs. It's important we create a database where we can draw statistics about BC students doing community service. 6. Legal representation. It's always a good idea to consult in matters to make sure your ducks are in line. I have learned that speaking with people in person is the best way to get things done. Interesting. 7. Talking with other student governments regarding office space and improving its utilization. Personally, I have to focus on my LSATs... need to get the score up. Shoutout to Binary Solution (binarysolution.com) and Sonel Shropshire (http://www.sonelshropshire.com/) for their help.

The CUNY Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes are generally rules, regulations, notifications, etc., for all things CUNY.
For example, no student government fees can be added unless the Board writes their approval into the minutes, so a good way to keep track of any actual business is through this website.

If you want to get involved at BC...
If you are a Brooklyn College student at Brooklyn College, and want to get involved, please make sure you reach out.
There are a number of ways to help, but it is better to start with me at the top. We can offer the resources and support you need to accomplish whatever it is you want to do. If anything, we can start in the right direction together.
It always looks good on a resume to accomplish things while in school. Make sure you receive proper recognition.

Official duties for our Vice-President, Darren
Darren Sadaphal, vice-president, and I were hanging out today discussing some business and cleaning up (multi-tasking is awesome).
So, bottom line is:
Darren will now be in charge of student government relations for International Education and will be helping Eynar Khaimov, Assemblyman, with getting metrocards for students.
At the forefront of metrocards will be Eynar and Darren.
In terms of International Education, I know the school is still making an office for it.
Stay tuned!

1st Blog Entry as CLAS President
Here, I hope to keep a running dialogue with those who are interested in what I am trying to do as CLAS student government president at Brooklyn College, 2010-2011.
I will also be keeping notes time to time for those who would like to know certain things.
Like for example. Today, I wanted to know how I can update the BC online directory so the contact information for CLAS student government is updated. The point person is Nancy Strein for that. She works in Communications.
If you wish to reach me, here are a few ways:
[email protected], [email protected], 718.951.5524 at the office.
Email is preferred.
If you want to know about things on campus, have questions, feel free to get in touch.
By the way. If you would like to know more about our Alumni Mentoring Program, please contact [email protected]. We have some great Brooklyn College alumni who are willing to reach out to our young students and advise them in the current job market. Whatever it is you want to do, we probably have an alumnus/a in that field!
By the way, if you did not know, our office is:
311, Student Center (SUBO)
E27th St and Campus Rd (Google Maps: 2700 Campus Rd)
Brooklyn, NY 11210
Across the street from the Library Cafe and Whitehead Hall.
Next, updates for clubs, and other things going on.
