““When you find out there is no ultimate good and evil in which you can place your faith, the world does not fall apart at the seams. It simply means that every decision is more difficult, more critical, because you are creating the good and evil yourself and they are very real.””

Many mixed messages have been spread about the efficacy of masks in preventing transmission of COVID-19. Nevertheless, there is good evidence that they help. (Video and image credit: It’s Okay to Be Smart; references)

Owning a business taught me the only way to get rich is to have slavery somewhere in your supply chain. Being a landlord taught me the easiest way to get ahead is to step on those considered beneath you and push them further down. Being a corporate employee showed me that even the most successful workers are benefiting from free labor at home, whether it’s cooking for them, cleaning, executive function or decision making. Free labor is all around us.
I think what’s fun about the concept of socialism and giving every person a living wage and everyone upset about it ruining the lives of billionaires and how it impedes on someone’s rights to hoard wealth and what not is the fact that like…
would there be anything stopping someone from theoretically having billions of dollars? Or are CEOs afraid that if people “don’t have to work then no one will work!” meaning that they might actually have to be competent enough to do the work themselves.
Think about it.
“I’m so hardworking and I have all my money through hard work and me myself alone that is why i deserve my money because its MY money that I got through hard work! Myself! No one has a right to MY money.”
“If everyone is allowed to have money then no one will work! And the economy will be ruined!”
What about you pal? Didn’t you just say how hard working you are and how everything you have is all due to you and nothing else and everyone just needs to take personal responsibility?? Are you now suggesting that actually maybe your wealth has something to do with other people and their working hard?
So which is it pal? Give everyone money and it’s not a problem because hard working people like YOU will never not be hardworking because you like your MONEY. Or don’t give people money and admit that you have the money because other hardworking people are doing things for you for no money.
those are your options

Rebloggin for later
There are some clear-cut disagreements among Democrats on whether it is more important for a Democratic candidate to “find common ground” with Republicans or to push hard for policies that Democrats want, even if this makes it harder to get some things done.
Overall, 63% of Democratic voters – including substantial shares of those who support Buttigieg (82%), Bloomberg (79%) and Biden (72%) for the nomination – say it is more important for a Democratic candidate to seek common ground with Republicans, even if it means giving up some things Democrats want.
Sanders and Warren supporters are much less supportive of finding common ground with Republicans. Roughly half of the Democrats who favor either candidate (54% of Sanders supporters, 46% of Warren supporters) say it is more important for a Democratic presidential candidate to push hard for policies Democrats want, even if this makes it harder to get things done.
More findings on the candidates’ supporters here.

“Though largely ignored in America’s popular history of World War II, Black women’s important contributions in World War II factories, which weren’t always so welcoming, are stunningly captured in these comparably rare snapshots of Black Rosie the Riveters.”
