10 Personality Traits of a Confident Person
1. Self-Assured - Confident people believe in themselves, and they believe that their life fulfills a special purpose in the world. They know their strengths and have accepted their weakness.
2. Ambitious - Confident people know what they want. They easily define their goals and strive to achieve them. This could be the most significant trait of confident person.
3. Sociable - They are adept at navigating various social situations with seeming ease. This ease is borne of the belief that they belong in any environment. Confident people know how to endear themselves to others and how to take compliments and criticisms gracefully.
4. Competitive - Confident people love competition, they love to test their mettle against the best efforts of others, because they believe they can win, even when they lose.
5. Risk Taking - They take risks because they are not afraid to lose, or to be wrong. While they are confident in their abilities, they also know instinctively that nobody wins them all, and that they will likely win out the next time.
6. Hard Working - Confident people know the best path to achieving their goals is through putting in hard effort, no matter how exhaustive or arduous. Hard-working people are confident, and confident people are hard-working. It’s a chicken-egg thing.
7. Determined - They also never give up on their goals, even when it sometimes seems impossible. They know that it is better to try and fail and try again than to give up and let doubt take over.
8. Accepting - Confident people are often the most accepting people, taking others as they come, no matter their shortcomings. They succeed at this because most confident people have recognized their own shortcomings and realize that the path forward is not about keeping other people down.
9.  Shrewd - Often, awareness and cleverness breed confidence. Confident people are often good at quickly sizing up other people and figuring out social hierarchies and situations.
10. Positive - Confident people are, simply put, positive people. They know how to assuage doubts, conquer fears, and how to find every silver lining in a sky gone gray with storm clouds. They know that while failure is a part of everyday life, even in failure fresh starts are always possible.

40 and beyond.
A Gift to Myself. I will no longer put my relationship off with myself by, making my relationship with myself a priority and finding out who I am even if it takes a lifetime. I will stop allowing the fear of fear to muddle and stagnant my life. I will Embrace the freedom of not having to know all the answers, by Being softer with myself. Stepping forward in my life, Relinquishing passive living. Putting the work into making things happen. Finding a way without excuse, regardless of how hard it is, or how long it takes. Finishing what I start. Getting comfortable, being uncomfortable. Challenging myself. Speaking up, using My voice. Not being paralyzed by the fear of consequence. No longer holding onto the past, and my 20 year old self, and allow her to become the beautiful “memory” that she is and embrace the graceful, complex, rich, inquisitive, passionate, loving, kind, 40year old that I am today. Stop hiding behind old accomplishments and create new ones. Be Present. Create balance by surrounding myself with what I Love, and releasing what doesn’t work for me. Contribute to what I care about. No longer live a lukewarm life. Travel Light and often. Accept that there are no perfect moments, and that I am but a string on a violin. Embracing my vulnerability in this vast universe, twirling in the wind, dancing to the melody of the breeze. Here I am. 40 and beyond.

The unknown has kinda a sweetness about it, that you'll only taste, if you are open to its distinct flavor. Who am I not to drink it in~

My definition of Bliss is the ability to accept what is, in that very moment without attempting to dress it with understanding. Bliss is untouched rawness. The Pursuit of happiness, is dependent upon circumstances, while Pursuing Bliss is only dependent on your willingness to surrender to your Souls callings . I now choose to Pursue My Bliss~ Namaste.

The death of the American Dream
I have found myself struggling with the “American dream” the dream where you have more, and more just isn’t enough and never will be. The dream where you are in constant motion, but never get anywhere. The dream where you look the part, but are emotionally, spiritually and mentality bankrupt. Who created this so called “dream”, because I am exhausted attempting to keep up. I want to be free, but I am in a battle between logic, and the sinking feeling of regret. Regret for not living my truth. The truth of knowing that this is not my soul’s desire. The truth of knowing that in order for me to connect to who I AM, I must quite my world. Where I can absorb the light, be the light, speak from my soul, and plant seeds of purpose and intent along the way. I don’t want the “American dream ” I want to live free~

Because I was born with the seed of Excellence planted deep inside of me, I must be accountable for its growth. I must nurture it, tend to it, and cultivate it, to allow it to bloom, to stretch beyond its borders and confinement. To allow it to radiate it's brilliance without guilt of judgment, alienation, or shame. My Excellence courses through my being, like tides to the surf. It looks for ways to escape, to be seen, to be heard, to be honored. Black Excellence isn't an anomaly. We all carry the seed embedded deep within our roots, traversing through our bloodline. We are ALL Excellent, we're just not all free to recognize it's existence~

My thoughts allow me to escape into solitude under the watchful gaze of wanderlust. Ever present. Never failing. She always prevails even if only found within the corners of my mind. Her voice lingers and echos breaking through the silence. Conversations between my soul and I . Ever present. Never failing.

We are born to be Rare, but we have become accustomed to being carbon copies of one another. It’s too risky for most to live Rare, yet some are bold enough to give into their knowing and choose to become UNcaged . To embrace the light inside that is distinguishable. The place where the soul is only nourished when we live our distinctive truths, the place where Rare is celebrated and honored . Our authentic songs are beautiful, if only we are bold enough to Risk being Rare~

Welcoming the Abyss. I have always found peace wherever nature resides. In the things that we can not take credit for. God’s canvases. Here I find Life, and Here I find myself~
