^^^^ so one of our relatives tested positive for covid

^^^ we have to go back to school in august and the only time we've ever done well in school is in online classes but our parents still won't let us go virtual this year

^^ our sleep schedule is shit and we probably have a sleep disorder but our parents wont let us ask our doctors about it (or our tics/any other symptoms we show)

^ I'm genuinely terrified that when we go back to school I'm going to lose any grip on my life that I have right now. These past few months I've managed to improve my life more than I could possibly imagine because I don't have school and homework bogging down my life and mental health. I'm finally able to spend time with friends without sacrificing schoolwork and mental stability for it, and I'm actually happy and motivated on a day to day basis. I've never felt so stable and I don't know what I'm going to do if I lost that stability. I only have a month left before everything changes again and I'm terrified that in the next month I'll get even happier and feel safe for once, only to have it all ripped away when I have to go back to how life was before. I don't want to lose control over how I live my life, and I don't want to feel like a failure again.

Social Alter Things Part 1:

Alrighty, my name is Nearly, I'm my system's 'Social Alter', which basically means I'm in charge of scheduling and keeping up social appearances.

I haven't heard anyone else talk about this specific role, so it might be something only my system has but I thought I'd share some of my responsibilities to see if maybe we've just mislabeled my role?

Anyways! My main responsibilities:

Keeping the body healthy and well taken care of.

Writing out chore lists and tidying up.

Spending time with friends and family (who don't know we're a system) so they can see we're doing well.

Handling important social situations. (Public speaking, check ups with the doctors, job interviews)

One great example actually is today, we had a job interview that I set up previously and originally another alter and I were co con for the interview, but since this alter has pretty bad anxiety and doesn't socialize often, I ended up handling the interview on my own :/

I'm also a co Host!! I don't like fronting too too often though, I take care of one of our younger alters in the inner world, so I spend a lot of time there :)

Habits, Tics, Stims, Compulsions, and Behaviors

CONNOR AND NEARLY AR TRYING TO LEARN TO DRIVE

I, Orion, a fifteen year old, am not learning how to drive.

I was fronting about 20 minutes ago, when our dad decided it would be the perfect time to take us driving.

Anyways, I ended up shouting in headspace for a solid few minutes to try and get Connor to front since he knows what he's doing, but somehow only got him to be co con.

Driving is terrifying.

Alright we havent been on here in forever cause stress and system changes and shit- Beth and Talluluh integrated into Nearly and we discovered a few more alters, I'm restarting our account cause why not so ya, hi.

CONNOR IS IN CHARGE OF OUR SOCIAL MEDIAS BUT THE POOR BOY IS BIG SAD RIGHT NOW SO IM IN CHARGE AND I'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING HELLO.

Earlier we were trying to do homework while listening to music, and a song Connor really likes came on. So Connor switched out, then Talluluh switched back to keep doing the assignment, and Orion started switching out for whatever reason.

Anyways then there was a whole mess of rapid switching and arguing between Connor and Orion while Talluluh was just blanking at a wall.

In the end Talluluh was the one fronting and it took her a solid few minutes to realize she was in control of the body.

And the only thing I could think of to describe the incident was this.

So, we have this weird little puzzle cube, none of us really use it too much, but I found it buried in a box and pulled it back out to see if someone in the system could solve it.

Within MINUTES Ryn had switched in to start solving the cube, and now everytime I see the cube, Ryn switches in to work on it. She's been working for 2 days now, and tends to get 1-3 sides of the cube solved, but hasn't managed to completely finish it. I'll keep a count of how long it takes for her to finish it, and post a picture of the completed cube.
