the reason why James&Lily bashing isn't tagged on EAJ is because 1. there's too many tags on that fic (I can't stop yapping) and 2. our boy charlie loves them very much and that's not going to change in the og fic </3 I feel like with bashing, there's an expectation of catharsis and like?? punishment for their bad behavior, along with how the narrator sees them, and in EAJ, Charles rlly doesn't figure out how terrible his parents are </3
