Honestly, when I first watched the hunchback of Notre dame two I thought the plot twist was going to be Madeline was Phoebus's lost cousin, which would explain why he isn't set to betroth her in the Disney movie. I always wondered how long frollo's rapescapade against Esmeralda lasted, and I had no way to calculate that time gap between when Esmeralda escapes to when frollo starts burning the city down, and finally the night of the raid against the court of miracles. I always wondered how long the Roma lived in fear and hiding, how many were arrested? After the events of the movie, are they freed? What about other criminals persecuted under frollo's rule? Is every case reopened? Or only recent ones? Where's the king?

Well, I can answer one question

How long did the razing of Paris last?

Well, the festival of fools was on January 6th, and for reasons later this is very important, I want to talk about the time we can account for. Because the length between the festival to the end of the movie is 7 days, how I got that number I'll reveal later.

So, the first day goes to the festival itself, January 6th. Esmeralda claims sanctuary, and then that night, leading into January 7th, Esmeralda escapes, immediately afterwards, the following morning to be exact, frollo starts his raids, so this means our final answer is

Five days.

All that damage to Paris is done in five days, not including the night that Phoebus and quasi go to find Esmeralda, considering he would have already calculated the plan to trick quasi into leading him to the court of miracles.

Now, how did I get that number? Well, it does help that January 6th 1982 is an actual date that we can use to our advantage,
