Did a little excerpt for @kobaltmusic PRIDE this year and what it means to me...❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Pride fills me with gratitude for those who fought before me, so that I can have fundamental rights and live openly and fearlessly as a queer person—people like my aunt who left the hospital to testify against the same-sex marriage ban while battling late-stage cancer in 2014. She passed away later that year, but the fire she lit in this world continued to burn and contributed to the legalization of same-sex marriages in 2015. It’s our community’s responsibility to continue the fight of generations past, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with activists across different movements and fighting for the rights of marginalized people.
