A place for unsung efforts that never make the cut. ( Also, a dated reminder for me to not stop creating no matter what )

“Back at it with After Effects! 🎥✨ Dusted off my keyframes and followed an awesome tutorial by Jake Bartlett to get back into the groove. It’s been a while, but it feels so good to create something fun again! 🚀💡 ”

The first portfolio I created after passing out from the design college. It wasn't even close to being decent forget great but l think posting here is more about me having a place to look back to how far I have traveled than to showcase anything to the world. This must be close to 9 years old.
The Character Design project in the above post was part of a college assignment where we had to design a character using a classmate of ours as a reference in terms of either or both; looks and personality. I decided to take a friend of mine as a reference but decided to completely reverse his personality, that is, his being polite, decent, and trustworthy, I chose the complete opposite of these traits.
The various stages of character design including clay modeling, character poses, expressions, etc.
( I am putting this to recall why I made it the way I did )

Hopefully this place is going to be an archive of everything I have done ever like most of it. Stuff that isn't on my website or behance and even behind the scenes of ongoing projects.
I am hoping tumblr stays like this for a while.

So I was brushing up on my skills and was trying to learn InDesign from Skillshare. This tutorial is by Kate Silver

So this is one of the first ones where I have changed a minor detail from the actual tutorial. Essentially the background used because couldn't find the exact same images. But I guess in future posts I would try to change at least the color theme from the original tutorial if not the design or layout

Yeah, so another one of those tutorials that I practiced from Caler Edwards. I think I might end up doing some more of these before moving to create my own content. Although, will club multiple assignments in a single post in the future if there won't be much of a story to tell. Also, below is the link to the tutorial :

So yeah this is another one of the tutorials from Caler Edwards. I have shared the link below. I had been hoping to write some thoughts with each one of these posts but since writing my thoughts and opinion is also something new to me ( Usually I just blurt them out ) thus finding it difficult. Anyways, have a great day and here's the link :

So this is from one of the youtube tutorials by Caler Tuts. I am following and imitating his tutorial videos hoping to get my creative block to end but want to document everything.
Earlier, I never used to document my learning process anywhere and sometimes one comes up with some amazing work while deviating from the tutorial itself. But those small bits aren't worthy of putting in the portfolio but worthy enough to be shared. So this place is essentially a kind of open journal for those thoughts and creative breakthroughs.
And, they might also act as something extra for those overzealous interviewers who are like, "do you have anything else to show" after you have shown them the best of your works.
Below is the link for the tutorial video that I used :

Adobe Dimension and XD were used for making this.

Hey !!
So I will keep it short. This will be a place for my experiments and learnings ... tutorials and whatever. Documentation/dumping ground for all working and non-working ideas/experiments.
Let's see how it evolves...
