Also something funny that will be apparent if Freytos becomes canon is that it reveals Kratos has these specifications for becoming his wife:
Be a badass
Be skilled in combat in some form
Lady that doesn't take any shit
Also your name has to start with either an L or an F specifically
#all true; though to me what's incredibly important is that Kratos learned to appreciate Freya back when she was 'just' the#Witch of the Woods; an outcast and a compassionate woman with a vast assortment of skills that did not have to include combat#(he didn't know the real reason she kept the sword but didn't use it was because of Odin preventing her from that)#no less important for Kratos himself was the reveal about Freya's godhood happening roughly at the same time he#had to confess his own background to Atreus; all while he and Atreus were both faced with the shocking truth of Faye's#giant heritage#to be able to confront the news about Freya in real time and respond to it directly and move on from it alongside her#was a necessary experience for both Kratos and Freya#interestingly if Faye had seen/envisioned Kratos's meeting with Freya after her own demise she must've had her share of fun#thinking about how he would have to handle not one but TWO bombshells at the same time (learning about Faye being a giant#and about Freya being a goddess)#freytos#warflower#kratos and freya#kratos and faye#kratos and lysandra#god of war#god of war ragnarok

The Dwarven blacksmith Brok was the first ally we encountered when we set out for the Mountain's peak. He and his brother Sindri made the Leviathan Axe for Faye, and this has been our common bond. Brok is blunt, with a foul tongue, but there is a wisdom in his bluster. I find him acceptable company.

Heimdall was everything described—a cruel, pompous bully, and a formidable foe. His gifts of intuition were nothing to be ignored, nor was his unexpected mastery of the Bifröst. When I struck a blow that should have ended the fight, I tried to heed the voice in my head, that he was beaten, not worth killing. But Heimdall sensed my pity, and it shamed him. His pride would not allow him to accept my mercy... so in the end I gave him none. It was not my choice... and yet, I feel... satisfied. Have I proved the Norns wrong, or have I proved them right?

#note how Hercules's way of reassuring and comforting Meg isn't to say HE isn't like that but that SHE is not#no NotAllMen-ing no mansplaining no invalidation; just support and acknowledgment; Disney what did you do to yourself#and how could you trade this kind of writing for what we are exposed to now? At least we still have this#great gifs#disney#hercules#hercules and meg#otp: i finally know where i belong

#that one time modern Disney wrote a healthy relationship and honored a classic power couple; Ariel regains her voice and the first thing#she does is try to explain herself and her actions to Eric; reassure him that she never wanted to lie to him; that unlike Ursula/'Vanessa'#who stole his free will and agency to make Eric fall in love with her and to have her way Ariel never intended to take advantage of him#because Ariel knew how much independence meant to Eric and how he fought tooth and nail for it; because she fought for it too#and Eric for his part regains his free will and the first thing HE does? Is to reassure Ariel she doesn't HAVE to apologize or explain#anything to him; that he had chosen her regardless of whether she was a mute victim of a ship wreck or a siren with a gorgeous voice#who had saved him; love the soft coloring of this set; it highlights the message perfectly#disney#the little mermaid#tlm#la tlm#the little mermaid 2023#ariel and eric#otp: written in the stars
