Hi i am looking for a camren fanfic i read a long time ago, if anyone knows the name please tell me. It is a red tally au story. Where if you fall in love you get a red line on your wrist or arm. Camila has never fallen in love so she has no lines and she can't wait on her first one. Lauren has 2 or 3 i think. Camila gets one for Lauren but she hides it with makeup

Saw @calliettes-posts asking about Ada's season and thought I would do a run down on why Ada's season went the way it went because history matters:
Long explanation but you need to know the history of the show post s4 to understand the dynamics of Ada's season. During s4 wtfock GOTS8's themselves and the show imploded and they lost an insane amount of fans. Which really sucks because when Nora(Yasmina's) season aired the audience was very resentful and it showed in s5 numbers then the show ended and the fans were honestly glad because how much they had soured on the show.
In the middle of this drama, sputnik who produces the show had a whole bunch of leadership changes and a partnership with go play began and wtfock became way more corporate. Wtfock is sputnik's cashcow so s4 & s5 were also plagued with hard sponsorship pushing that really pissed off the fans too. The authencity of the show was starting to get muddled.
So once s5 ended everyone was like "good riddance". Also during s4 & s5 the show had leaks all over. Staff leaking shit, actors visibly frustrated with the writing and also some big fandom artist leaked that the show used some of their work and didnt pay them or didnt know the context they were making the work in. It was just not good vibes. So the OG gen ends. Well, my two cents is that sputnik produced more new shows that didnt do as well aka (Nora's football show) and they needed money. Wtfock even when it does poorly it makes sputnik alot of money but they knew all the bad vibes associations with the show so they kinda let sleeping dogs lie and didnt give anyone a hint of a new gen happening even during the production of S6 no one called it "wtfock" just Ada.
Then s6 gets announced and even Veerle is promoting the new cast and basically saying its a new slate. Not to hold this gen accountable for all the shit that went down in the last gen. S6 starts airing and to TBF all the cast just didnt have a rhythm yet the acting wasnt the best and the story was a bit dull. Also skam/love triangle is one of the most hated tropes in the fandom. Also s6 was a play on s1 except Ada is the Jens character versus her being the Noah character. Which bad decision because it was hard to root for her. So the season was sorta of a bleep on the radar nothing special and forgotten as soon as it ended. It also didnt draw that many old fans back and didnt seem to pick up as many new fans either. The promotion was okay for the show but i did notice there was alot of emphasis on giving this cast a chance and alot of people just didn't care to newgen with a remake that burned them so hard. So yea...... thats kinda of the history. Btw Wtfock has gone all in marketing this season and brought commercials which has never happened before. So i think they are just playing with a new strategy and also beforehand actors weren't allowed to talk about the show(aside from Nora after the terrible s4 season) but they are now.

Katniss is so endearing to me, because while she describes herself as very literal, and focused on only practical things that will aid her in survival, and unconcerned with other people, she’s insanely empathetic (also way more intuitive than she gives herself credit for) and also, deeply entrenched in symbolism. Like, this girl never met a metaphor she didn’t like and didn’t get really invested in. Most people don’t give their love interests epithets but here she is. “You have a weakness for beautiful things and I don’t” girl your whole life is a poem that you’re constructing from color theory and flower motifs what are you on about??? Even Snow knows she’s Miss Literary Analysis when he sends her the lovers’ roses to taunt her. Katniss. Sweet summer child. Take your “kiss from the giver” pearl and admit you aren’t a “the curtains are just blue” person at all.

I just don’t buy the idea that Snow and Lucy Gray’s dysfunction in TBOSAS is somehow indicative of Suzanne reinforcing how unimportant the love story of the original series was … if anything, it doubled down on how absolutely necessary it was! Snow fails to break Katniss and Peeta precisely because he fails to grasp the nature of their unselfish love (for others and for each other) … the very reason he expects the hijacking to work is because it would have worked for him: he would have turned against his ally in a heartbeat … for all that people liked to say “Team Katniss” when the movies were coming out, it’s Katniss’s un-Snow-like lack of self-determinism that saves her and humanizes her and her love story with Peeta is a HUGE part of that … I’ve said it before: no one stole the Hunger Games manuscript and added the love story; Suzanne wrote it because she wanted it in there

We also need to have a civil conversation about this, too. I've been seeing this argument so much.

"I just want to clarify that I’m well informed on the situation that is going on but Byler has only one chance of happening. Meanwhile Palestinians are dying anyway. They have been for years and will continue to die. Since when do y’all care about them and their lives? You started talking about it only when it became trendy.
Fake activists, move on and continue eating expensive food in your comfy house and not giving a fuck about people far away from you dying. That shit happens everyday and if you get involved your psyche will be hurt. Let the politicians deal with this instead of bullying a random actor that didn’t do anything harmful"
browsing through the noah schnapp tag to see what he did now and seeing these words was a literal slap in the face how can someone post this and think theyre a good person???
(When I first read this, I thought you were saying that shit in my inbox and was ready to throw hands, so I was very relieved to see you were just sharing the bullshit from someone else's blog.)
I just searched in the tag and saw this exact post. How fucking horrifying. Instant block. I doubt anyone could reason with this person.
"Palestinians are dying anyway. They have been for years and will continue to die." Can't believe anyone typed this genuinely and without pause. Just say you don't care about Palestinian lives and stop there, you'll get your point across better.
"Since when do y’all care about them and their lives? You started talking about it only when it became trendy." Many people are only just now beginning to really educate themselves on the history of Israel and Palestine. I'm among them - I used to be one of the folks who thought it was too complicated and nuanced to take a stance on. Then I read Palestine: A Socialist Perspective, started reading from news sources and independent journalists outside of mainstream western media, started listening to Palestinian and anti-zionist Jewish voices, and realized how false that was. I take responsibility for not educating myself sooner. But it's actually weird to frame people educating themselves and having empathy for people dying as jumping on a trend.
"Let the politicians deal with this..." Ah, yes, let's leave it to the politicians, who notoriously have our best interests in mind and would never do anything to cause harm. (/sarcasm) "... instead of bullying a random actor that didn’t do anything harmful." If you think sharing violent zionist rhetoric such as "you stand with Israel or you stand with terrorism" or trivializing the deaths of eleven thousand Palestinians with stupid stickers calling zionism sexy, in front of your audience of millions as a celebrity, is "not harmful" then we clearly are not going to agree on anything.

How the Watermelon Became a Symbol of Palestinian Solidarity
The use of the watermelon as a Palestinian symbol is not new. It first emerged after the Six-day War in 1967, when Israel seized control of the West Bank and Gaza, and annexed East Jerusalem. At the time, the Israeli government made public displays of the Palestinian flag a criminal offense in Gaza and the West Bank.
To circumvent the ban, Palestinians began using the watermelon because, when cut open, the fruit bears the national colors of the Palestinian flag—red, black, white, and green.
The Israeli government didn't just crack down on the flag. Artist Sliman Mansour told The National in 2021 that Israeli officials in 1980 shut down an exhibition at 79 Gallery in Ramallah featuring his work and others, including Nabil Anani and Issam Badrl. “They told us that painting the Palestinian flag was forbidden, but also the colors were forbidden. So Issam said, ‘What if I were to make a flower of red, green, black and white?’, to which the officer replied angrily, ‘It will be confiscated. Even if you paint a watermelon, it will be confiscated,’” Mansour told the outlet.
Israel lifted the ban on the Palestinian flag in 1993, as part of the Oslo Accords, which entailed mutual recognition by Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization and were the first formal agreements to try to resolve the decades-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The flag was accepted as representing the Palestinian Authority, which would administer Gaza and the West Bank.
In the wake of the accords, the New York Times nodded to the role of watermelon as a stand-in symbol during the flag ban. “In the Gaza Strip, where young men were once arrested for carrying sliced watermelons—thus displaying the red, black and green Palestinian colors—soldiers stand by, blasé, as processions march by waving the once-banned flag,” wrote Times journalist John Kifner.
In 2007, just after the Second Intifada, artist Khaled Hourani created The Story of the Watermelon for a book entitled Subjective Atlas of Palestine. In 2013, he isolated one print and named it The Colours of the Palestinian Flag, which has since been seen by people across the globe.
The use of the watermelon as a symbol resurged in 2021, following an Israeli court ruling that Palestinian families based in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in East Jerusalem would be evicted from their homes to make way for settlers.
The watermelon symbol today:
In January, Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir gave police the power to confiscate Palestinian flags. This was later followed by a June vote on a bill to ban people from displaying the flag at state-funded institutions, including universities. (The bill passed preliminary approval but the government later collapsed.)
In June, Zazim, an Arab-Israeli community organization, launched a campaign to protest against the ensuing arrests and confiscation of flags. Images of watermelons were plastered on to 16 taxis operating in Tel Aviv, with the accompanying text reading, “This is not a Palestinian flag.”
“Our message to the government is clear: we will always find a way to circumvent any absurd ban and we will not stop fighting for freedom of expression and democracy,” said Zazim director Raluca Ganea.
Amal Saad, a Palestinian from Haifa who worked on the Zazim campaign, told Al-Jazeera they had a clear message: “If you want to stop us, we’ll find another way to express ourselves.”

israel is performing a massacre at al-shifa hospital in gaza as we speak, having already surrounded and bombed four other hospitals in the north of gaza
you will hear a lot about "israel has been telling people to evacuate the north of gaza for weeks!!!!"
israel has also been bombing the south of gaza. many evacuated only to return to their homes upon realizing nowhere is safe. the evacuation "corridors" were also frequently targeted. there are hundreds of thousands of people still in northern gaza who are not terrorists, just families who cannot leave their elderly or disabled, families who want to die in their homes, families who do not want to become permanent refugees as they know they will be
and i just want to say, which any normal person should know, that hospitals cannot be evacuated. al shifa is the largest hospital complex in gaza and it is older than the state of israel. there are amputees who have just had fresh surgery making their way in wheelchairs and on foot to the south of gaza. there is a woman whose arm was amputated and her whole family killed but carried her only surviving child alone with her remaining arm until she arrived to the south.
but there are many other disabled and hospitalized people who cannot make that journey. israel has also bombed ambulances and ambulance convoys. many doctors have repeatedly said they are not abandoning their patients. these are not terrorists. they are heroes
and of course the least portable was the nicu, where dozens of babies are in incubators. this was where all the remaining power was directed to. when israel targeted the last generator, the power for the incubators went out. doctors have been manually pumping oxygen for these babies. one baby has already died. another doctor trying to reach the nicu from another part of the hospital was shot and killed.
i honestly dont rly know why im telling u guys this. this situation is unfolding right now. we don't know what will happen to this nicu. we don't know whats going to happen to the thousands of wounded still in the hospital and the doctors who stayed behind. all we know is that the world let it get to this point
