I went to the open campus of LUCA School of Arts at campus Narafi to check out their photography courses.

Lately I’ve been considering to quit graphic design and to study photography instead. This has been my second semester here and to be honest, I don’t see myself doing this study for the next 3 years, and most of all, I don’t see myself doing graphic design for the rest of my life. What I do want to do till the end is photography. I never imagined doing it on a professional level, because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to make a living with it and in my mind it would always just stay a hobby. But now I’m reconsidering that.

Liselots first tattoo

In January ‘17 I accompanied Liselot to her appointment with a tattoo artist, called Feralis Artworks, where she got her first tattoo. I made some pictures and a short video of that day (which can be viewed here)

Those times at the Rooigemlaan (finally developed an old film roll)

After I came back from my gap year in Shanghai, I decided to enrol in LUCA School of Arts to study Graphic Design. This is where I met my current flatmate and one of my dearest friends, Luka. Because of some issues at her home, she stayed at my place for several weeks during January ‘17.  It was loads of fun actually, now that I look back.

In Febuary we found an apartment and are now living together in Ghent.

A few weeks ago I had an idea to finish a single-use camera (fujifilm quicksnap) in one day. I set an alarm every 27 minutes and whenever the alarm went off, I took a picture of something/someone in my surroundings.

This was the first time I used a single-use camera and many of the pictures were underexposed. These are the pictures that turned out okay.

Despite some failed results, I still enjoyed this little project. Maybe I’ll buy me another single-use camera next time!
