'' she smiled as she was presented with another drink taking it to her hands as the other continued to speak. ''Oh i'll happily drink to that.'' she chuckled before too taking the shot and placing the glass back down onto the bar in front of her.

bonnie was appreciative of her friends hug, returning it and letting out a gentle sigh before she pulled back. ''i'll talk about any of it but leave the jeremy of it out. think i'm over it now.'' she paused for a moment tucking her hair behind her ear before tilting her head to the side. ''why did you help esther elena?'' she knew she had to ask and that she had her reasonings but for some reason she couldn't help but feel slightly sorry for them having their mother wanting to kill them.

a soft sigh escaped from the doppelganger's lips, shaking her head as brunette locks shook in the process, " i feel like it's been a long time since any of us have gotten any really good news. " elena shot her friend a sympathetic look before wrapping her arms around her and pulling her in for a hug, " you wanna talk about it? any of it? all of it? none of it? "

bonnie had only heard of lexi, everything she'd done to help stefan in the past she admired. it seemed she was one of the good ones in the sea of monsters that seemed to be flooding through town. ''if you know the mikaelsons, then that should be enough explanation as any for anyone.''

the blonde rested her chin on her hand, wiggling her fingers in a playful hello to the witch. they hadn't exactly communicated before, but she'd seen what the other woman would do. "yeah...i really don't have a proper idea but....tada!"

''lexi?'' bonnie exclaimed not expecting to see the blonde stood before her looking very much alive. that in itself gave the witch even more of a bad feeling about the spell that elena had assisted esther with. not quite sure how to react to seeing her but it also appeared that she had the same reaction to being here. ''i'd ask how but I think I already have a feeling.''

lexi sat at a corner table in the mystic grill, her fingers tracing the rim of her glass absentmindedly. "...this is awkward. it's so totally awkward." the blonde murmured to herself. the chatter and laughter around her seemed distant as her thoughts lingered on the undeniable truth—this was the place where she had met her fate once already. it was all painfully ironic, the night she returns to life returning to the place she was killed.

at the words in her ear a shiver moved through her body, instantly telling it was the older of the salvatores the one she favoured more so as of recently but she wouldn't admit that. stefan was causing too many problems both in general and for elena. ''she didn't need to get elena involved though- she's put a target on all of our backs in the process. the witch sighed turning slightly to face him. ''you know you're the only person to ask me about that?'' taking a sip from her drink she shook her head. ''but no, I don't care what happened or what he did...'' she sighed. ''i'm still trying to deal with seeing my mom for the first time in fifteen years, again not that anyone has asked.''

damon's hands fall onto her shoulders, his mouth coming close to her ear as he leans down into her space. "what's better news than the originals are getting self-owned by mommy original? i'd call that the best news." swiftly, before he can be slapped or glowered at for his invasion, he releases her in favor of taking a seat alongside her. "anyway, i heard down the grapevine that you and jeremy broke up. bummer. is that the drama you're referring to?" somehow he has a funny feeling that she's only been allowed to process so much of that with all her friends' own break-up energy being in the fold lately.

bonnie gave the other chance to speak, she'd seen her a few times around town but other than that hadn't really noticed her much. turning to give her a soft smile. ''i can drink to that.'' bonnie chuckled softly before taking a sip of her drink. ''glad to know it's not just my life that's completely going down the drain. not that it's a good thing that yours is....''

❝ ⸻ I think you have me confused for someone else . ❞ Davina looked at the witch who was nursing a drink . Sitting down just a seat over just in case she simply needed the space . ❝ Given my life , good news are hard to come by sometimes . ❞ She waved at the bartender and ordered her regular , she's been having the past few weeks here .

the sound of the younger salvatores voice along with the obnoxious nickname was enough to make bonnie shudder. she understood elena wanted to get him back but bonnie was unsure what part she had to play in this. ''then don't speak at all i'd rather listen to silence than listen to you ramble on about nothing.''

"sorry to be the bearer of bad news, bonnie bear , but you should know that good news does not come regularly in mystic falls." he rose the glass in his hand, before drinking the residue with a soft hiss leaving his lips shortly after. with his humanity switched off, he relieved of his worries of what was to come.

despite her mood bonnie didn't want to be alone and the appearance of her best friend was more than welcome. ''you're right I could. i've not really had time to deal with the fact i've seen my mom after fifteen years as well as everything else going on..like jeremy kissing his ghost ex girlfriend? why is this our lives. like in what world is that a normal sentence care?''

caroline couldn't imagine how bonnie was feeling. after her mother coming, only to flee, and having the pressure of being the only witch in their little circle of vampires. "trust me, i'm not here to bring bad news. or...good, really. i just...i thought you could do with some company."

the events of the past few days weighed on bonnie heavily. the original witch being brought back from slumber as well as several other originals. seeing her mother for the first time in fifteen years, all of it was enough to send her crazy. she sat nursing her drink sighing as she heard the other approach her. ''if it's not some form of good news I don't want to hear it. my head hurts with all the drama.''
