Announcing the One Piece Gag Tourney!
This is a tournament for collecting and competing all of the great gags, gaffs, goofs, and jokes in One Piece! Both individual gags and running gags are accepted.
Here is the submission form.
Rules:
Individual gags can have an image and written propaganda.
Running gags can have a main image, written propaganda, and additional images of that gag as further propaganda.
Any One Piece media will be accepted, though I'm partial to the manga. Submit gags from the manga, anime, movies, games, live-action, fuckin'... stage plays, I guess. Go nuts!
Each Round will last a week, and the brackets will be random.
Unlike most Tumblr Tournaments, this will be a Double-Elimination tournament, meaning there will be a Loser's Bracket to give every gag at least two rounds to make its case.
Mid-round propaganda and anti-propaganda are allowed. We're just talking about jokes, it's the most inherently unserious topic imaginable. Feel free to hype up your joke or shit-talk the opposing joke as much as you want. Try to be funny about it, though.
That said, no bigotry. Bigotry will get you blocked.
I will reblog propaganda and anti-propaganda during the polls, but only if it's good, not just "Vote this!"
I will be accepting submissions until I feel satisfied that I have enough (64-128 good gags). I will give a warning several days before I close submissions.

The Worst Anime Tournament is cancelled!
Since the list did not satisfy the majority of users, I decided not to run the tournament anymore. I apologize to those who made the submissions and thank those who supported me. My goal was to make you have as much fun as possible but if this tournament isn't able to do that it's better to end it here. Thanks to everyone. If you want you can unfollow me.

I have re-read all the reasons you submitted and some of these are not sufficiently convincing. I therefore wanted to ask all the users who have submitted the anime that I will write in this post, to add something more convincing in the same form in which you wrote the submissions by October 11th. If I don't receive a more convincing reason by that date, the anime will still be able to participate but will not have propaganda.

No offense but at the end of the day, every non-joke submission is going to be "because I don't like it" regardless of the reason they SAY.
Do you want this poll to be about anime with poor sound/writing/visual/acting quality?
Do you want this poll to be about anime with 'unethical' elements (i.e. people think it endorses harmful acts or features 'gross' relationships)?
Do you want this poll to be about 'annoying' anime or their fandoms?
People can say why they don't like it but it's still just as valid as people who don't say why because they all just don't like it.
Out of that list you posted, I'd vote for Sword Art Online, The Seven Deadly Sins and Evangelion, purely because I tried all of them and they all annoyed me. I could get into WHY they annoyed me but it's still just my personal distaste for them.
If I were you, and I genuinely mean this as advice and not criticism, the only way I see this poll bracket working is if you accept any and all reasoning, and choose based on the numbers.
As for propaganda, I'd just do word for word quotes in reblogs or just answer the asks and ignore any submissions that seem threatening or cruel, and maybe make a tag for it in case someone wanted to block it.

I mean when the tournament is about voting for the worst of something, the entire thing by default is just going to be people getting angry, and all propaganda is just going to be negativity. You're under no obligation to run a tournament like this if that's not something you want to deal with. I know I certainly wouldn't want to

I think maybe saying things like "it's popular or over hyped/cringe" are not valid reasons. Grooming, poor plot, confusing premise, diverting from the source material... those are valid criticisms to make a show bad

I think for criteria, it should include stuff like art, story, voice acting, and stuff like that.
A great story could be massively impacted by terrible voice work or bad art direction. Some great looking and amazing sounded anime are actually really bad when you analyze the story for more than 10 minutes. Some series were really good when they came out initially or were milestones in anime history, but there are a lot of elements that make it age poorly.
I think asking for people to clarify briefly (like 2-3 sentences minimal) on what elements make a certain anime "the worst" in their eyes would be a good place to start. It would make it really easy to figure out what anime are being submitted only because they're popular and not because they're genuinely bad. It would also make it so people don't have to go multi-page essay to get their thoughts across.
I'd also make it mandatory that the submissions include basic plot summaries. If an anime is bad, I don't want to go out of my way to look it up and see what the plot is. Including the plot summary along with the propaganda that explains why someone views an anime is bad would be good.
