When I was writing the Fortnight music video, I wanted to show you the worlds I saw in my head that served as the backdrop for making this music. Pretty much everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another. For me, this video turned out to be the perfect visual representation of this record and the stories I tell in it. Post Malone blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero and I’m so grateful to him for everything he put into this collaboration. I’m still laughing from getting to work with the coolest guys on earth, Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles (tortured poets, meet your colleagues from down the hall, the dead poets). I still can’t believe I get to work with the unfathomably brilliant Rodrigo Prieto on cinematography and my team of dream collaborators: Ethan Tobman (production design), Chancler Haynes (editor), Anthony Dimino (1st AD), Jil Hardin (producer) and Dom Thomas (executive producer). Parliament aced the VFX as always. Joseph Cassell, Lorrie Turk and Jemma Muradian made these tortured looks come to life. The entire crew made this a dream to shoot. Thank you to everyone involved and everyone who has watched it!!

The first single from The Tortured Poets Department is…………. Fortnight featuring @postmalone 🤍 I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever. I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight. Honestly can’t wait for you guys to hear this song at Midnight TONIGHT and see the video at 8pm ET TOMORROW.
It’s my birthday today!! Trying to celebrate by being grateful for all the wonderful things I have in life and no focus on what I don’t. So thankful for the love in my life and I’m excited to see what this year holds for me. 😊💕
Summary: A mother must be many things in life and reality has a way of putting romance on the back burner.
Rating: E for sexual content, language, coitus interruptus (as in they get interrupted multiple times... it's a whole thing), parenting shenanigans to include closet monsters, vomit, bratty teens, and more coitus interruptus. Also car sex.
A/N: Another oneshot! I wrote this for Mother's Day in 2017. It's 8,927 words of modern-au Everlark trying to have some sexy times and continually getting interrupted by their parenting responsibilities, until they don't get interrupted... or don't they? You'll have to read to find out, but I do promise a happy ending for this one. ;)
It's something I've thought about for a while, but my job the past year and a half has been absolutely insane and left no mental capacity for anything else in life, especially something creative, unfortunately.
But now that I'm unemployed for the next who knows how long, I'm finally going to tackle my book idea. I have no idea how to get started with writing a book, but I'm going to make an outline and work on that and see where I go from there. Any recommendations and suggetions are welcome! Wish me luck!
