Well...

I’m thinking about getting a new fish tank. I’m going to put it on my dresser

A 29GAL fits perfectly but I’m not sure if I should go that big. Opinions? Should I go a bit smaller??

P.S. I’m planning on having shrimp in it and maybe a couple other fish (inside on which species yet) I also want to try live plants before I put in any animal.

HEY, DON’T FUCKING DO THIS TO YOUR FISH. Not only will your bettas be stressed out by and attack each other, but they’ll be stressed out by and attack your guppies, which is going to stress out (and probably kill some of) your guppies, AND you’ll have the added benefit of keeping soft, acidic water fish with hard, basic water fish, so you’ll also probably be slowly killing one or both of them with incorrect water parameters. Congrats, that’s animal abuse!

there are really people out there who don’t know i have fish… like, they don’t look at me and immediately think “wow that loser has 9 fish tanks and multiple eels”…… tragic

it’s fine to catch your own native fish if it’s legal and you can properly house and care for them, but i swear to god, if you get bored and release them back into the wild i will hunt you for sport

Pet Peeve

I hate how much people act like they care about their fish until they’re told they aren’t taking good care of them.

They always go from something like:

“Oh I want my fish to have a buddy so he isn’t lonely!”

To:

“Why do you care so much it’s just a fish.”

In an instant

when you eat all of the repashy spawn & grow meant for the skinny darters and your owner refuses to give you more

With that potato puffer post floating around, I’m seeing a lot of people recommending 20g minimums for them

Potato puffers get ~6in/15cm long and are aggressive little tubers. They deserve at least 40g minimum with larger sizes of course being preferred. Please give the potatos the space they need.
