I think it’s funny when people in the United States try and criticize other countries on their supposed lack of diversity, even more when they bring up ye’ old argument of “The US is fifty countries in a trench coat!”

These are the same people who blatantly said that they hoped Gaza got turned into a parking lot after Kamala lost the election (her own damn fault). The same people who gleefully called for the deportation of illegal immigrants, people who aren’t even allowed to VOTE, much less change the tide of an election.

And don’t forget how there were numerous posts going around about how people in blue states thought that people in the red states should be bombed off the map, even though in places like the Deep South, the population mainly consists of African Americans. Y’all don’t actually care about cultural diversity, y’all just weaponize it when it suits you.

greta was time's person of the year a few years ago. she was adored by all liberal world leaders and parties. and when she learnt about people's struggle under occupation and colonialism, she stood in solidarity with them . she now stands with palestine and armenia and kashmir and every oppressed person in the world. she could have been rich as fuck by simply remaining as a climate activist. yet she chose to do the right thing. i love her for her integrity.

at the time when anne frank was arrested, she was breaking the law. the people who helped hide her and other targets of the nazis were also breaking the law.

that is where it leads when you justify state violence. “if you didn’t want oppression you shouldn’t have broken the law” is an attitude that leads directly to fascism, and it rings entirely hollow from those who also support a leader that flagrantly violated the law but waived the consequences by virtue of power possession.

The National guard is being deployed to Los Angeles to support ICE.

ICE and the LAPD have been firing rubber bullets directly at protesters and utilizing weapons like tear gas.
