JOSH BOGORAD: --felt like a sixty-minute staring contest with both teams getting surges, and you knew kind of it was going to come down to that last goal getting it done.

MIKKO RANTANEN: Yeah, it was, uh--I though we had an excellent start to the game, you know. First period we were, should've scored two or three to be honest, you know how many looks we had. And, uh, Hellebuyck made some big saves, and they had a good push in the second, you know, they get the first goal and we were kind of on our heels for a little bit there. Otter made some big saves, and then big goal by Steeler at the end of the period, tied it up. And, yeah, third was obviously--I think we were pushing, pushing hard on that one. I think it was, uh, almost just as many chances, maybe even more, than in the first period. So...so, uh, it was just, just a matter of time, and gotta shout out, you know, Steeler for getting that power play for us and winning goal.

DARYL REAUGH: Hey, Mikko! You guys go into a series with certain things that, that you want to do against a-a-a team. Uh, what did you think in, in the end here that you guys did well in this series that has you heading to the Conference Final?

MR: Yeah, I think we did a good job adapting, you know? I think we played a solid first game. Um, they, they played a good second game, but that's kind of the theme of the playoffs for us: after we lose, you know, it's been good, good responses the next game. And, and I think adapted. You know, we stick with it the whole series. We were playing smart, you know, and, and obviously Otter, Otter was probably best player of the series, in my opinion. You know, he was, uh, excellent when, when saves were needed.

JB: Mikko, you are experiencing your first post-season run as a member of the Stars, became an instant legend here in Dallas with the way that first round played out, and, and then especially how it ended. How have you enjoyed things over your time since arriving, even dating back to the regular season and the trade deadline, but specifically, this last month during the post-season run?

MR: Yeah. I-I love it, you know. It's been--um--it's been great. Uh, obviously I knew from all the Finnish guys that it was a great place to be in, you know, in Dallas. And, and I love the fans, how, how involved they are in the game. And, and, um, it's just been great, you know, and, and, I love winning, you know, and this team has done it third year in a row in the Conferen--

--and how they, how they, uh, play in the playoffs. It's--uh--it's remarkable, and I'm just so happy to be a part of it.

DR: They can't keep your jersey in stock around here [they all chuckle], that's how popular you've become already, so. Uh, hey, look. The-the offence, uh, stands for itself, the--what you have provided so far. But, um, with your experience and obv-obviously having won a Cup uh, with Colorado, are there other things that you feel like you can add to this group beyond just what happens on the ice, goals and assists?

MR: Yeah! Well I try to be vocal in the locker room. You know, I think that's--uh--that's one thing I've always tried to be, and, uh, you know, help our--help our team that way. Obviously, we have a lot of vocal guys in the room already you know, with, obviously Benner and Seggy and Dutchy, you know, veteran guys. But, I try to chip in on that part, too, and, and try to--try to be vocal.

JB: Mikko, we appreciate the time. Thank you so much...[stammers] you've been nothing but outstanding to deal with since arriving here, and on the ice, obviously, speaks for itself. Congratulations, I know you love winning, and you guys take care of another opponent and keep on going. We'll catch up with you in the Conference Final.
