there's a thousand aus about billy and stu surviving, about them being smart enough to fake their wounds AFTER killing everyone, and I love them! they're great!

but what if only one of them survived?

we know stu had it worse. he wasn't feeling well.

what if the cops and ambulances get there and took the two boys to the hospital. billy is hurt less, so he's discharged first, and spends so much time in stu's hospital room that people start some rumors. billy refuses to leave unless he has to, not until stu can leave.

he never does.

billy can't continue as ghostface without his right hand man. his best friend. the love of his life.

so he just leaves town after he graduates. every inch of woodsboro reminds him of stu. the mall where they'd hang out. the park where they'd sit in billy's car at night, plotting their next move. the forest where billy almost kissed him.

eventually, billy does start killing again. something, someone, sets him off and he has to see the light leave their eyes. maybe someone tries to mock him for his past and they end up missing. maybe someone looks a little bit too much like stu and they're found dead in a ditch, eyes pulled out and face torn apart.

i don't know. it's just something to think about.
