*through gritted teeth* you are not a child taking a test with the purpose of getting the highest score, you are an adult trying new things and finding ways to enjoy your life, make mistakes, be a beginner, be mediocre, be where you need to be, be unlikeable, just. be.

I think one of the most dangerous things we can do is justify why we should treat marginalized people well. “Gay people aren’t just interested in sex” “people who use welfare often work multiple jobs” “some people are fat because of a health issue” I actually don’t care about any of these things. We shouldn’t be treating people inhumanly regardless, and that’s what we’re fighting for.

there's disabled people out there who could probably work if they really really pushed themselves, but don't work. there's people who could probably do more housework than they can, or aren't putting out the maximum amount of effort they are able to manage. and you know what? that's great. those people don't have to wring every last drop of ability from their bodies to be allowed to have a break. or be supported. i'm so happy that there might be disabled people who got support before things were dire. i think more disabled people should get support so that less of them have to work even if they can at a push, and more of them have time to do important things. like take a nap. ameen

this has to be one of the evilest photos ever taken. just zero class. no decorum. and the tattoo placement - just nasty. and the fucking hat.... the stylist was out for him that day because who in their right mind would put this together? the pink leggings that actually fade into a shade that matches his skin tone so its like. lorts (legging shorts but illusion) with printed on piss and butternut squash puree stains on the left leg, white suspenders and a fucking pilgrim hat. the fucking fish eye lens and this horrid pose. how do you make a bulge in tight clothing look bad? idk what kind of talent that is but i cannot believe its been done

i love being disabled without proper documentation and unemployed its so great being too physically disabled to work 90% of jobs and being constantly passed over for the ones I could do because they'd rather just hire someone whos cis or able bodied! Being too mentally unstable to get the certifications that would make it easier to find work is great I dont feel trapped by my circumstances and like a burden on everyone in my life. Its so wonderful being too poor to even get the medical documentation that would allow me to even apply for disability in the first place but who knows how long that would even take ! in my favorite spot of all ! right between a rock and a hard place.

idk y’all should treat fat men better. and i don’t mean mildly chubby guys i mean honest-to-god love-handles-and-double-chins fat guys. stop calling them shit like discord mods or gross weebs or nasty creeps or neckbeards or that they’re stinky or sweaty or beer bellied or whatever else. fatphobia isn’t cute, even repackaged in a neat little box of “ew men”

They should make a "are you mad at me" that is taken neutrally and informationally every time and doesn't make everything worse when you ask it

actually though medical trauma is often really glossed over in general discussions and depictions of disability. i always get the sense that fiction mis-attributes medical trauma to hating being disabled but like. even people who are perfectly fine with their disability can experience extensive and severe medical trauma. people who are diagnosed or undiagnosed. people who were born disabled or became disabled after birth. you have to submit yourself constantly to the whims of people with significant power over you! you're forced to consent to things that you might find invasive in order to access healthcare. if you're trying to access healthcare you have to expose your difficulties, sometimes pain, sometimes suffering up for someone else's dissection and perusal. and it feels like shit even when they don't dismiss you or berate you, or assault you, or gaslight you, or deny you healthcare. god help you if you're also trans or black or brown or can't speak the local language well or a number of other intersecting issues

once enough people actually meaningfully consider trans women women and held under misogyny’s boot we can have such incredible conversations about how crazy often trans women are manic pixie dream girl’d for sexual experimentation and how we have to mega lean into patriarchal norms of how women should conduct themselves in relationships if we don’t want to be called abusive or male socialized, including in queer relationships and relationships with feminists. unfortunately many of you still manage to always start discounting rape culture and emotional abuse as "drama" when its happening to trans women. sad!
