OOC: I feel like I should say this isn’t intended to be a super active blog in the sense that I don’t really plan on actively seeking out plots. It’s mostly here to have, and use as a device to push other plots. Brocks an asshole. He’s always going to be an asshole. There’s not a lot of room for casual threads or anything like that. If you ever want to plot with Brock, use him as a punching bag, or general antagonist. HIT ME UP. That’s what he’s here for.

OOC: Fcuk. I was googling around to find a reading order for Secret Empire because I decided I want to read this trainwreck in it’s entirety because I’m a masochist. And I just!! Forgot that the one Moon Knight plot that fucking WREKT me also involved a Hydra group called Secret Empire. -sobs grossly- I don’t need this. I’m feeling so attacked right now.

She leaned into the gesture of comfort and let out a long, slow breath followed by a soft laugh. “I wouldn’t worry. Passive in any form isn’t really my game.” She looked up at him and shrugged. “I just don’t… recognize myself anymore. It’s off-putting.”

“Well...” Brock dragged the word out, as he finalized what was going to follow, “If not havin’ a red face is that big of a deal for ya, we could paint the whole damn town red,” He smirked, running the tips of his fingers down Sin’s spine as he spoke of painting the town, “Bash in a few skulls, slit a few throats. Ain’t nothin’ like uncensored carnage to remind ya who ya are.”

OOC: Also, like, seriously, don’t be afraid to hop in my ask or ims to ask me to plot. I’m so down for plotting. I don’t really post starter calls or w/e but if you send me a message that just says “can we plot” without anything else and I’ll be so down for it.

Crossbones didn't help Steve kill the Red Skull, he just didn't do anything to stop it. Besides, Crossbones has seen the Red Skull die before.

OOC: Sin & Crossbones were clearly in on Steve’s plan to kill Red Skull. They physically brought Skull there knowing what was going to happen, and Crossbones did literally nothing to stop it. That’s no different from Crossbones Reichenbach falling Skull himself.

As soon as Steve leaves the room, Sin asks if it was quick, and she was disappointed it was. Crossbones said nothing, and only questioned Steve’s decision to kill Skull because he was important to Hydra’s plan to take over the world, because of Prof. X’s brain. Last time he thought someone killed the Red Skull he crashed a plane into their building.

Like, honestly, helping kill Red Skull isn’t my biggest problem with this situation, if I’m being completely honest. Crossbones has Sin, and that’s a perfectly good surrogate for Skull. He has a life partner who embodies his ideals, and goals.

The problem here, is that he helped CAPTAIN FUCKING AMERICA, kill Red Skull. Captain America, is the embodiment of the American way, and Crossbones despises it. He was fine with the Thunderbolts right up until he realized that Cap was in charge. He’s specifically stated in canon that he would never do anything to help Steve. Steve Rogers is the one person in the world Crossbones hates the most.

Having Crossbones work with Captain America ignores character almost as badly as having Captain America work with Red Skull.

He had a point. Usually she wouldn’t want to be interrupted and she hated playing games like this. She shook her head at herself and pushed her hair out of her face. “Jesus, Brock…” she smirked a little, unable to help herself. “It’s not like I changed my lipstick here.” She stood up and moved around the table, running her hand through her hair again. She was still getting used to that again too.

She walked toward him, stopping just in front of him and tilting her head a little. “You have nothing to say about… this?” She waved her hand vaguely in front of her face. 

Brock watched, and snorted softly once he realized what she was talking about, “What? What d’ya expect me t’ say, babe? It’s your face. Big whoop. I didn’t fall in love with ya because of your looks. I mean, you bein’ hot is definitely a plus for me, an’ I’m not complain’, but I mean s’not like my face has always been nice t’ look at.”

He got up, and wrapped his arms loosely around her waist, “Just cause somethin’s pretty don’t mean it’s better, an’ just cause somethin’s got a few scars doesn’t mean it’s worse. Now, if y’ suddenly decided t’ be Ghandi or somethin’ and wanted t’ be a pacifist... That I’d have a problem with.”

      Trauma glared, feeling oddly betrayed by this. What the fuck was the point of everything he’d been put through if even Crossbones couldn’t see the merit of keeping him around? “Whatever. I don’t need anyone. Fuck you.” With that incredibly well thought-out stinger, he headed for the door.

      Brock didn’t have much more to say, he just chuckled, and watched Trauma go.

      Trauma clenched his fists, getting pissed all over again. Fuck, man, even the guy who’d screwed him up didn’t want him around. “Fine,” he growled. He mentally scanned the room for people’s fears, looking for something he could either chase as a lead or use as leverage over Crossbones. Nothing was extreme enough to prompt a shift, but one fear did stand out. Trauma smirked a little and got up as if to leave. “I’d be careful relaxing here, though. Someone here is worried about being caught as a snitch.”

     “Ain’t got nothin’ t’ hide,” Brock rolled his eyes, and waved off Trauma, “Go on, run off ‘n get your diaper changed, kid.”

      He huffed. “I can find jobs on my own.” He didn’t really know how and he’d probably end up getting himself in trouble trying it by himself, but admitting ignorance to Crossbones would be like admitting weakness. “I just figured I’d hit you up first, see if there’s any jobs you want help with. Didn’t you say early on that having a powerful ally was one of the benefits to training me?”

     “No one likes a smartass, don’t throw my words back at me. I’m here relaxing, I’m not at your beck and call,” He snorted, “And you lost any sort of advantage over me when you left. You’re not the top dog here, kid. You’re not even the beta.”

      Trauma’s pissed. Pissed at Parker for kicking him out, pissed at himself for fucking things up, pissed at his dad for being the first to send him away from home, pissed at Nightmare for creating him and just. pissed off. He should go to Frank, but with his powers still being difficult to manage, he was probably one emotional spike away from making Frank hate him, too.

      So Trauma went to the one person he knew who was completely immune to his powers and wouldn’t accuse him of making bad life choices: Crossbones.

      He found Crossbones in the bar the next day, the anger lingering as a dull buzz in the back of his mind, and sat down next to him. “Hey.”

      Crossbones hadn’t thought much about Trauma since he left, in all honesty. It’d been a fun little experiment, but, in the end, trying to control the son of a diety would no doubt end up being more trouble than it was worth. Once the boy was out of his hair, he didn’t expect to see him again.

      When Trauma ended up sitting next to him in a bar, he was surprised to say the least.

          “Back so soon, kid?”
