So like... what's the deal with matoro in circulation?

Ok so uh

The Dark Lord Makuta has rebooted the universe many times in an attempt to mold it into his image, but was always stopped by Takanuva and his friends each time in some way. In one such reboot, Matoro sadly sacrificed himself in battle, but after the universe once again rebooted, his sacrifice prevented him from being reincarnated in this new world. Instead he returned as a ghost, a Toa of Death.

Now he wanders the current universe searching for Takua to give him knowledge about the many universal reboots Makuta has subjected everyone to, in hopes to finally help end the cycle.

When you were write down circulation, did you actually have an idea of tge lore behind the story it was pretending to be or did you just make it up and left it to the imagination.

I made it up on the spot but then also thought up the context as I was making pages to instill a sense of backstory that I never planned to elaborate on unless someone asked

In the end things in my mind were coming together so there was a legitimate lore for Circulation that exists and the fact that it does is one of the main jokes of the manga because I personally think the more effort there is put into a shitpost, the funnier it is

Just a fanmade wiki that someone wanted to make to fill in the year-long gaps of information with their own headcanons about the lore and characters

Almost none of it is the lore I had in mind while Circulation was a thing, but it's a very flattering and appreciated gesture
