this might sound stupid but I can’t help but believe that the new wave of “birth control is actually horrible for your body, you need to get off it immediately” misinformation from influencers and the ‘natural cycle tracking’ apps suddenly being advertised is a sneaky underhanded way of causing more unplanned pregnancies that people now cannot abort. now is possibly the worst time ever to turn towards ‘natural family planning’

He did something similar again today when I was holding him and he was sleepy and I went to go let him down onto the couch and he dragged himself halfway onto the cushions and gave up with half his body still in my hands and he just laid there until I scooted him all the way on

My cat Peebee (short for Pebble) was doing his normal thing on the back of my chair and I guess he just got tired because he fully just went limp and started sliding down the chair onto the back of my neck and I had to hold up my arm so he wouldn’t fall off. He stayed like this until my arm got tired and I slid him onto my lap instead

Reminder that it's OK to dislike someone for petty, low-stakes reasons and avoid being around them even if there's nothing genuinely wrong with their character. And in fact the kindest thing to do in this situation is just to own that you find their vibe irritating and NOT spin up a narrative where you HAD to distance yourself from them because they were Toxic.

I bought new spices and they arrived today. They’re still not right, but at least they’re less wrong. I should stop buying spice mixes that I can’t smell first huh

I bought some spices online, I typed “corned beef seasoning” into the search bar. I bought the first result, it claims to be pickling spices. I received it in the mail. I open it. It smells like potpourri. The first ingredient is allspice. What are people pickling with this??? Additionally, this is super very not at all corned beef seasoning.
