SVSSS AU where everything is the same except that the seal on Luo Binghe's demon side missed some stuff which forces baby Binghe to make some realizations.

NYY: A-Luo are you ok? You keep rubbing your fingers together weird.

LBH: I'm fine. I just broke one of my retractable claws and those always itch while they're regrowing.

Corrupt generation before Qing choosing absolute trashfires for their head disciples/heirs with the plan being that they always get killed off or reprimanded with removal of rank and oops once again not all twelve peak lords are ready to ascend guess they have to stay another few decades. whoops.

Only the Qing generation are proving to be an immoveable trashfire that keeps escaping their cunning plans.

With JoAnne Fabrics going out of business I feel it is my duty as a cosplayer, historical costumer, and general sewing gremlin to help teach y'all how not to be reliant on evil overpriced mediocre big box stores for fabric and cosplay supply, cause if I catch y'all going into Homophobia Lobby to get cosplay fabrics imma have to start throwing hands. And frankly you guys all deserve better.

- Find a neighborhood full of brown people. Probably a slightly poorer neighborhod. I know, I know, but they will have small independent fabric stores. Selection in each may vary. Hispanic and Caribbean areas will give you prints that EAT. Muslim areas will give you fabrics with amazing drapery. Indian and Southeast Asian areas will give you beading that would make the House of Worth wet with envy. (Try to avoid oldwhitelady quilting stores unless you are a knitter or are specifically trying to cosplay Kirsten Larson.) (Also ask while you're there for lunch/dinner spot recommendations. Your fabric store guy usually has a buddy with a joint nextdoor with the best *insert relevant ethnic food here* you'll ever put in your mouth.)

- DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE OWNER OF SAID STORE. This I cannot stress enough. Abdul, my fabric guy, can and will get me whatever I want cause he knows me, knows I bring in other young people, and knows I will be back every month for more. Indie fabric stores tend to have older clients. They are anxious to see faces under 60. Just chat with whoever is in there about the kind of stuff you want and need and they will help you. This also frequently leads to discounts. I have not paid listed price for fabric in years and just walked out of Abdul's with 7~ yards of gorgeous teal satin for 10 bucks. Not a yard. Total.

- Do not be afraid of mess. The best shit comes from stores that look like a hurricane went through them. Don't try to understand the organization. (One day, 4 years into your relationship with the store, suddenly the fabric gods will reveal the knowledge to you.) Again, talk to whoever is in there about your project. They'll help.

- Give up on one stop shopping. Get your crafting supplies elsewhere. Like a small independent hardware store. There's usually an old guy in there that reminds you of an uncle who will also help you.

-Worbla and whatever other Cosplay Specific Material you're using is a fatphobic material straight from Satan's hot taint, you do not need it, and any old hardware/tractor supply dad will help you find better, more durable armor/weapon/detailing material. Don't snub your nose at paper mache and plaster of paris. Venetian Mask makers have been using it for years. Balsa wood is also your friend. Hardware store Uncles will teach you to work with both.

- Elderly people are your bffs. If you see an old person TALK TO THEM. They know how to do all kinds of shit. I know there's a hesitation around old people because of the political climate and a fear that they may be homo/trans/whatever-phobic, but hey....minds are changed by making friends. My elderly Muslim fabric supplier is an Our Flag Means Death fan because of me gushing about the teal I needed for Stede Bonnet. He wishes me happy pride now. He put bolt of rainbow in the window in June and kept it up all summer. And he'd never had a thought about queers before me.

- Don't feel limited to Craft and Fabric stores. Hardware stores are cool. They stock outdoor fabrics and umbrella and furniture covers that are very durable....my first cosplay was made out of patio furniture covers. Also upholstery stores and upholsterers have velvets and damasks and faux leather and real leather and all sorts of rich textures. Most of them will part with a few yards pretty cheap. Second hand sheets and bedspreads and curtains also make some really cool garments. A significant amount of my ren fair garb started as household goods.

- If you are forced to order fabric online, please for the love of all that is holy DO NOT BUY FROM MOOD or any other famous store. You're paying for their branding and their place on certain reality shows I will not mention. Indie is always cheaper for the quality and usually not abusing their workers.

- If the fabric/hobby/hardware/upholstery/etc store you develop a relationship with is inconveniently far from you, see if said owner is willing to take your order via phone and send it to you. You'd be surprised how accommodating people in the crafting and sewing world can be.

It all really comes down to having to form a community. I know finding multiple small stores is a lot less convenient than Joannes. But forming a relationship with a local supplier will, in the long run, yield you much better results AND put money and good back into a community near you.

(And if you're in the NYC area DM me and I'll put you in contact with Abdul. He's the absolute best and I'd do anything to help him and his business grow!!!)

Howdy Howdy! System Possession is a SVSSS AU born by accident and fueled by brainrot and quick sketches! The AU started because I drew a few pages for @fairsweetlonging System reveal au, and then started going insane about potential system possession with friends.

AU where Shen Yuan is Shen Jiu's shizun's husband.

Unfortunately, Shen Jiu's shizun died in the battle fighting Tianlang Jun. To bridge the gap between the generations, Shen Jiu's shizun's husband (who had been absent from the peak the whole time that Shen Jiu had been there) stepped in to carry out the Qing Jing peak lord duties and finish training the head disciple aka Shen Jiu.

That's when Shen Jiu got his first taste of parental love.

Thankfully, when the old Cang Qiong generation ascended, Shen Yuan remained behind as he wasn't officially the Qing Jing peak lord, just a substitute, and Shen Jiu got to keep his pseudo parent around longer. On the other hand, now Shen Jiu had to deal with panting gods and deities sobering over Shen Yuan... as the ascension of the Cang Qiong peak lords meant that the stories of the legendary beauty Shen Yuan was spread to even the heavens...

And honestly? Shen Jiu really wanted to know more about that insanely powerful deity dressed in black and red robes all the time. He had to be the most obsessed (and evil!) of the whole lot. His teleporting sword and abilities made it too hard for the newly named Shen Qingqiu to use the usual tactics to ward off Shen Yuan's suitors. Was he some icy river god or something? After all, this deity's name was "icy river". Maybe Shen Jiu could use fire to counteract the god's water affinity...?

Meanwhile the sexy widow in question, Shen Yuan, is just oblivious to his student's desperate fight against the dimension hopping Luo Bingge.

Thinking about Yue Qingyuan de-aging and Shen Qingqiu being the first to find him. Shen Qingqiu who's so paranoid and distrustful that he suspects even his own martial siblings of foul play, and hides Yue Qi in his bamboo house without informing even Mu Qingfang of the situation. Yue Qi is, of course, unbothered, and is just happy to be with his Xiao Jiu (Jiu-ge?).

The other peak lords panic, searching for their missing Sect Leader, and eventually, they discover Shen Qingqiu has been hiding him. The accusations are as incriminating as you'd expect, with people claiming *he* was the one to curse Yue Qingyuan and that he has malicious intentions. Yue Qi defending him does nothing to help his case, as the peak lords all assume Shen Qingqiu must have groomed the poor, innocent child to see him as a righteous cultivator and savior.

Gently, they try to explain to Yue Qi that Shen Qingqiu may have pretended to be nice to him, but he is not a good man. He's mean and spiteful, selfish and cold-hearted. He's hot-tempered, and fights using dirty tricks and a sharp tounge. Yue Qi just gives them a confused look, and tells them that he *knows* his Jiu-ge isn't nice, and that's okay.

To Yue Qi's surprise, Shen Qingqiu does nothing to defend himself. He doesn't throw dirt in anyone's eyes and run away or even bite them for saying such rude things. He just looks... tired. Defeated. Based on the peak lords reactions, he knows none of them caused the situation and tells Yue Qi to just go with them.

Yue Qi eventually agrees, but is *not* happy about it, especially when they all imply he must be glad to have escaped that "wicked man." Everyone is kind and gentle, and Mu Qingfang calls him strong and brave as he examines him, but Yue Qi doesn't want to hear it. He wants to go back to Jiu-ge, who scolded him for being reckless and hit him over the head with his fan. Yue Qi knows Shen Jiu doesn't mean it. Anytime he calls his Qi-ge an idiot, it just means he was worried about him.

That night, Shen Qingqiu is startled by someone tapping on his window. He isn't even surprised to open it and find a smiling Yue Qi, proudly claiming he snuck away. The other peak lords must be frantic at this point, but it's their own fault for not keeping a better eye on him. Yue Qi was impulsive as a child. Shen Qingqiu pulls him inside, and Yue Qi loudly complains about all the other peak lords, keeping Shen Qingqiu entertained until it's time for bed. They curl up together like they did on the street, and Shen Qingqiu sleeps soundly in the bamboo house for perhaps the first time.

Shen Qingqiu is the prime suspect after Yue Qi's disappearance, so the peak lords once again turn up at his house. It's already morning, by this point, and Shen Qingqiu thinks Yue Qingyuan is lucky to have him, since their martial siblings are all slow and useless. They don't suspect a sweet boy like Yue Qi to be capable of mischief like sneaking out, and immediately accuse Shen Qingqiu of kidnapping.

Already expecting the dog piling, this time, Yue Qi is quick to step in to defend Shen Qingqiu. He says his Jiu-ge would never hurt him, not in a million years, and if he did, that meant he deserved it. Shen Qingqiu is smart and capable, and he trusts no one more with his life, so they should all just go away because he won't go with them.

The peak lords are red in the face, a few probably even spit blood, and they try to insist that Shen Qingqiu doesn't even *like* him as an adult. Yue Qi is unbothered. He once again says he probably deserves it. Shen Jiu holds grudges, and he always makes him mad every day, but that's okay. Eventually, he always makes it up to him.

"Right, Jiu-ge?"

Shen Qingqiu sighs, and pats Yue Qi's head. "Eventually," he says, "I hope you will."

Then, he slams the door in their martial siblings' faces.

i feel like the knowledge that there are some medical databases with free-to-use 3D scans of various human organs available for 3D printing would have drastically reduced tumblrs amount of bone stealing scandals. plus you can make ones that glow in the dark.
