Forgot to post my rough draft of my monster collage This is really more like a test of the new photoshop options than anything I'm thinking of keeping the theme of hands reaching toward the viewer, but I'll photograph my own hands instead I also like the idea of hands holding up other hands like in the upper right. I'll likely use masks to make them look more natural I dont like that using my own hands means they'll all look the same, however I'm still not certain which part I'll draw traditionally in this piece

ionahi's digital art challenge
feeling rusty? stale? or lacking motivation? try this challenge to get your creativity moving! - - challenge 1: draw concept sketches of at least 3 different characters of different body types.
(tip: try drawing a body type that you don’t normally make!) - challenge 2: make a character headshot/bust of your choosing, then draw them again as a different ethnicity.
(hard mode: try drawing them again as the opposite gender or gender/non-gender of your choosing and another ethnicity!) - challenge 3: design or colour a character of your choosing only using a palette of 4 colours.
(tip: try using coolors.co for palette ideas) - challenge 4: draw your favourite character in 30 minutes.
(hard mode: draw them in 5 minutes only!) - challenge 5: colour a new piece or previous piece of yours in 10 minutes.
(tip: think about values more than colour precision!) - challenge 6: create a new character concept for your favourite movie/book/game/series/etc. must have at least two head shots, a front view, and enlargement drawings of any details.
(hard mode: create a full concept sheet with 8 different emotion head shot drawings, full front and back view, flat colours, and one alternate outfit/hairstyle) - challenge 7: draw a character of your choosing in the art style of another artist that you favour. (don’t forget to credit them with a link! it’s only polite!)
(tip: study the artist in question’s work first. analyse how they build and form their lines/anatomy.)
(hard mode: try colouring using their method as well!) - challenge 8: fill a sheet (at least size A4 paper) with sketches of something you struggle with. use a variety of positions/angles!
(tip: trace around pictures of the items you struggle with to better understand the movement and build of them. use these as guides to freeform draw them!)
(hard mode: make 3 sheets of 3 different items you struggle to draw.) - challenge 9: draw an item that you see somewhere in your work space. use this item to create a new character.
(tip: think about how the item feels in your hands, or what it can represent. what kind of personality does it have? what kind of person would own it? what would it say if it could speak to you? use these to help you design a unique character!) - challenge 10: using a friend or family member as reference, design them into a character you may see in your favourite movie/book/game/series/etc.
(tip: if for whatever reason you do not have anyone to reference or prefer not to use them, use a pet or animal you know a lot about!) - these challenges are free for anyone to use. you may adapt any challenge to suit requirements you need. you do not need to add them to this post or link back to this post when sharing your creations.
have fun! with love, ion
