Kny actor au where during the filming for episode 5, Tanjiro feels a small adoration for Genya and his character, but since it’s only one scene together he brushes it aside

However when he finds out they’re pairing up again at the end of the season, he’s excited to see him again, but..

This was his raw reaction to seeing how much Genya buffed up in only a few months between filming. The directors didn’t reshoot it because they thought his reaction was funny so it made the cut. They had to shorten the scene however, since Tanjiro made the most gawked shock noise ever afterwards.

because of hormonal patterns and season changes etc etc would there ever be a time where Genya would want to cuddle pile and it’s just the weirdest thing ever to his tank mates

There absolutely would be and EVERYONE would be shocked, including the staff. Zenitsu would be in disbelief the entire time but he would be fine with the cuddles. Tanjirou would be confused initially then absolutely delighted that Genya WANTS to cuddle. Nezuko would be ecstatic as well once the shock wore off. Meanwhile Sanemi would be fuming that Genya is actively cuddling Tanjirou and Nezuko (because he’s a jealous older brother).

The only time Sanemi won't suddenly lash out at Genya is during story time with Senjurou. This gives Genya plenty of time to be with his Nemi (and Senjurou is happy to be helping).
