"Eluein remained behind, and never too far away; a shadow in the mirror that reached out its hands to grasp either of Tarellia's filigreed shoulders, her face towering over Tarellia's own in their shared reflection. She couldn't help but curl her lips into a self-satisfied smirk at the sight. There they stood, looking very much the part of a reigning couple of an ancient noble court, clad in black and navy and silver. The colours of their garments matched, of course - such was Eluein's design, to bind them ever closer than they'd already been. Perhaps in time, their souls too would be akin in shade." & "Tarellia gladly took Eluein's hand and followed her to the mirror. It was there, once she saw herself, that she was left stunned. It was undeniably still her, of course, and much could have been done to improve the image; her hair could be set in a manner that was not merely a wild sea of curls, for instance, and the blankness of her eyes certainly did not strengthen the appearance either. And even then, the air of regality was undeniable: here stood a woman of renown, of power, of authority. Seeing herself in such a manner, she felt no urge to cover herself up, to hide even the most secret, vulnerable parts away. No, all of her could be a sign of strength; at least, it felt that way when she saw herself now."
