नए रायपुर के 100 किलोमीटर के दायरे में छोटे भारत का दर्शन होता है। हाल ही में इसे रहने लायक देश के बेस्ट दस शहरों में शामिल किया गया है।

देश के 26वें राज्य छत्तीसगढ़ की राजधानी है रायपुर। अब अटल नगर के रूप में यहां बसाया और विकसित किया जा रहा है अनूठा नगर नया रायपुर। हाल ही में इसे रहने लायक देश के बेस्ट दस शहरों में शामिल किया गया है। आज चलते हैं स्मार्ट सिटी के शहरों में आदर्श माने जाने वाले शहर रायपुर के सफर पर।

इतिहासकारों की मानें तो इस शहर का अस्तित्व 10वीं शताब्दी से है। आम राय है कि कलचुरी शासकों ने इसे अपनी राजधानी बनाया था। बाद में यह भोंसले शासकों के अधीन हुआ फिर अंग्रेजों ने इसे कमिश्नरी बनाया। साल-दर-साल शहर बनता गया और आज इसके 100 किलोमीटर के दायरे में छोटे भारत का दर्शन होता है। हर बोली-भाषा के लोग बड़े ही सहज ढंग से यहां रह रहे हैं। मौजूदा समय में इसकी सबसे बड़ी खासियत नया रायपुर है। पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री और छत्तीसगढ़ के निर्माता भारत रत्न अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी के दिवंगत होने के बाद इसका नाम अब अटल नगर रख दिया गया है। वैसे तो पुराने रायपुर में भी ऐसा बहुत कुछ है, जो आपको यहां रहने-बसने या कुछ वक्त गुजारने के लिए लुभाएगा।

संस्कृति संग अटल नगर

पुराने शहर से महज 25 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर है नया रायपुर। अगर हरियाली आपको लुभाती है तो यहां तक के सफर में मजा आ जाएगा। दावा है कि अटल नगर 21वीं सदी का शहर है। 237 वर्ग किलोमीटर क्षेत्र वाले इस शहर को बसाने के लिए चार भागों में बांटा गया है। फिलहाल लेयर वन में काम चल रहा है और इसी लेयर में इतना कुछ है कि आप देखते-देखते मुग्ध हो जाएंगे। छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार की प्रशासनिक राजधानी भी यही है। मंत्रालय-सचिवालय समेत तमाम सरकारी दफ्तर यहां हैं। एकदम साफ-सुथरा और सजा-धजा, बिलकुल कायदे से सारी चीजें व्यवस्थित। सिक्स और फोरलेन सड़कों का करीब 100किलोमीटर लंबा जाल आपको एक सेक्टर से दूसरे सेक्टर में मिनटों में पहुंचा देगा। यह गांवों के संग बस रहा अद्भुत शहर है।

नैनों को भाए यह हरियाली

स्मार्ट सिटी परियोजना में शामिल छत्तीसगढ़ के नए शहर यानी अटल नगर पर 8000 हजार करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए जा चुके हैं और 20 हजार करोड़ रुपए के काम चल रहे हैं। कहा तो यह भी जा रहा है कि अभी देश के किसी भी स्मार्ट सिटी में सभी सात मापदंडों का वैसा पालन नहीं हो रहा है जैसा कि नया रायपुर में हो रहा है। वैसे तो इस शहर को 2031 तक पूरी तरह बसाने की योजना है और तब यह शहर होगा 5 लाख 60 हजार लोगों के रहने के लिए। पहले लेयर में ही 40 सेक्टर बन रहे हैं, जहां रिहायशी के अलावा व्यावसायिक व औद्योगिक प्रयोजन के लिए स्थान चिह्नित हैं और इसी क्रम में इनकी स्थापना भी हो रही है। हरियाली ऐसी कि कुल क्षेत्र का 38.29 फीसद हिस्सा ग्रीन एरिया के लिए सुरक्षित है। इसमें 500 मीटर चौड़ा ग्रीन बेल्ट शामिल है। हरियाली से पटा यह शहर पहली नजर में ही आपका मन मोह लेगा।

'बूढ़ा तालाब' का गौरव

पुराने रायपुर शहर का सबसे पुराना सरोवर होने का गौरव 'बूढ़ा तालाब' को है। आदिवासियों द्वारा पूजित बूढ़ादेव के नाम पर इसका नामकरण हुआ था। इसके मध्य में एक सुंदर गार्डन है, जहां स्वामी विवेकानंद की 37 फीट ऊंची बैठी हुई प्रतिमा लगी है। वैसे, यहां यानी पुराने रायपुर में कई दर्शनीय स्थल हैं। नगर घड़ी चौक, विवेकानंद आश्रम और राजकुमार कॉलेज भी शहर की पहचान हैं। राजकुमार कॉलेज की स्थापना वर्ष 1894 में हुई, जहां राजाओं, जमींदारों के घरों के बच्चे पढ़ते थे। यह संस्थान आज भी है और रजवाड़ों की पहली पसंद है। अब धनाढ्यों और आला अफसरों के बच्चे यहां शिक्षा प्राप्त कर रहे हैं। यहां विशाल तेलीबांधा तालाब को खूबसूरत रंग देकर मरीन ड्राइव के रूप में विकसित किया गया है। मध्य भारत का सबसे बड़ा राष्ट्रीय ध्वज यहां लहरा रहा है।

समरसता की मिसाल

रायपुर ने हर वर्ग व जाति के लोगों को बड़े अपनत्व से अपनाया है। इसीलिए यह एक लघु भारत की तरह नजर आता है। यहां की प्रमुख सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों का केंद्र है-महंत घासीदास संग्रहालय, जहां सालभर संगीत, नाटक, नृत्य, गोष्ठी, कार्यशाला, विभिन्ना कलात्मक विधाओं पर प्रशिक्षण चलता रहता है। संग्रहालय में छत्तीसगढ़ में मिलीं छठीं सदी से लेकर 18वीं सदी तक की पुरातात्विक सामग्रियां हैं। शिव, विष्णु व गणेश की प्राचीन प्रस्तर व धातु प्रतिमाएं, बुद्ध-महावीर समेत तीर्थंकरों की मूर्तियां हैं। प्राचीन काल में प्रयोग में लाए गए पुराने हथियार, कृषि उपकरण, वस्त्र, आभूषण भी यहां रखे गए हैं।

आसपास घूमने वाली जगहें

आयुर्वेदिक स्नानकुंड

रायपुर से 85 किमी दूर नेशनल हाइवे पर स्थित है सिरपूर, जो कभी शरभवंशीय व सोमवंशी राजाओं की राजधानी हुआ करता था। चीन के प्रसिद्ध यात्री ह्वेनसांग भी यहां आए थे। खुदाई से मिले पुरावशेषों के कारण पुरातत्वविदों के लिए सिरपुर अनजाना नहीं है। यहां खुदाई में 22 शिव मंदिर, चार विष्णु मंदिर, 10 बौद्ध विहार, तीन जैन विहार मिले थे। छठी शताब्दी में बना आयुर्वेदिक स्नान कुंड और भूमिगत अनाज बाजार लोगों को अचंभित कर देते हैं। ईंटों से बना लक्ष्मणेश्वर और गंधेश्वर मंदिर शिल्प कला का अद्भुत नमूना है।

चंपारण्य

रायपुर से करीब 40 किमी की दूरी पर महाप्रभु वल्लभाचार्य की जन्मस्थली चंपारण्य है। वल्लभ संप्रदाय के लोगों के अलावा महाराष्ट्र और गुजरात से हर साल बड़ी संख्या में भक्तगण यहां आते हैं। यहां पर चंपेश्वर महादेव का मंदिर भी दर्शनीय है।

समंदर सरीखा रविशंकर जलाशय

रायपुर के दक्षिण दिशा में बढ़े तो गंगरेल डैम यानि रविशंकर जलाशय है। यह विशाल जलाशय समुद्र की तरह नज़र आता है। यहां वॉटर स्पोर्ट्स की भी सुविधा है। महानदी पर बने इस डैम के किनारे चौड़ा रेतीला तट हैं। रेत पर आराम कुर्सी लगाकर बैठें तो ऐसा लगता है जैसे गोवा में समुद्र किनारे बैठे हैं।

खजुराहो भोरमदेव

भोरमदेव मंदिर शिव मंदिर है, जो रायपुर से करीब 130 किमी दूर है। शिवलिंग मंदिर के गर्भगृह में विराजित है। सातवीं सदी में बने इस मंदिर की बाहरी दीवारों पर खजुराहो जैसी मिथुन मुदाएं बनी हुई हैं। यह मंदिर खजुराहों और कोणार्क सूर्य मंदिर का मिला-जुला रूप कहा जा सकता है। कुछ निर्माण 11वीं सदी में भी हुए हैं। मंदिर की खूबसूरती में इसके पीछे की हरियाली चार चांद लगा देती है। इसी से लगा भोरमदेव अभ्यारण्य भी है।

छत्तीसगढ़ का प्रयाग

रायपुर से करीब 45 किमी दूर देवालयों की नगरी राजिम है। यहां ऐतिहासिक राजीव लोचन मंदिर और कुलेश्वर महादेव का मंदिर है। सोंढुर, पैरी और महानदी का संगम होने के कराण स्थानीय लोग यहां श्राद्ध कर्म भी करते हैं। यही वजह है कि इस त्रिवेणी संगम को छत्तीसगढ़ का प्रयाग कहा जाता है। यहां माघ पूर्णिमा को मेला लगता है, जो पखवाडे भर चलता है। पुरातत्व की दृष्टि से भी यह जगह महत्वपूर्ण है। राजीव लोचन मंदिर की स्थापना का समय सातवीं शताब्दी माना गया है, जबकि कुलेश्वर महादेव का 9वीं शताब्दी। इन मंदिरों से लगे और भी बहुत से मंदिर इसके बाद बने हैं। यहां से आगे जाने पर जतमई-घटारानी पिकनिक स्पॉट हैं, जहां पहाड़ों से गिरती जल धाराएं मन को प्रफुल्लित कर देती हैं। बरसात के दिनों में यहां का नजारा और भी मोहक हो जाता है।

हवाई मार्ग सभी बड़े शहरों से रायपुर के लिए फ्लाइट्स अवेलेबल हैं।

रेल मार्ग यहां तक पहुंचने के लिए हर एक जगह से ट्रेन की भी सुविधा अवेलेबल है।
