Who is this verdict, what’s their (?) deal, what do they look for in a friend, who’s their biggest enemy
Who is Verdict?
Verdict is my Reflection ttrpg character for a homegame that I play every Sunday!!
(art by @eiilese)
Verdict (they/them) is an assassin from a floating city on the hand of a God called "Skypoint"! Their gun is woman called Spymaster (art on the right by Xamag) that uses gossip and secrets as bullets; the more well kept the secret, the more likely the bullet is to topple a dynasty.
*V.E.R.D.I.C.T is an acronym of all the collected names and identities they assumed in their lifetime. From 'V' to 'T' and then the cycle repeats back to 'V'.
I used to keep these names hush hush. But now that I've been playing them in campaign for a year, I'm fine with revealing these to the public.

What's their deal?
To give you an idea of Verdict's personality, here's a few things they did in campaign
Got into Cruel World's Catalogue and tamed the oldest known fear: "Fear of the dark". Kept it in a tiny box and then proceeded to forget about it in their coat pocket
Disarmed an assasin (Literally)
And I mean that verdict shot a bullet through one shoulder and out the other.
Fed the assassin apples like a horse.
Got their ESP by playing crosswords with said assassin
Tackled a person off of a building
and then used the inertia of their gunfire to break their own fall
Made a bomb forget it's a bomb.
Only orders Strawberry smoothies and chocolate milkshakes from bars
Basically Verdict doesn't give a damn. Send your lawyers, Verdict will fuck them.

(art by Onionerkun)
What do they look for in a friend?
Someone dangerous, someone who loves to "yes, and?" and play along with them. Because Verdict is super weird on their own. They want someone to match their freak behavior and not judge them for 1) killing people, and 2) being emotionally stunted and condescending.
Who’s their biggest enemy?
Is it other assassins? Is it a big bad that threatens to destroy the world and everyone Verdict loves???
No.
It's some guy called Embroil Wilder who always causes a scene and is confrontational. Embroil is played by my friend, Froglog!
Why does Verdict hate their co-worker who means well and looks nonthreatening??? Because Embroil never listens to ANYONE. and is so insistent on doing things his way (((THE STUPID WAY))) (Embroil signed a pact with the grim reaper without consulting anyone.)

[VISIONARY]
One of the GEIST employees I had the honor of designing for the upcoming act 3 of Reflection ttrpg.
thanks to the amazing reception from the folks who tuned into the announcement stream TvT! You get his spectrum of emotions in a single post. Design notes under the cut
First entry
Designing this man was a labor of love. I was tasked with designing a reserved individual who just wants to lay low and get by while giving him his own sense of character. So none of that spiky hair protagonist stuff.
On the other hand, making his hair straight would just run the risk of him being a Satyr look-alike. So that idea had to be defenestrated, too.
I ended up settling for an old classic of mine that's never failed me: cork-screw hair.
I've been getting into drawing hats recently, it makes the Visionary blend in with his peers. Throw that in with a half shaved-head on a pathetic looking old man and you'd get a stamped and approved bisectro design 👍
-----
With the sketch down, it was color placement time.
I had to take into consideration that his hair color provided a balancing contrast to the black of his GEIST outfit that would be later translatable to a casual outfit.
Usually, a good color for that would be RED! The problem: He'd look much like Shadow the Hedgehog. So I just reserved the red for his eye color.
Blue would have been good. But my gut wasn't really feeling it. And I didn't want people to assume he had ties to Ridill.
Frosted tips reminded me of that one B99 gag from years ago where they tied Jake Peralta to a chair and shaved his abhorrent hair off, so blonde was a No.
I was running out of colors on the color wheel.
"Green?" I asked myself, getting desperate. "Won't he look like Breach?"
So I looked inward and examined that I am a SUCKER for characters that show the roots of someone's hair being evident in their design. Born with green hair? You're a protagonist.
Dyed your hair green and left your black colored roots to grow out? Now THAT's a lifestyle choice.
Please tune into the show! I'll be updating this post as more things about him get revealed.
