So, we took one looked at the people-pleasing last born who is going to the school his parents want, going with his sister to hang out at the temple, drinking smoothies his brother cares about and hanging out with women that his brother clearly wants to hang out with.
We took one look at that boy and said he sexually assaulted his brother based on the fan theories that they are so darn sure they saw him spit out the drug, and that he's a magician so he MUST be a criminal mastermind who seduced his older brother.
EVEN THOUGH THE SHOW CLEARLY DEPICTS HIM REMEMBERING WHAT HAPPENED MUCH LATER THAN HIS BROTHER.
He kissed his brother. He gave him a hand job. He fucked the older woman.
All things he did in the shadow of a brother he worships, on a night he took drugs he knows nothing about.
Is it weird that he people-pleased till he fucked his brother???
YES.
But are we saying Saxon was innocent in all this? Are we now saying Saxon was sexually assaulted by Lochlan when both of them were high?
Saxon is affected. Yes. It's horrible to wake up and see that your brother gave you a handjob but as Chelsea said, no amount of drugs would make a normal person want to fuck their brother...
Unless they were already inclined that way to begin with.
I was just going to watch this show and keep my mouth shut but I'm so irritated by the narrative that Lochlan is some predator who stalked his brother.
Both of them are fools. Saxon groomed his brother without knowing that's what he was doing. Bringing up sex at every chance, talking about porn, about thier sister, ousting him to go with the girls. He made their relationship that way. Lochlan was the idiot who followed through and made any real thing happen but that didn't happen out of nowhere.
Especially when we have already established that Lochlan likes to please his siblings.
#white lotus#here we go again#people are so used to seeing a certain character type as week that the moment the character gains the upper hand#everuone assuns they're nefarious

People who hate Tommy sound like they don't know what a slowburn is.
Honey, you waited for seven fucking years and even in your wildest dreams, you NEVER would have imagined that the show would even hint at either Buck's or Eddie's sexuality being anything but straight.
Yet, you managed to get Bi-Buck. In a world of Supermatural and Star Trek and Teen Wolf and every other popular gay ship that was ever ignored/denied by creators, Tommy's presence is a blessing and a neon sign.
He gave us Bi-Buck.
He has called out Buck's and Eddie's relationship. More than anyone. More than Maddie, even.
He has opened the way for Buddie to happen.
A slow-burn. In a world where we never ever hope for a canon popular ship of two masc guys from the main cast, a slow burn is what we deserve. I would rather have one more season of Buck accepting his feelings but having to face a new obstacle: Eddie, himself.
A good story takes time. The way they've made us wait, I don't mind the wait anymore. Instead, now we get to enjoy literal fanfic tropes play out on our screen. Tommy isn't a hindrance. He never was.
He was/is a tunnel to a place that neither Buck nor Eddie knew existed.
I just wish y'all will let the storytellers tell the story they want to tell instead of crying about Tommy's presence, every second.

If they were both adults, Seulgi would be a first responder trying to save lives while Jaeyi stabs people and calls an ambulance just so she can see the cute paramedic.

So what is this?
A turning point?
Because Korean Bls suddenly started showing up everywhere, can we expect that the success of this show will encourage Korea to make other shows where girls/woman angst over each other?

I mean, I love fluff and all that, but I LOVED the angst of Seulgi going to sit alone, while Jaeyi watched her with such hurt and betrayal all over her face.

Toxic Love Interests
Usually, when people tout a romance for being Toxic on Both Sides™ , it's usually just Party A being an abusive piece of shit while Party B sets boundaries. As if shoving your partners head into a cabinet is a valid reaction to your partner avoiding you for a few days.
My point is, it's NEVER two toxic people. It's usually one toxic person who the entire fandom likes versus one unlikeable love interest who has no need to bow down before the person romantically pursuing them.
I say this to say:
That I pray that every post that says Firendly Rivaliry has the potential to be the girls manipulating eachother, turns out to be right.
I mean, I see the potential. Seulgi has shown that she can lie and fake her way around her problems. But I swear to god, I will flood this tag with so much anger if it turns out that she's not toxic with In. That all seulgi wants is some agency, meanwhile everyone wants to claim that she's manipulating In just because she's setting boundaries.
I swear to fucking god.

After Ryan Fletcher woke up from his coma and he saw Alex walking towards him, his first instinct was to stand behind Birkoff. Who is half his size.
I love how the show wrote men.
They were all badasses. Every single guy. Even the wicked ones. Even Percy who wore suites and smoked cigars got a moment to thrash people and show off his fighting skills. Even Birkoff the nerd. Even Ryan, the soft spoken analyst.
They gave all the men aura and strength.
But they also didn't shy away from giving the men weaknesses. Or making them human enough to show emotions other than anger and grrr.
We got to see them exoerienece fear. Fear that they weren't ashamed to show to loved ones.
Take the scene with Ryan and Alex. It wasn't obvious or overstated, but as soon as Ryan saw the woman he used to trust, he woman who shot him and nearly killed him, he sought support behind a friend. It wouldn't have mattered who. Man, woman, big or small, Ryan didn't care.
Alex... danger was around and so Ryan hid behind the nearest person. He didn't posture or puff out his chest or outrightly antagonise her to prove that he was a man.
He showed fear.
#ryan fletcher nikita#it made me want to cuddle him and hide him from the world#but he's a fictional adult

Just to show you how stupid the entire bottom/top discourse is.
Bible was seen as the "top" when he was partnered with Build. People would say, "oh look at how he follows Build everywhere to make sure that Build is safe."
As if there weren't hired bodyguards around them all the time.
But now, people are saying, "oh look at how he follows Jes around because he feels safe around Jes."
Meanwhile, Bible's behaviour is the same around both men. Why? Because they are/were his work partners. He isn't suddenly doing anything new around Jes that he never did before.
But because of some arbitrary assignment of top/bottom roles, people have chosen to read his actions however they please.
When they perceived him as a top, they put him n the place of protector. Now that they perceive him as a bottom, they've crafted an image of weak damsel.
Because the thought of people imagining that someone that they've labeled a bottom could possibly want to protect another person is so faaaaar fetched that it's impossible to comprehend. As if Bible became a totally new person the day that he decided to partner up with someone who people deem more "masculine" than him.
I'm not even going to touch all the "Apo is in his top era" comments.
