Okay, here's me being a dork today. For those who don't know, I'm like pretty dang good at math. Like getting 100s on calculus exams in college good at math.

And I didn't realize until tonight I've applied math to my art. I've been challenging myself to use colors in Quadrant one in my pieces heh

Stages of Understanding Legolas’s age

0: Oh look, I’m watching the movies and he looks fairly young

1: Ohhhh, he’s an Elf, he must be old as heck.

2: Oh he’s young for an Elf, aww, grumpy teenager.

3: Elves live for thousands of years, but at 100 they are fully grown. 2000 years old is a very respectable age for an Elf.

4: Elves age primarily by their experiences and practically nothing has happened in the last 3000 years on Middle Earth. Legolas has spent his life so far running pest control in his isolated kingdom, compared to every other Elf here, he is absurdly young.

after a lifetime of hearing about aragorn but not reading the books or watching the movies, genuinely nothing could have prepared me for his actual introduction. the hobbits picked this man out of a dumpster. he is a textbook softspoken angst prince and he is covered in dirt and he probably smells so bad. he’s the coolest man alive and is so casual about it. his number one skill is Knowing Where They Are and his number two skill is Having A Horrible Destiny That Torments Him. tolkien got it in one i’m afraid aragorn son of arathorn you are the guy of all time
