I’m not sure if this blog is active but who tf cares I’m already writing- Anyways what the flip flop paddy whomp happened to b!kai? I haven’t watched Ninjago in a while so I’m not sure if oni poisoning is a new thing or if you made it up. Anyways this is pretty long how you have a good whatever and bye bye

{Oh, yes, this is active! I'll go ahead and note: Anything here (assume) is made up by me or a different version of some element within Ninjago. In this case: This is made up}

Cole glanced around for a moment, now that panic had settled down from the rapids amount of coughing, as well as Kai's eyes turning to a relatively normal red again, just a bit of purple lacing in swirls. Although concerning, it was progress of healing.

"Oni poisoning is.. It's a deadly thing. It effects elemental users the most, but it attacks ruthlessly, without a care." Cole sighed just a bit as he pulled Kai closer to his chest, having cradling the boy in his arms out of protection and worry, "Typically, oni poisoning only comes after the fog hits.."

"But, the monastery is at a higher altitude, and the higher up the more deadly.. Kai's already immune compromised- It's a concerning thing.. The only chance we have at anything is to just try and keep more from entering and get what we can out. The body's natural response to oni poisoning is violent coughing to try and rid it."

"Lou!"

Swiftly, the father moved from his study to the kitchen, using his cane and the wall to move faster. The violent coughing didn't let up, moving to short and panicked screams, abruptly waking others.

Cole moved Lloyd off of him, settling him in Zane's arms despite the smaller boys protest, before going to Kai and narrowly catching him before his collapse to the ground. "Bring him here. Now."

Cole listened to his dad, lifting Kai and bringing the still struggling boy into his old bedroom, and laying him down. He didn't completely let go. With Kai's hands gripping his arm desperately to cling onto anything. The rapid growing purple scared Cole, only ever seeing it happen once.. That once was his mom.

"Here!" Lou came over as quickly as he could, before pressing a mask to Kai's mouth, Cole moving his hand along Kai's lungs. As Kai steadily began to breath more and more, the red returning, Cole breathed a sigh of relief.

"This.. Isn't good.." Lou muttered, once Kai's breathing completely steadily, the vice grip still on Cole's arm.

The storm took too long to pass, as Kai stayed up restless. The thundering lightning and pounding droplets, it scared him beyond belief.

But, he remained strong and steady, as much as he could at least. Glancing over to his right, he saw Jay and Nya cuddled close and asleep, which was good. To his left, Cole was curled up around Lloyd, both asleep as well. Good, again. They needed to rest. Once again, to his near left, Zane laid sprawled out on the couch, taking up the rest of it that Kai wasn't using to sit in. Still, no urge to sleep. Only anxiety bouncing through him rapidly..

He scooted free of Zane's legs, his seat now being taken by said legs when he stood, as he moved to the kitchen with light steps. Lou had retreated to his study for the time being, telling everyone that if he was needed to find him there or in his bedroom.

Sighing, Kai moved further into the kitchen, looking around for something to snack on as his stomach growled angrily. Thankfully, food was found as he searched, eating small bits, enough to satisfy the growling for now. He closed his eyes briefly, just trying to comprehend anything at the moment that wasn't his pounding heart or the storm.

Tomorrow was another day.. Tomorrow, they'd make it..

Small bits of coughing began to leave him, soon turning violent, as if trying to force every last bit of oxygen out of his lungs. Gasps made it through, trying to get air as he clutched the counter for stability. His vision wasn't focusing, only just able to hear Nya's voice through his own coughing. Not the words, just her voice.

He soon felt a hand on his back, nails moving along where his lungs were to help regulate his breathing ad much as possible. Only, after a minute or two, with the coughing barely lifting up, this was raising too much concern.

"Oni poisoning.." Nya said, taking one peak at Kai's eyes to see the normal bright red turning to pink and purple swirls.

After what felt like so long, the group of teens, plus pre-teen, made it to Cole's father's place. Lou was his name, thunder striking down in the background threateningly as Cole banged his fist on the door.

He tugged Lloyd closer to his chest, unaware of when the younger had wriggled into his arms, for warmth and security. The shivering of the smaller didn't let up, but neither did Cole's. At this rate, all of them would wind up sick if-

The door opened up, and while Lou wanted to look pissed off to the max, his eyebrows flicked upwards in concern. One eye was a bright yellow, while the other remained a deep red, as Cole shot a sheepish smile to his father. Without any words spoken, Lou limped out of the way and opened the door further, cane clenched tightly in his hand out of anger on behalf of his son's sopping wet conditions.

This wasn't the first time he's seen this, but this was the first of seeing the entire group.

As quickly as he could, Lou found everyone duffle bags of clothes, tossed onto the couch, and towels for them to use. Steadily, the group changed from their uncomfortably wet gi's into everyday clothing, wrapped tightly in blankets to warm up.

"Is this a.. Don't talk about it sort of deal, or..?" Lou asked, settling down on the chair nearby with his cane settled on the floor. Another, large strike of lightning was followed with Jay blankly staring, Zane and Nya moving him to lay down on the floor with his head propped up on a pillow and knees together and up, a blanket drapped over him in the process.

"It's more of a 'how do you deal with this' sort of deal." Cole said, fairly bluntly as he held the now-asleep Lloyd tight in his arms, a blanket wrapped around his shoulders and covering Lloyd completely. Kai has himself leaned on Zane, shivering intensely for being the elemental master of fire.

"Don't to back, that's a start," Lou said, sighing and leaning back in his chair, "without knowing details, I can't exactly help. But, we also need to make sure none of you are sick."

"So, resting for now?"

"At least until the storm passes."

Just after 'Double Trouble'...

Blinded one second, hit and sent back the next, Kai was flung onto the ground as harsh yelling assaulted his ears. He flung his mask down, covering his ears as tears filled his eyes at the overstimulation. The only thing he could register was Cole's distant yells and shouts back at the abuser.

Blinking a few times and getting his bearings, all of them were back at the monastery, Zane cradling Jay in a tight hold as the smaller was seemingly sobbing with Kai. Right in front of him, Cole stood threateningly, in a screaming match with their sensei: Garmadon. Nya and Lloyd were cowarding behind one of the beams, both of their eyes wide as they bared witness to the screams.

"I should have never put my trust in you four!" Garmadon shouted, the next words causing everyone to pause aside from Garmadon himself: "You're all worthless!"

Dark, stormy clouds rolled over, filling the blue sky menacingly. "Get out."

"S-Sensei-" Cole tried, but was immediately met with a swing of the staff that he blocked with his arm, eyes wide with fear.

"I said 'GET OUT'!" Garmadon shouted, causing the three on the ground to scatter up, rain beginning to fall as the four escaped through the front gates, rushing as quickly as they could.

Lloyd and Nya, although hiding at first, quickly scaled up the nearest wall and dropped on the other side, joining the ninja in their escape from the monastery. Even when far enough to be deemed safe, they didn't stop running, until they were well into the forest and nearly in the city.

That was when Kai official broke down in sobs, covering his mouth and whimpering to try and stay quiet, despite his best efforts proven fruitless. Nya moved a hand along her older brother's back, only coaxing him forward as Cole led the way, with Lloyd right by his side.

"Where are we going..?" The smaller blonde asked, having to move twice as fast to keep up with Cole's larger strides.

"We're going to my dad's place.. I don't give a shit how much I hate him, he knows better than I do of what to do." The eldest of them said, his breathing being the only thing hinting to the internal panic he felt, as rain began to pour drench their clothing, soaking them all to the bone by the time they entered the outskirts of Ninjago City.

"He just.. Started screaming at us.. We weren't even there, and he was yelling!" Zane said, his grip tight on Jay's hand to make sure the shorter didn't get separated from them.

"Well, it's too late to go back.. The only thing we can hope is that Cole's dad is merciful.." Nya said, barely heard above the raging pellets of rain, gripping onto Kai's hand for the same reason Zane held Jay's, at some point, Cole and Lloyd joining hands for the same reason. Paired together was better than separate, they were the only thing left of each other.

Okay, Bizzaro boys rambling time:

All of this information and headcanon formation comes from a lot for different sources. Primarily late-night Ao3 readings and one image set that I can't get out of my head but have NO CLUE where it is or who made it.

I'm putting it under a cut, this shit will get lengthy.

So, in terms of HOW the Bizzaros are and came to be, this goes heavily on an AU that I don't remember who created it, but pretty much the Bizzaros are a counter-universe to the Ninja. (Credit due, it was a Tumblr user)

I'm taking in on that, but also adding a few things: -They have their own memories and past life. -They have their own family and relations to each other. -They're almost the exact opposite of the ninjas.

Now, here's it laid out in terms of each character: We'll go from A to Z:

Bizzaro Cole starts off as much as Cole is but more: Very cocky, very stubborn, and very destructive. As time goes on, away from the ninja, he becomes less of a follower and more of a leader. Turning stoic, easily annoyed, but very stratigic and smart. He keeps a monitor on his fellow Bizzaros' health (physical), goes headfirst into combat strategy, and knows how to push buttons to get on people's nerves. In other words: A humanized bastard cat. Him and Cole would not get along too well, given for how protective B!Cole is and how laid back Cole is, they're two bulls ready to butt heads at times.

Bizzaro Jay starts off very flirty and very destructive craving, with hints of emotional instability. With time passing, a lot comes out about Jay. Primarily, a large regard of health issues. Muscle spasms, absence seizures, POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)- This comes with a large regard of worry for Jay's health, despite how many times he'll dismiss it. He turns very closed off and calculated, barely giving any emotional regard. Jay and him would NOT get along. With Jay's excitable nature mixing with B!Jay's Not Impressed nature, they'd struggle.

B!Kai starts with a very leadership, very protective nature towards the others, cocky about their abilities. With time, however, Kai practically caves in on himself. Emotional, anxiety ridden, and a people pleaser. It doesn't matter who it is or what they want, he'll do it. But, with the twist of a dime, with the right buttons pushed, he turns into a pyromatic and destructive being with fire abilities. This is where Cole's button pushing comes in handy, being able to get Kai to that destructive point and beyond. This does lead to an overcharged burnout afterwards. Him and Kai.. Oddly work together. Given that B!Kai is very quiet and will listen to what other's say, Kai doesn't find him a bother. Still, Kai would get jumpscared by how quiet B!Kai is.

Bizzaro Zane is.. Well, he starts off crazy and reckless, and that only amps up the less his spent and compared to Zane. One of his catchphrases being "Logic? What's the point in logic?!". Yes, Cole has a child leash. Yes, Zane is more often the one to have it on. Yes, Zane is very irritated by this. To put it lightly: Zane goes headfirst into battle without knowing what the battle is. He is a nindroid, yes, but treats himself like he's a human being rather than a killer robot. Him and Zane, they.. Uh.. Well, it's not the worst friendship ever? I mean, if you ask B!Zane, you'd get a bit of chaotic high praise. If you Zane, you're met with the most annoyed and exhausted expression that could be displayed on any living thing.

Their powers are darkened/purple versions, aside from Cole, his still being rocks and whatnot, but more of gems and geodes rather than pure earth.

Asking about a Bizzaro Nya is met with a lot of stilled silence and a solid threat of 'Never mention her', along with Kai stowing away for a couple of hours.

They tend to listen more to Sensei Gamardon more than Sensei Wu.

When I tell you that these boys can and will be traumatized by living in good Ninjago AND from a made-up past, they are.

I have more Bizzaro boy thoughts... So many thoughts about when as a total: SO! Last night, I found a Picrew (credit to ninjawhoa) and decided to craft the boys and explain their powers. Here we are! Once again, A - Z

Cole:

The chronically tired boy. While still a Master of Earth like his ninja counterpart, his power involves more gems and geodes. Able to summon them from his hands, protective shielding, and while there is no true scheming to them, they tend to lie around the purple and dark blues tones. He can throw literal spears of gems, or whole clumps of geodes towards his victim with no regard to the safety of the victim.

Jay:

Jay has a deep purple lightning that if very powerful compared to Jay's, but also takes more energy from his body. Since purple lightning appears closer to the atmosphere of the earth, Jay has to charge for a few days compared to his inventing counterpart, who takes a few hours to a day.

Kai:

On everyday: Kai uses black fire. A fire that's barely visible and very fragile like him, but effective for small things. But, it can flip on a dime to create white fire. Small, black fire spots can escape from his body, but white fire is the strongest and hottest flame that he can create when utterly pissed or protective. Small flares can leave from Kai's body (primarily hands and arms) when in the white fire stage.

Zane:

Black ice. While not used in the actual terms, it's just as dangerous as seeing black ice. Since it's so dark, and tends to be thicker, any captured in it is set up for a painful time. It's also much denser than normal ice, making it a useful (and deadly) makeshift weapon, second to rocks itself.

Another Picrew (credit to PotatoLord), and I've actually used this one before in a reblog/tag game before and it's gorgeous.

Anyways, there are a few things I want to talk about with the Bizzaro Boys, underneath the cut, but here's the Picrews (Cole, Kai, Jay, and Zane respectively)

Important note: These are (generally) my headcanon designs for the ninja, aside from red eyes, minor tweaks here and there (piercings, accessories, etc), and clothing style. All of those are cattered to the Bizzaros style.

In terms of how these boys function with each other: barely. They were raised to hate each other but love each other at the same time.

Now, discussion of styles:

Cole likes to decorate his body with gems and shiny objects, but generally keeps on dark clothing. Rings, earrings, piercings- He loves them all. His favorite being the spikey collar since it generally describes him: Rough exterior, soft interior.

Kai likes to bundle up with mutliple layers of clothing. Since black fire is much cooler than the average fire, he get cold and stays cold. The necklace is worn constantly, being a gold color. If it has a ring on it: generally stands for an anniversary or celebration (like a birthday). The necklace and ring came from his Nya. The piercings are for flare and so Zane came have a little fun putting gemstone earrings he creates to use.

Jay is fairly minimal in terms of style for on major reason: muscle spasms. Ths jacket is a line of safety in case he falls to the floor, no dangling anything, and only wears glasses for the blue-light protection and because he's farsighted.

Zane is Zane. Loves white, loves black, loves silver- He loves blacks and grays and whites and makes combinations of them constantly. The heart 'earring' is actually a magnet that Jay helped create so he could have some sort of 'piercing'. Generally: He has white freckles that scatter his body, but other tines, it looks like a white blush. It just depends on temperature outside which one comes through more.

How would you imagine Lloyd as a bizarro?

Alright! I am using these two Picrews again (first picture (ninjawhoa), second picture (PotatoLord)) for a reference towards Lloyd's outlooks

B!Lloyd and Lloyd are very similar to each other in terms of personality. Only, B!Lloyd tends to catter towards B!Cole in being more monotone and slightly irritable, but has more patience and sympathy towards strangers than the other four. He's the one you'd see in the face of danger to help get you to safety.

Elemental wise: it's dark energy. A black and purple like energy, but he still possess a golden power like his ninja counterpart. Very rarely does he actually use his power, due to the fact of the bizzaro world more than likely craving/hunting that power.

He does, however, still fight alongside the Bizzaro Ninja in battle, in the form of Samurai V! Yes, Lloyd is the samuri in the Bizzaro Verse.

In terms of styling, he takes after Kai with the layers of clothing, since dark energy makes him much colder as well. The piercings takes after Cole, who willingly pierced his ears. The glasses are partial to Jay, but Jay and Zane worked together to modify them for the samurai suit, so they're also partial a practically use.

He's still seen as the little kid of the group, but not of one that can't do things on his own. The ninja know the snacks stolen are going to his hoard, they also know that him shoving his face in Cole's jacket while getting a piggy back ride is still the same kid they found alone and sopping wet like a kitten. They love and will protect him, but also know that he's old enough and capable enough to make his own decisions.

Isn't Bizzaro Lloyd just Morro? /Hj

Pfft- You say this, and yet I have a cohesive story for Bizzaro Morro. And so, we make emo boy somehow MORE emo.

(Note, neither of these Picrews had an option for a green stripe, but use your imagination. ninjawhoa and PotatoLord)

In terms of personality, Morro generally has the same arch of: Being a kid, getting his hopes up and crushed, being vengeful, and acceptance + permadeath. But, in this, permadeath doesn't happen. Being vengeful only lasted so long.

Yes, Morro was and is angry, but angry at Lloyd was his mistake. Lloyd isn't even the green ninja here! This causes a major turn, findiut out how to give Morro a functioning body, and essentially just.. Letting him live as a kid. Yes, the green strip is still natural in his hair. Yes, he's still a little upset. But, the thing is, he can't find room to complain after so long.

He's a chronic hoodie stealer, Cole's being his favorite since they swallow him AND it's dark. Him and Lloyd have the same face scar due to Lloyd essential giving part of him to Morro (don't ask how, magic). He likes pulling the red of his eyes more than the green of his hair. Yes, he raids Kai's closet fir red items.

He's still the master of wind, but uses it more to be an annoyance than an actual threat. Zane is his main target because danger is fun. He lives weith the ninja and takes print on Kai's fake personality of bold and brave, enjoying the look, but also being completely unbothered because he's been bothered for so long it got exhausting.

YALL READY FOR LORE?

Okay, first off: Designs for three people. (Credits to ninjawhoa and PotatoLord once again for their Picrews)

The Neotic Brothers! While they're not biological brothers, they deeply care for each other.

Neuro, Master of Mind. Unlike his light counterpart, he's less gloomy and more cheerful and cocky about things. His powers are much stronger than Neruo's, which calls for vengestone to help limit the effects.

But, if he's a bizzaro, why are his eyes purple and not red?

Ash, Master of Smoke. Very weary and more on himself counter to the good smoke. His tends to be a much darker, almost purple-y, grey. Dense, thick, powerful. It helps to hide in the deep shadow.

But, those cuts looks fresh and not like scars, what happened?

Shade, Master of Shadow. The big guy to make them a trio. While he doesn't make the shots, he'll go anything to protect his brothers. Still calm and collected, he's less of a lone wolf like his good counterpart. Still mischievous as ever.

Wait, they both have gems??

Okay, okay- Lore time:

The Bizzaro world is not like Ninjago. It has been in ruins for generations upon generations. Power that's used in the world is power that's hunted. The three brothers have found each other and don't plan on losing each other easily.

Ash and Shade possess a physical element, smoke and shadow respectively. This power is a power hunted. The gems around their neck is a different kind of vengestone, only found within the Departed Realm, and the most powerful: Over Pured Vengestone. It takes a deeper, yet much colder color than pure vengestone.

While vengestone has the ability to pause elemental powers of the Ninjago world, in the Bizzaro world, it only limits. Bizzaro powers are far greater and thus take more to stop them.

Over pured vengestone grows with the elemental user in small doses. It limits, but not enough to completely cancel the powers out. This is helpful not to overuse the power and put the master at risk, yet still having access to it in tight spots.

But, how does this explain the purple eyes of Neuro and not of Ash and Shade?

Well... Neuro doesn't have an over pured vengestone crystal on him anywhere. He only has vengestone. Dark powers and elements in large quantities poisons and hurts the user. Despite how much vengestone liters through Neuro's body, he needs an over pured vengestone crystal to stop the effects of poison his element is causing.

Those cuts being fresh on Ash's cheek? The cuts on Shade's eye? Those are from keeping Departed Realm inhabitants at bay while Neuro retrieved any bits of over pured vengestone he could. While managing to grab a bit, it wasn't enough for everyone. Neuro's selfless, giving it all away and keeping only two for Shade and Ash. Despite their protests, Neuro refused to wear it and fashioned the necklaces for the two.

Okay, so, I clonked out last night, but here's some more LORE for Bizzaro Verse. (ninjawhoa and PotatoLord coming in once again!) This time..

Krux and Acronix!

But, what would THESE two have to do with Bizzaro Verse?

All in due time. And let's just say: They aren't evil. They never have been. History is written by the victorious party, and they were not victorious.

Scars on their neck is shared between them, as a reminder of their loss at the Monastery fighting the elemental masters, including Wu and Garmadon.

They may have lost that battle, but they will NOT lose the war. It doesn't matter how far the Fallout has gotten, or how thick the fog lays...

Their only goal is to save their home.

Ya'll ready for another round of Bizzaros? Absolutely NOT. So! Here we go! (Crediting, once again ninjawhoa and PotatoLord for the amazing Picrews)

Bolobo, Chamille, Tox, and Skylor! Aka, The Thrivers. This group of four have been around and stuck together for so long, they've become inseparable. Despite how much they've been through, it's why they're called The Thrivers. They've found a way to thrive through the Fallout.

Bolobo is the Master of Nature, the oldest sibling of him and Tox. Silent, tired, and protective: He runs as the group leader, using his element the most out of the group. Thankfully, it's proven successful. His nature element has taken a darker, sickening hue due to the environment itself.

Chamille, the Master of Form. Found by Tox, without any protection from the Fallout fog, Tox gave up her spiked collar, laced with over pured vengestone, to save Chamille from being further poisoned. But, permanent damage had already been done to her body. Hearing damage specifically, but vocal cords also became damaged. Unlike her counterpart, she is much lighter of tones, pink/purple, and tries to look on the brightside while being protective of her group.

Tox, the Master of Posion, younger sister to Bolobo. She gave up her only bit of over pured vengestone to Chamille so that she had a fighting chance. Still, her element is second-most used, protecting the group from being poisoned by the fog. This has kept her alive and undamaged for so long. She's friendly, willing to give someone the shirt off of her back to help them, and selfless despite warnings. She got caught in some tight spots due to this niceness, but has made through. While her body is going through a bought of elemental poisoning, she ignores it and bares through, using any of her power, and as much as possible. She's most likely to seen scavenging the surface, which is how she found...

Skylor, Master of Amber. He was caught up in a mix of rubble and fog with no power at his disposal to help. Had Tox not found and helped him, he would have been a goner. Him and his counterpart are very similar in personality, but rather he is a male while his counterpart is female. He tends to worry and fret more, and has become more of a healer of the group, due to an extensive amount of knowledge on the human body and how to heal it. Over pured vengestone earrings keeps his power at bay, as he is extremely vulnerable to elemental poisoning, due to his not being a physical element he can hold.

Bizzaro Verse facts: Eyes

Red eyes is the normal/average color

Purple eyes means elemental poisoning. This is not for elemental masters only, but most commonly seen in them.

Pink eyes means intense grief and/or weakening of powers.

Yellow eyes means blind or lost sight.

Orange eyes means actively losing sight. The more yellow, the more gone. The more red, the more seen.

Blue eyes means/can mean robotic. They tend to have red, but also depends on the creator for other colored eyes. Generally, blue is a safe zone of difference.

Boom! Group three: L'évadé. Aka, The Escaped/The Escapee.

Countless times, again and again, this group has managed to escape and evade as much as possible to find a safe spot.

Griffin Turner, Master of Speed, is very blunt and brutal while also remaining shy and nervous. He doesn't use his speed often, only when time calls for it, which makes him more restless, cuasing the nervousness. Rather than streaks of white trailing behind him, they've turned purple and black, no matter what clothing he wears.

Jacob Pevsner, Master of Sound, is a blind male that gets around with his other senses. Echolocation works best, but he mostly relies on other's sounds to tell when danger is around, or when a friend is near. He's sweet and selfless, looking and caring after the other two in the group as much as he's able to. He feels bad about requesting Griffin to not use his speed around him, as the soundwaves become painful, but makes sure that he tells both of them how much he appreciates them.

Karlof, Master of Metal, is a very stoic and protective guy of his group. If either of them are in danger, he's there faster than Griffin to help and protect. He relies less on talking and more on taps and sounds as a way of communicating, as well as silent gestures. A system has formed between these three, where Karlof doesn't have to rely on his voice, other than when need be, Griffin talks for Karlof, and Jacob understands and speaks for himself. The three have become very relied on each other. Karlof's metal is different than his counterpart, being very dense and dark, almost sickly.
