Thinking about a story where Ladybug and Chat Noir are forced to participate in a pop trivia quiz and one of the questions is on Adrien Agreste but Chat Noir gets asked it and Ladybug is dying because it's so obscure and no one beside her could possibly know it and then Chat Noir gives them the biggest grin and answers it perfectly.

If Adrien is a Sentimonster, then I would love a plotline to be that Gabriel simply removes him from existence when he finds out he is Chat Noir and Marinette, desperate to have Adrien back, finds a way to bring back a Sentimonster that has been removed from existence.

Only the only way to do it is to bring back everything else that the miraculous made since making that sentimonster so she has to choose between releasing the monsters and losing Adrien and deal with the consequences when she chooses Adrien. Possibly a little too dark for the show though.

Everyone is theorising about Marinette's childhood dream for Wishmaker like Adrien's childhood dream isn't to have friends which has already turned into a nightmare because so many of the people who are closest to him (Ladybug, Alya, Nino) are all excluding him and forcing him to not reveal his identity while they are all sharing theirs.

When Gabriel Agreste is revealed to be the monster he is and arrested, Adrien is gonna go absolutely feral. Like that boy has not been taught reasonable money management skills and will suddenly have access to his father's fortune. He will associate moderation with his father's neglectful treatment of him. It won't be giving Adrien a fortune. It will be giving Chat Noir a fortune.

And I for one am all for it.

Chat Noir: Hawkmoth seemed pretty upset at the idea Adrien Agreste might be hurt in Shanghai.

Chat Noir: He must be a fan!

*at an interview the next day*

Interviewer: Have you got a message for your fans?

Adrien: Stop comitting crimes!

Akumatised villian: Each the rich!

Chat Noir: Look, I totally agree with you but what about rich kids who are not independently wealthy and live under the oppressive control of their fathers and would totally donate their family fortune to medical research to find out what mysterious illness took their mother from them but can't because their father barely lets them leave the house, let alone have an allowance? Like, are you planning on eating them?

Akauma victim: ...

Ladybug: That was very specific.

Chat Noir: I was really fortune to be born with the ability to get everyone to like me.

Ladybug:...

Chat Noir: You could say it's my lucky charm

Marinette has a bad day. She gets upset, she sees the black butterfly coming towards her and she tries to fight back the emotion. She really tries. But then she hears the voice.

And it's Adrien's Dad. Hawkmoth is Adrien's dad. Does Adrien know? Is she going to have to be the one to tell him? Is he going to side with his father and leave her to fight him?

She tries to fight it, she tries to say no but there is so much emotion, so many things to take into consideration. She can't make a plan, she doesn't know how to fix it. And if she can't fix it, who can?

So she turns. And Chat Noir is horrified to see Marinette has been akumatised. He is even more horrified when Ladybug doesn't show up, when he has to fight his friend alone. But he destroys the object, traps the akuma and tries to work out what could have happened to Ladybug. Marinette leaves him and Ladybug appears. She's gotten her lucky charm, something to give her an excuse for not being able to show up, and she sets everything right, purifying the akuma. Then she looks at Chat Noir.

"I know who Hawkmoth is."

It seems that we will never see akumatized Ladybug in the series... In Thomas's words it's not a viable story...

Miraculous episode idea

Its another time travel episode where the Ladybug from the future comes back in time to help.

Only she's not Marinette. She's a blonde teenager who refuses to tell them her name or how she got the miraculous. Marinette argues that she probably just retired but Chat Noir is panicking that she's hurt and its not helped by Blonde!Ladybug's comments about how 'Ladybug can't do it at the moment' and 'It's all Chat's fault, really'. He's terrified that he somehow hurts, or worse kills, Marinette's Ladybug.

And Blonde!Ladybug notices because just before she goes back, she takes Chat Noir aside to try and calm him down and says 'These things will happen if you and mum insist on having this many children'.

It reassures him but it does nothing to calm him down.

My thoughts on senti-adrien

It's an idea that has been going around tumblr for a bit and I thought I would weigh in, not on whether I like it as an idea but on what I think the object could be.

My initial thought was the rings. Given how precious they appear to be, it seems like these are a good first bet. It comes with the assumption that both Adrien and Felix are sentimonsters and that each one is bound to an individual ring. It would explain why Felix and Amelie wanted the ring back so badly and why Felix was ultimately given it by his mother. However it does not explain Gabriel's decision to take the ring from his wife where it would be safer if he still has the ring that links to Adrien. It seems like a risky decision if the rings mean that much. However Gabriel might not know which ring Felix stole and therefore not know if he has the ring that controls Adrien or the one that controls Felix.

The book on Tibet from Gabriel's is my second choice. While there is a lot of Tibet paraphernalia in Gabriel's safe, the book seems like a strange thing to keep there, especially when a man who travels the world so much likely has a lot of books from the places he has visited. I refuse to believe a man as rich as he is doesn't have a book shelf. While the other Tibetian stuff such as hotel receipts and tickets might be stored there to cover up a trip, owning a guide book to a place does not mean you have visited, especially when you work in a creative career and might want inspiration. Also, I love to imagine Gabriel and Emelie being so excited that they have found the miraculous and can make the son of their dreams that they just grab the nearest item in their Tibetian hotel room, in that case a guide book, and use it to create Adrien.

My final suggestion is the peacock miraculous itself. We know the miraculous was damaged and we know that Emilie continued to use it behind Gabriel's back up until her disappearance a year ago so it must have been damaged before that point. The fact that Adrien never noticed even while he was a prisoner in the house suggests that it was used sparingly so it could have easily been damaged when Adrien was very young and needed time for the damage to affect Emilie. It is possible for the power of a miraculous to damage another miraculous as Chat Noir's cataclysm damaged the rabbit miraculous. Maybe reverting the power back in on itself was enough to damage it but Gabriel and Emilie couldn't bare to risk losing Adrien during attempts to repair it. Furthermore although we do not know what happens if an amok infects a living thing, Duusu's personality does seem to be very erratic but also shows close similarities to Adrien's: easily excited, oblivious, concerned for the well being of others. Perhaps the erratic behaviour is cause by the fact the Miraculous has an amok inside and is therefore sustaining another person.

Short bit of fluff

Ladybug could feel the heat on her face as she looked over the burning remains of Paris. They were fighting a threat she could have never imagined but she had her team with her and with Chat Noir by her side, she had no doubt they would win.

She was watching the villain, the others resting from a small skirmish they had just escaped from. Then she heard Chat Noir approaching. She smiled at him.

"It looks like we might actually die this time," he observed.

"We'll make it," Ladybug replied with confidence.

"Kinda makes you think though. About the important stuff."

"If this is leading up to a chat-up line, I'm not going to be happy," Ladybug joked.

Chat Noir came to sit beside her and let her rest her head against him. They had been dating for just over a year and Ladybug had loved every second. Chat was so noble, Adrien was so thoughtful. She thought it was all perfect.

"I had this big plan and everything was going to be perfect but... I don't even have it with me so I... this will have to do," Chat said nervously, wringing his hands together.

Ladybug gave him a strange look as he coaxed her to her feet. He glanced towards their friends, frowning slightly.

"Could you all look away? We'll warn you if anything happens."

Although confused, the other heroes obliged. They turned to look in the opposite direction, leaving Ladybug staring at Chat.

"Plagg, claws in," Chat said quietly.

Ladybug watched as the green light faded from around Chat and Adrien stood in his place. But before she could get a proper look at her boyfriend, he was moving, his form dropping until he rested on one knee, the miraculous held out between them.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, will you marry me?"

The future Hawkmoth theory

In Time Tagger it is implied to at least some extent that Lila will ultimately be the next Hawkmoth after the defeat of Gabriel Agreste.

However I am drawn to Nathalie's suggestion that Gabriel might not have actually failed in his quest. She argues that the future can be changed and that what they saw might only be a possible future. What if she is only half right? What if the future there is is not one where Gabriel fails? What is Emilie Agreste actually becomes the next Hawkmoth?

Much of what we know about Emilie comes from Adrien and while he gives his mother saintly qualities, Gabriel, who is in his own monstrous way a highly devoted husband, does admit she had bad qualities. He says she is stubborn, headstrong and overly too dramatic. For Gabriel to recognise that she does have these bad traits suggests that they were, at least on occasion, a noticable issue in the relationship.

Of the abilities and skills we know she has all lend evidence at least to some extent. She is a highly talented actress, enough to feature in films, which suggests she would be able to successfully work as the villain under her son's nose (with a certain amount of Adrien denying evidence out of joy his mother is back). We also know she is a lover of music, with Adrien having her old records and remembering duets with her which ties in nicely with the rapping future villain that is sent back to fight a past Ladybug and Chat Noir. Finally, we also know that she is a past miraculous user as she held the Peacock Miraculous. Given how Gabriel recognises the future villain is highly powerful, it is doubtful a user less experience than the heroes themselves would be able to create it, implying Lila, who has no experience using a miraculous herself, would not be the best candidate.

Finally, if Gabriel was defeated, wouldn't Ladybug and Chat Noir have taken the butterfly miraculous back and retired? Would Gabriel have planned a way to ensure Lila got hold of the Miraculous and had to accept that he would never get his wife back? Making a contingency that involves his own failure does not seem like Gabriel's doing. Whereas if he had succeed, Emilie returning would give her immediate access to the butterfly Miraculous and allow her to easily transform into the new Hawkmoth and creep away before Ladybug and Chat Noir realise the miraculous is missing.

I put it to you that Gabriel is successful at making his wish and is able to bring Emilie back to life. However the cost is his own life and perhaps a crisis that distracts the heroes for a short while. Perhaps she even recognises her son risking his life as Chat Noir. During the crisis, Emilie as headstrong and protective as her son is, comes up with a plan to fix everything. She steals the butterfly miraculous and acts as though she believes it was destroyed by the wish that took her husband. And then she sets about trying to make a wish of her own, one that stops any Agreste from ever getting their hand on a miraculous so her husband lives, her son is safe and she gets the life she always wanted.

I find it interesting how Adrien 'she's just a friend' Agreste tells Ladybug she isn't his friend when he gets hit by one of Dark Cupid's arrows. Just you know, makes you think...

I always assumed it worked because there was no damage to undo.

If the akuma had led to the lucky charm being used, Chat cataclysming it would be reversed when the repair was done and they'd still have to catch it.

Chat blanc broke in universe law?!

In Origins episodes it is established that only ladybug can purify the akumas.

Yet in this episode Chat Noir destroys the Akuma.

If he can do that, what is the point of Ladybug catching them?

She can restore the damage after the Akuma has left the object, so, yeah...

Marinette after learning Adrien is allergic to feathers: Oh my poor baby! Are you okay? How bad is it? Can you breathe? Everyone give him some air! Is that a feather? How dare you bring such a dangerous item near my poor, sweet angel!!

Ladybug not even five minutes after learning Chat is allergic to feathers: LET THE BIRDS TAKE HIM!!!

These are not predictions

Here is how I would take the Adrien and Felix drama will go down in the wake of season 3 ending. This is not a set of predictions. This is simply how I would take that plot line forwards.

- Adrien is not Gabriel Agreste's son.

- Adrien is actually Felix's twin brother.

- The solitude film Emilie stars in was filmed shortly before her sister gave birth to twin children. This is why Gabriel didn't want Adrien to watch it. In case he worked out how close the film should have been to his birthday and notice the lack of pregnancy.

- Amelie and Emilie had come to some sort of agreement about the babies before hand, likely because Emilie could not have children and therefore it was decided that Amelie's second child would go to her. When they learnt she was having twins, it was a scramble to make sure they had everything ready.

- Given that their family is linked to the film company, when Amelie decided to give up one of her children to Gabriel and Emilie, they squashed the film to stop people from getting suspicious or to stop it from drawing media attention.

- The two rings originally belonged to the two siblings and Amelie had them turned into the key to whatever area she has hidden Adrien's original birth certificate in.

- She gave the rings to her sister and her husband, thinking they would be best placed to determine when Adrien was ready to know the truth.

- However her sister slipped into a coma before they decided to tell Adrien and Amelie has begun to suspect that Gabriel never intends to tell him the truth

- This is further compounded in her mind when Gabriel refuses to allow Adrien to attend his 'uncle's' (her husband's) funeral (as stated by Felix)

- She decides she needs to get at least one of the rings back so she has some control of the situation and thus starts the fighting between her and Gabriel

- At one point she rants to Felix about the situation, revealing to him that Adrien is his brother and alerting him to the fact that the family is mixed up with miraculouses (she knows her sister had the Peacock one)

- Felix fills in the blanks, surmising that Adrien is Chat Noir and wrongly presuming that Gabriel somehow controls the handing out of miraculouses as his family seems to be favoured and Adrien seems to have a very close relationship with Ladybug

- Felix therefore swiped Gabriel's ring, hoping he can blackmail Gabriel into giving him a miraclulous in exchange for not telling Adrien about his true parentage.

- Amelie lets him keep the ring as she feels like he deserves to have access to the knowledge he has a brother given how much family he has lost.

- Felix then spends time getting close to the family with the excuse of wanting to spend more time with Adrien and uses the fact he has one of the rings to make Gabriel listen. He then searches the house for the spare ring, knowing that if there is an akuma attack, Adrien is going to disappear to become Chat Noir.

- Eventually he finds the other ring and goes to blackmail Gabriel. Gabriel decides that he can't let Felix force his hand because he believes he will be able to get things back to normal in his family when he wishes Emilie better and wants her to have a say in what Adrien knows.

- Therefore Gabriel causes another akuma situation similar to the end of season 2 and sends his Akuma victims across the city hunting for Felix.

- In the hunt for Felix, the Akuma victims attract the attention of Ladybug and Chat Noir who go to stop them.

- In a high stress situation, Felix reveals Adrien's identity, not only as Chat Noir but as his brother and leaves Adrien reeling.

- Adrien eventually confronts Gabriel which leaves him to go on the classic villain 'I'd rather destroy everything than not get what I want' meltdown which prompts the final battle.
