*So this idea came to me after watching an old interview with Jeremy after first season where he said he ran his hands through his hair a lot, so if it was real life he would need a hairnet. And while practicing with other chefs he would wear a cap to contain his hair*
So I thought that if Carmy ever came into the kitchen with long hair and no gel he would ask Syd for help and she'd help and approve because kitchen safety ofc 😏(I think Marcus would say beanies are better and Luca argue about headbands but he would prefer Syd scarf... for reasons🤐)

so i saw this and i started thinking about how everybody at the beef/the bear probably felt very sorry that sydney never got to meet michael (incuding sydney herself)
until one day, everybody is at nat and pete's for some sort of get together and of course, emmanuel is there too, and they all start sharing stories
and emmanuel tells the story of the first time he took syd to the beef. it was shortly after syd's mom died, so they were both a little lost, sort of drifting through the day, and emmanuel had forgotten to cook that day so he just walked into this sandwich shop hoping to grab some food and be on his way
eventually, emmanuel has to go to the bathroom, leaving syd alone in the dining room, and when he comes back sydney is playing ballbreaker and there's this kid playing with her - maybe 18 or 19, dark haired and wearing a beef tshirt. he's loud and making jokes and seems fully commited to the game.
and that's when emmanuel realizes this is the first time in days he has seen his daugther smile.
they end up spending the whole day at the beef - all of the money in emmanuel's wallet goes into ballbreaker, and the kid (he never got his name) even pays for a couple more matches after that.
and that is the day emmanuel decided the beef would be his and syd's sunday spot from now on
#the bear#gosh if that wasn't a little lie she may have told to get the job (still not sure) that would be perfect#really wish to see more of her past🙏#so excited for tonight
