I love Conclave 2016 so much. The book was wonderful. I love an older, frailer 70-something completely impotent Lomeli. I love a pretty, underfed, delicate, late-60s Benitez. But I also love that changing up their characters and injecting younger, thiccer actors with more vim and vigor into these roles in Conclave 2024 allowed me to ship the fuck out of them. I can't make a 73 year old in remission from prostate cancer get rigorously banged by a slender, 67 year old man-boy and not break his hip in the process (maybe both of their hips). Meanwhile, Thomas Lawrence is THICC and MUSCLY and only 62, and Film Benitez is a soft, sensual, well fed guy in his mid 50s, and he could realistically blow Lawrence's back out without him ending up in the intensive care ward of his local hospital. I'm selfish, but I think ya'll can at least somewhat relate?
Anyway, good casting job is all I'm going to say. Both book and Film slap incredibly much, but if you literally slapped Lomeli, he'd fall over and need an ambulance. Bless.

Thomas: Ray retired right after I did. Thomas: He said we should move together to a little house overlooking the sea. It will save a ton of money on rent, so I said sure!
