Happy Monday! How’s everyone’s day going?? I’ve been so stressed out lately I haven’t been putting much energy into the gym lately. Lost 6 pounds within like 4-5 days and I was def not thrilled to step on the scale and see that after all the hard work I put in these past couple weeks since I’ve started my fitness journey but I’m going to keep pushing through and just give it my all the rest of the week! What I did was liquify the blueberries with the yogurt, banana, spinach, lemon juice, avocado, & maca root powder. ‼️Sappy Post‼️ Back in elementary school, 6th grade to be specific I have always struggled with being insecure - only because I was black. Yep. I would tell my oldest cousin all the time how I was so ugly, dark, and I hated my hair all the time and I that I wish I was white. I would literally cry because I wanted to be white so bad and couldn’t. As a little black girl, my hair was always done rather it was braids, shark finns, donut buns or fake ponytails, or just any typical “black girl hairstyle” and I hated it, hated it, hated it, hated it. So once my junior year of high school came around and my dad wasn’t able to do my hair anymore I swore I would never get any kind of “black girl hairstyles” because I didn’t want to be judged or looked at as a ghetto/ratchet black girl and that’s when I started wearing wigs and sew-ins thinking it made me prettier because white girls have straight “pretty” hair. Well, today I got box braids. And it was the best decision I’ve made in A very long time. I love my braids sooooooooooooo much and I just feel like there’s so much of my culture that I tried to hide under the rug for so long because of how people would look at me and now I do not care at all. I love my skin complexion now, I love my natural hair, I love that I am AFRICAN American. I LOVE BEING UNAPOLOGETICALLY BLACK!!! 👅🤙🏾✊🏾 #blackgirlmagic #melaninpoppin #blacklivesmatter 💓💓
