I have never been so happy to have been sterilized in my life. I would never want to raise a kid in the future being created right now in the U.S.
Education, environment, financial security, free speech, bssic rights, etc. are all in danger.
(I apologize for the insensitivity of this to people who are trying to have kids and people in war zones RN, but I these are my true feels and I am allowed to express my concerns.)

I feel like my only modes the past month have been:
- obsessively read the news (so I can be prepared)
- zone out in fiction (anywhere but here)
- sleep like the dead

i think a lot of people don't realize that when you are in extreme and acute pain you don't have the ability sometimes to reason or communicate clearly. It's harder to understand things and be able to rationalize and communicate and articulate yourself well when your pain is impairing that function. Please be patient with people in acute pain, it takes way more mental energy to come up with a coherent thought or phrase when your body is fighting with you.

I can't say it enough. I am in the United States and I hate all of this. DO. NOT. WANT.

I would just like to state for the record that I live in the United States, and it is scary here as a white female recently. (Not active war scary, but seeing the potential path to such a scenario scary.) I fear and mourn for everyone who has more reason to worry than I do. I fear for a world where these horrors are taking root and spreading. It was too easy.

Reality check: You may not be eligible for an organ transplant. You don't get one just because one of yours is failing. Don't bank on that as a back-up.
Even if you are eligible, it is not a cure. It's a temporary extension at best. Do your research. Take care of what you can. Don't get to that point if you can help it.

One of the flares I consider the most inconvenient flares is anything in the hand or wrist. Very distracting, often encountered, and hard to avoid using those joints. Even flares in my ankle do not hinder me as much. My right hand currently has a weight limit, a pressure limit, and twist motion limit... Anything heavier than a cup triggers pain in my wrist that makes me forget where I am for a second. I end up dropping a lot from that pain or from grip weakness. I am wearing a brace which helps somewhat, but not as much as I would have hoped it would.
The only joints that are more distracting are ribs (everytime you breathe).

Fatigue feels like you have sandbags tied to your feet while trying to walk. It feels like you havenโt slept in weeks. It feels like gravity is pulling you down. It feels like cotton balls are in your head, clouding everything.
Fatigue is NOT the equivalent to being tired.
