My full Post Sonic 3 Stone design:

his outfit includes the movie 1!Robotnik jacket & control gloves, with the rest of the look being loosely inspired by Eggman Nega?

I went through a few concepts before the comic became what it was, including another comic concept and an animatic:

The animatic specifically was going to be of "Because I Asked You" by Eleanor Friedberger, and was going to have a lil chibi intro of pre-movie 1 Stone & Robotnik.

I didnt get far in it obviously but one of the parts was salvaged and reused for the finished comic!

He falls in love with John, I feel like by the time he realizes it is love he would not also register the taboo of it (the fact that most would consider John a demon, and a man, and this is the 1920s)
